My Honda lawnmower HRX 537 HY, suffered a catastrophic engine failure almost three weeks ago. The connecting rod fractured and exploded through the engine housing, no doubt bending the valve stems, destroying the piston crown, scoring the bore, damaging the crankshaft and depositing debris into the sump pan. The machine was less than 1 year old.
Honda’s first proposal was to rebuild the engine; impossible in my view.
By the way, this is my 11th. Honda Lawnmower over the course of the last 35 years. I normally replace them every 3 years. It’s undoubtedly a well designed, well built,quality product. Prior to this, I’ve only once had an issue. A gearbox failed and it was replaced, under warranty, in three days.
On this occasion Honda have taken over two weeks to consider my claim, oblivious to my in convenience, expense and distress.
Finally, having been forced to engage contractors to cut my lawns (£450 over the course of almost 3 weeks), I lost patience and instructed my solicitors to serve notice on the retailer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Only then did I make some progress and thanks to pressure from the retailer Honda agreed to replace the engine.
This is an absolute disgrace and i am completely dissatisfied. The lawnmower should have been replaced within two days, in my view.
7 YEAR GUARANTEE “WORTHLESS” and the person dealing with the warranty claim, “Dupe”, wilfully incompetent. Claim Ref. CC-1499918: CRM:0810000162

Customer service is excellent. Price of my lawnmower was only slightly higher than the lowest other quote, but Just Lawnmowers built the mower and showed me how everything worked, which was worth more to me than the slight difference in price. I appreciated that I could easily talk to a real person, too, not a bot. I'd definitely use this company again.

Great choice so went with the Stiga 792
Great online store and lots of choice. I decided on a Stiga 792 ride on which was competitly priced.
Kept me up to date on the order and delivery and the guy who delivered helped me understand the workings of the new ride on. I had an old Alko but the newer models have new things so good to know.
Would recommend them 100%
The Stiga is doing a great job on the lawn.

There was a problem with the delivery but was quickly sorted by the company and was delivery fast and the stihl strimmer a received am well happy with it and it's light weight which is another bonus 😀.

The first delivery had to be aborted because there was an issue with the machine. They didn't make excuses but called and explained the situation for us to agree the next steps. On the day, it was delivered on time and they took the time to explain the process with the machine
