Such an example of what a company should not be.

While undertaking a major revamp of our backyard in the Fall of 2022, we purchased 9 (model 28304) outdoor landscape lights to illuminate our backyard.

All was well until last (2024) Fall when two lights went out.

I called the company to ask for replacement bulbs as our warranty states, "Oem LED light bulbs are warranted for five (5) years or 25,000 hours, whichever comes first."

The company's response:

"Please swap out the bulbs to other fixtures that are working to ascertain whether the bulbs have indeed failed."

Since only two bulbs had failed and since I would have to crawl on the ground to detach them, I just put off doing what they requested.

4 months went by and now 7 bulbs were not working. I finally did check and indeed the bulbs themselves had failed.

I called the company again and was told to send them proof of purchase which I did. I had purchased all 9 fixtures for about $300.00 on ebay from a business that was selling 100's of them. I sent a copy of my receipt.

Kichler's response: "Sorry but we do not honor warranties unless you purchased the fixtures at Lowes." Nowhere in the warranty is this stated. When I emailed them this, their next response was that "...this item is now discontinued and we will not replace the bulbs."

Okay...crappy company...so I'm probably out about $50-$75.00 to replace the bulbs. Well...turns out a package of 6 bulbs on Amazon was 18.99. I purchased 2 packs and all is well.

BUT...Kichler's cost for these bulbs is probably under $10.00 and yet they forced me to spend wasted time and did not honor their warranty for $10.00...

A very crappy company!
