Extremely poor communication and a complete waste of my time.

I repeatedly contacted Kays over several weeks regarding a commercial property they were advertising for lease. Every time I called, I was told they did not yet have access to the premises and that they would contact me as soon as a viewing could be arranged.

Despite numerous follow-up calls from me, nobody ever got back to me as promised. When I eventually called again for an update, I was informed that the property had already been let to someone else.

If the property was attracting interest, I would have expected basic communication and professionalism. Instead, I was left chasing updates for weeks while receiving the same response over and over again, only to find out the opportunity had been given to someone else.

This reflects very poorly on the service provided to prospective tenants and raises questions about how effectively properties are being marketed on behalf of landlords. I would not recommend dealing with this agency based on my experience.

Incredibly generous star

Incredibly generous star. Johnathan Derbyshire (owner of Kays Estate Agents), in Blackpool, has a lacklustre approach to his designated staff and tenants. He comes from an esteemed background (typical politician vibe), and thinks he knows it all. In short, he allows his 2-bit crappy estate agents to operate, and rent out filthy, uninhabitable properties, you wouldn't put an animal in. Fewer humane rights, more holidays, and skimming off the top. Avoid, and I implore anyone either considering renting or buying, go to Vegas, blindfolded, and play roulette. At least you have viability. Call Trading Standards, and close down these money-grabbing estate agents/landlords that rent out dire properties. Make a stand, from your own conviction of intolerance, to just accept this is as good as it gets. Properties with damp, black mould on your mattress, rodent/pest control, dodgy, wired-up meters. This is exactly the company that should have been closed down back in the 80's.
