A very complicated property transaction spanning several years has reached a satisfactory conclusion with the help of Mr Kimat Singh of the Commercial property department and his colleagues. Many thanks to all of you for your attention to detail.

I just feel Kerseys does not care. They all seem to hide behind anonymous emails (without names), locum's (they appear to have alot) can not seem to make any actions/decisions, and no one can not take calls. You are completely at their mercy. We have been waiting in a chain and Kerseys have been holding it up, firstly someone was on holiday, then a Locum arrived but had no authority to take any action, when the person from holiday returned, they had 'changed seats', so the file went to a new person who then went on holiday. You see the frustration. And before the reply says contact Jane Riley (or my solicitor should) - we have both tried!!! I would avoid using.

This law firm is highly unreliable and consistently the weak link in property transactions. Other solicitors in Ipswich frequently complain about their delays, which often disrupt property chains. Our transaction is at risk of collapsing due to their inaction and failure to respond to correspondence. They are disorganised and unresponsive—avoid at all costs!

Unfortunately, I had a dreadful experience with Kersey's, with a lack of communication, slow process with very little clarity or support. It has been an incredibly unprofessional experience with completion dates promised and not met without any communication as to why. Initial contact was made with no response from Edward for another 4 weeks, despite multiple calls and emails in between. These lack of updates continued and the whole process took longer than required for what still appears to be no real reason. Process dragged from July to October with weeks of chasing and radio silence.
Would avoid like the plague if you are looking for a solicitor in the future if you want your purchase/sale to complete with any clarity or realistic timeframes.
November update: Kersey’s feel the way I was ignored, their lack of clarity and sitting on my funds ahead of transfer was professional. Still no clear reason has been given for the unnecessary delays, would recommend using literally any other solicitor.

Jenny Dawson ably supported by Claire Ryan facilitated the purchase of a dormer bungalow, quickly followed by the sale of our bungalow. They moved things along at a steady pace, helped us resolve issues with least stress and kept to the agreed budget. Updates could have been a bit more frequent, but overall we were delighted with the outcomes and their ability to work with us to handle any issues that arose.

Unfortunately, my experience with the Ipswich branch of Kerseys Solicitors has been disappointing. Each time I contacted SL to request updates or ask questions, I felt like I was bothering her and she appeared annoyed. The process has been very slow, with little clarity or useful advice on how to handle issues efficiently. If your priority is to sell your property quickly, I would advise looking elsewhere, as Kerseys Solicitors do not seem equipped to support a timely sale.

I have been using Kerseys in Ipswich for in excess of 25 years, probably longer. Never had any problems at all. Top rate professional service, trustworthy and great staff and office easy accessible in Lloyds Avenue, Ipswich. Why would I want to use any other company?

Annalie is honestly the nicest, friendliest solicitor I’ve ever spoken to. Highly recommended.

Everything was managed extremely well & efficiently and I was kept in touch with progress at regular intervals.
With any of the more complex parts I was given immediate and very useful advice in order to protect my position.
All outstanding matters were chased and brought to a very satisfactory and timely conclusion - first class!

I cannot stress enough how much I urge you to look at other options for choices of Solicitor. I instructed Kersey’s to deal with the sale of my house and Edward Thomson was assigned to me. The level of support and communication throughout was awful. It has been an outrageously unprofessional 4 months but let me provide just the highlights:
1. An additional document (Deed of Variation) was required to complete this sale, which was not their fault, but the chain needed to be kept informed of progress. From that moment and despite chasing constantly via phone and email, I received no response from Edward for 13 days. Finally, I received a one-line email at 6:30 in the evening saying that he is working on my case but said little else. It was then a further 12 days before I got anything else from him. So, during a critical period where the chain was at risk of falling apart due to lack of confidence in what was happening, a solicitor that I had paid nearly £2000 for his services, only contacted me once in a month with zero info of note in that one correspondence.
2. Following this lack of comms, I had to take it upon myself to be the go between for all parties, providing daily updates and action plans to all involved. Unsurprisingly, the only person who did not contribute to that email trail for the next 10 days or so was Edward. Any information I got from him (which was little to none over this period) was only provided by the Estate Agent who it seemed Edward would answer the phone to. Had I not carried out this daily task for 2-3 weeks this sale would have fallen through.
3. By the time Edward finally resurfaced with the information needed, time was critically short, so I had to do a 300-mile car journey to ensure he got the signed documents in person, 24 hours before completion. Placing the documents in his hand I asked him to confirm if there was anything else needed and he assured my this was all now ready to complete. At 4pm that afternoon however, after I had made it home, he informed me that the Transfer Deed (TR1) had been forgotten due to, and I quote, ‘all the pressure being on the DoV’. Despite how critical an omission this was, he only informed me via email and didn’t even try to call. I proceeded to email him 3 times, call him 11 times and call his office twice to speak to him about this with no response. Once again, he finally responded by email about 6:30 in the evening. Fortunately, an e-document was created, and I managed to chase around again and got the signatures required to complete the sale.
4. Finally on completion, Edward then managed to send over £15000 of my money to the wrong person. When challenged on this he first claimed that he had not been told that this money should go elsewhere and then, when shown the email he had been sent which clearly stated this, he still refused to apologise or reimburse me for the cost of having that money redirected. He is now failing to answer any of my emails.
Based on all the above which I have ample written evidence of, may I advise you to look elsewhere for your support needs to avoid going through the stress I went through that I had to pay for the privilege of receiving.

Elliot Steele arranged a Commercial Lease for me. The whole process was very efficient, and communications were swift.
Second time I’ve used Elliot at Kerseys, and I thoroughly recommend them.

I have had the pleasure of having Jenny Dawson from Kerseys Felixstowe manage the sale of my apartment and the purchase of my new home and she is absolutely brilliant.
Jenny is extremely professional and patient and I would highly recommend her.
Her communication is excellent and she kept me up to date with everything from start to finish!
She has a no nonsense approach and gets the job done! She also keeps her word unlike a lot of solicitors these days! If you want a honest solicitor don’t look any further.

I have dealt with this firm during several cases as they were always my parents' go to solicitors. However, I found them to be frustratingly slow in the sale of my late father's property, and in the case of my own personal divorce, they accidentally shared all of the information from another client's case with me which not only is a breach of privacy but was also upsetting and very unprofessional. Very poor service all round.

I have never rated a company below 4 stars. Unefical, just because they know a few big words in English they think they know better. I'm not going to take revenge because karma said relax, take a seat i've got them.
Annalie was absolutely incredible this morning. Extremely kind, patient and very helpful. I felt she definitely went above and beyond to be able to reassure me with a query I came to her with in the morning very quickly and thoroughly. Including checking with a collegue. A fantastic team. If I ever need further help I know where I will go with confidence. Thank you so much again Annalie I am extremely grateful.
