Flexible, great communication, quality education

Love it and the way they treat my child with special needs.

I love the flexibility of the program and they getting a great education

The communication this year was not there like years before the system itself has gone down.

The curriculum in the past 2 years (2024-2026) has become almost completely online and parents no longer reveive teaching instructions. Although class frequency has increased, it is very hard for the youngest students (Kindergarteners-1st Graders) to keep up and retain attentiveness especially with such large classrooms. Children easily get bored and do not learn. Teachers do not have a system in place to personalize education and help students that are falling behind. As a parent, I had to teach my child many topics on my own again and without any teaching guides. K12 and VAVA have gone from being a 5-star education system (in years prior to 2024) to a 1-star one. The attendance reminder system was malfunctioning all school year (2025-2026) and teachers and admin were not sending notifications timely or on a regular basis.

Everything is good

Last year our homeroom teacher was fantastic!!! This year if we get a response at all it is amazing. Our student had 3 teachers go on maternity leave . New teachers new way to do things. Then system changes mid year were confusing. Definitely go back to the way things were last year. Once a assignment is complete it changes colors. Make all the days assignments in one place.

I love Vava! My son is doing very well. He is a rising fourth grader and has been with Vava since he started kindergarten.

The ease and convenience is wonderful

It was great for my granddaughter being able to study and complete her education in the comfort of our home. The staff is really great and always emails her back when she has problems.

Amazing teachers my boys are thriving.

I love their way of teaching and support students who is struggling academically and all other way. All the teachers are responsible and sincere.

My children have done so well with VA Virtual Academy. My children are able to learn, while having fun in the safety of their own home. There's no outside stress or distractions that usually occur in a normal school setting. My daughter's first time in school, she was told she needed to go to pre-k because she wasn't "ready" after only 2 weeks. We immediately joined k12 VAVA, and after only 1 week, my daughter was able to do EVERYTHING and more of what they said she could not. I love how quick they are to help my children when they are struggling with a subject. All the teachers are very passionate about their students, and it shows. They have passion and patience. I couldn't have chosen a better school for my children, and I'm so thankful I made the right choice.

Being in a safe, comfortable environment can make it way easier to focus and actually enjoy what you’re doing. And learning at your own pace is a huge advantage—you can slow down when something is confusing and move faster when it’s easy, instead of feeling rushed or held back.
