Awful. Avoid.
One of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve had.
I placed an order with CoffeeFriend de (€1800), paid the full amount shown at checkout, and only after payment was contacted and told I needed to pay additional delivery charges to Ireland. There was absolutely no indication anywhere on the website that extra fees might apply. That is misleading pricing, plain and simple.
When I pointed out that the contract was already formed at the price I paid, I was told this was because I ordered via the “DE website” rather than an “EU website” an internal issue that was never disclosed to the customer and should not be the customer’s problem.
After refusing to pay more than the agreed price, the order was cancelled and I was informed that my refund could take up to 14 days. This is completely unreasonable for a SEPA-region refund, especially when the cancellation was caused by their own pricing failure. A refund should take days, not weeks.
Poor transparency, poor systems, and poor customer care from start to finish. If you’re ordering from Ireland, or expect honest pricing and timely refunds. I would strongly advise avoiding this company.
