Their return system is designed to prevent people from returning faulty items. Their corporate leaders have decided to implement the worst return process and system on the planet- to perpetuate profits and steal from consumers.

NO ONE SHOULD BUY FROM THEM DIRECTLY. THESE CROOKS WILL NOT LET YOU RETURN ANY ITEM.

Only method to return/exchange a…

Only method to return/exchange a product is via phone (estimate wait times are +2hrs the two times I called). It's a tactic to avoid processing returns and the avererage person can't wait that long without life interfering.

I also provide product information and serial numbers to receive mixing paddles. After 1 month long wait I received the incorrect sizes.

brand new kitchen aid mixer doesn't work. My daughter received it as a shower gift and as she wasn't in her house yet, didn't have a need to open it and when she did it didn't work and Kitchen Aid won't do anything because its out of warranty

Customer service is terrible:( I’ve been trying to call and chat for order status which is label created (3 weeks so far) but FedEx never has the package. Waiting time is more than one hour still no response. Finally I got real person to talk and she transferred me to special team which I was on line waiting hour is more than one hour! I will not purchase KitchenAid again! Angry customer!

Worst customer service

I have waited so long for a kitchen aid mixer only to be faced with the WORST customer service I have ever received. I waited 45 min online for a chat, refreshing often just in case. Finally refreshed to see a message 10 min prior saying I didn’t respond so they disconnected. While I was waiting for the chat I called, after being on hold for 45 min, the person talked over me, would not answer my yes or no questions with a yes or no, gave me attitude when I reiterated my yes or no question so I could get an actual answer. They told me my package had to have no movement for 14 days before they could do anything. I asked does that mean I have to call back in 14 days because I don’t know if they automatically track that or not. The response is they don’t sit there and watch every single order how else are they supposed to know etc etc. Well as it is not my job, I also don’t know. There could be a simple button to select for all I know. Anyways, they have lost a me as a return customer.

absolutely no customer service

absolutely no customer service! I ordered a mixer and it said it would be delivered Dec 8th.....Dec 8th no update and not shipped. I can't get a hold of anyone by any means. Terrible customer service!

IF I COULD RATE THIS A ZERO I WOULD

If I could give this a ZERO I would. A company with a good product but doesn't give a damn about it's customers, at all. I've been on hold for OVER an hour. SECOND TIME since I made this order. I was told a one hour wait time. Every time the recording comes on it tells me I STILL HAVE AN HOUR TO WAIT. I started a chat and was told DANIELA would be RIGHT WITH ME. After 40 minutes I refreshed Then I got Jackie who never responded and deleted my chat of very detailed notes

Now I'm trying for a THIRD attempt while I contuinue on HOLD HELL.

Kitchen Aid your customer service S U C K S!!!!!!!

Kitchenmodel number koec730sps smart

Purchased model number koec730sps smart combo oven micro from Lowe’s on oct 29. 2 days after install controls locked up. Service came 1 week latter. The part needed is not available because the unit is too new have to allow 14 business days to find part. If no part is available, have to allow 10 business days . On the 18th of Dec will start paperwork for replacement unit. Total time so far will be approx 45 days before our next step. Update dec 12 . After waiting 1 hour 5 min I was the person informed me the representative I spoke to failed to file the paperwork for replacement. I now have to wait 10 more working days ( Jan. 9 ) . I then will be able to submit the replacement request. This will be 3mo since my initial service request with no oven/microwave. What a bunch of !!!!

Dangerous design would not recommend

We do not like the new oven!!!!We had to replace our KitchenAid double Oven and it had to fit in a 24" spot. Our kitchen was built in 1963 with a 24 inch double oven. That oven lasted 40 years.
We replaced it in 2005 with another good KitchenAid double oven
Now we had to replace it again in 2024 and the oven is terrible. The new safety regulations make the oven interior size so small. I can't use any of my existing pan that I used in my 24 inch oven.
The door sticks out farther and I can barely reach in to get my pan out and I'm 5 foot six.
The shelf slides are so slick that the shelf tilts 1/4"as it comes out and then falls down that quarter inch and the pan wants to fly out on my leg or my arms. It's very dangerous!!!
I would not purchase a kitchen Aid until they can come up with a fix so my pans don't fall out of the oven . TOO DANGEROUS!!!

my brand new dishwasher doesnt work and Kitchen aid wont extend the warranty

I have a brand new dishawasher that stopped working right after 2 months. The part that we need to repair the dishwasher- the control board is out of stock and there is no ETA. I asked for them to extend my warranty because I cant use my brand new dishwasher now for over 1 month and the customer rep told me that they dont extend warranties. However i had had an issue years ago during COVID and they did extend my warranty 6 months. She then got condescending and told me I should have read the warranty which covers service and parts. i said there is no part because I cant get the item for over 1 month. She then said she reordered it and if it comes in within the next 14 days I will get the part and if not to call back. I told her I already cant use my brand new dishwasher for over 1 month and what else will they do for me, she said they are doing what they are supposed to.

I will never buy kitchenaid again. Every sales person says this is the best dishwasher but all i have ever had with it is problems and now their customer service is horrible. She was equally annoyed that i did not use their prescribed repair place. I told her the person I use is a certified kitchen aide warranty provider.

Terrible product and customer service

If I could give their customer service zero stars, I would. Bought a (very expensive) kettle from KitchenAid, it arrived faulty and unusable. They refuse to exchange at all, only option was a refund which they refuse to process until the faulty item is received back. I am post-surgery and so can't drop the kettle off at a DPD depot, so tried to arrange with KitchenAid for the courier to pick it up. First courier didn't show up and then lied about it on their update, so did the second. Have spent over 3 hours total on the phone with KitchenAid customer service who have been no help at all, they never follow up and if they do it is to say they can't help. I have been without a kettle for almost a month as a result of this and they still haven't refunded me despite the fact that it was their kettle that was faulty and it is not my fault their courier didn't pick up the return. Absolutely disgusted with the product and the service.

Appalling customer service

A part of the lid for our 7 cup food processor broke on first use. Partly our fault. But over a month later we have still not got any information about replacements. We sent photos on the online form but apparently these have got lost. I asked KA to have another look and gave very specific times but they have still not responded to this. Being an online form I no longer have a copy. The really annoying thing is that this a small issue, easily solved if only they would reply.

Never Is An Acceptable Time Frame In KitchenAid's World

I'm a designer who needed a Juniper swatch for a client. At $30k, you need to know you're making good decisions. Call back #1, Two hours later... Wrong department (after answering the prompts they offer to choose from). Transfer, 25 minutes on hold - no answer - I hung up. Call back from another try led to another transfer with an estimated wait time of 1h & 15m. How are we supposed to do our job if they can't do theirs? The third operator was so sweet, she deserves a raise even though she could do nothing to help me.

Refused refund despite not shipping my purchase

I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience ordering through KitchenAid NZ.

On 14/11/2025 I purchased a KSM70 mixer for $979. It was a great deal and included a free gift (oven mitts and a baker dish). I even chose a different colour (Porcelain) because the pink was out of stock at the time – no issue.

However, by 19/11/2025 my order still hadn’t shipped, so I emailed through their website. On 20/11/2025 I was told “your order is pending selection in the warehouse…”

By 24/11/2025 nothing had changed. When I followed up again, KitchenAid said they were waiting for the free gift to arrive before sending the mixer. I was advised the order was due to dispatch on 28/11/2025.

Today (28/11/2025, 15 days since order), still no shipping confirmation, so I called and spoke with Ricky. He confirmed they were still waiting for the gift and that it should ship next working day — which is now three more days away as today is Friday.

Since the item was still in their warehouse, I asked if I could change the colour to pink because it had come back in stock. I was told no. I then asked to cancel the order so I could repurchase the pink mixer — also no. They said I have to wait for it to arrive, send it back, and then they will “consider” a refund.

The worst part? I don’t even care about the free gift. I would have happily received the mixer without it. Their terms say cancellations are allowed if the item hasn't arrived within 14 days, yet they refused. And the free gift promotion is still being advertised despite it clearly causing delays - with no notification to customers.

This has been a frustrating, inflexible, and disappointing experience. I expected much better from a brand like KitchenAid

If I could give zero stars...
Our 3 month old range model KFG500ESS has smoked, smelled and run below temperature since we took delivery 3 months ago. Three times a service person has been out. Last one said they recalibrated the oven. Still had to set at 375° to barely reach 350° to cook our turkey on Thanksgiving. More smoke than ever! Filled our whole house. Extremely poor sales service and performance. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. This us a known issue!!

The worst appliances of all time

The worst appliances of all time. Our oven and microwave, both which have cost thousands of dollars, and under 7 years old don't work. Our microwave, refuses to close, Our control board on our oven won't work. We have been waiting TWO MONTHS for their repair guy to fix it. Every time he comes, there's another part that he needs to buy. We are paying more than $1,500 on just the oven to get it fixed and wait TWO MONTHS and STILL waiting to have it fixed. Our microwave also requires us to have a SEPARATE person to come and take a look and spend money on it. A one year warranty is INSANE. This by far is the worst product I've ever experienced. How can you charge people thousands of dollars for appliances that break after a few years and then ask people to drop thousands more to have them fixed? I recommend ANY other appliance than Kitchenaid.

We purchased a Kitchenaid product, one of the highest quality ones as it is purchased for a professional kitchen. The product was never delivered to us and we have been waiting for a refund since AUGUST. The customer service is never helpful, every day I am calling them and every day it is the same thing without a solution. Worst experience ever.

disappointment from the very beginning

disappointment from the very beginning. The fridge was delivered in November 2024 and has been leaking water repeatedly, causing ice buildup under the unit and water spreading across the floor.

Because of this ongoing leak, my hardwood flooring and the cabinet panel next to the fridge have been damaged. Despite three technician visits and countless calls to customer service, the issue is still not resolved. One “Master Technician” came in August, said a part needed to be replaced, and then disappeared—no follow-up, no update, nothing. I had to keep calling, and each time I was told a new technician would come.

The most recent technician said he couldn't even diagnose the problem unless the entire fridge was emptied and left unplugged for 5–6 hours, which is extremely inconvenient and unreasonable, especially since I have a tenant living in the home. My tenant is now uncomfortable with strangers constantly entering the home, and I am at risk of losing my tenant because of this continuing problem.

Customer service keeps telling me, “You have a warranty,” but extending a warranty does not fix the fact that the fridge has never worked properly and is causing real property damage.

This has been going on for months, with no clear solution, no accountability, and no urgency from KitchenAid. I expected much better from a premium brand. Extremely disappointed.

Terrible product and even worse customer service

We moved into our house on 10/21/25 and the house is only 1 year old. We used the oven 2 times and then on 11/6/25 we received an error code that said the cooling fans were not working and to not use the oven. I called customer service and after waiting almost 2 hours to speak with someone, I was told that the oven had previous issues and even though we were slightly outside of the 1 year warranty, they would send someone out to fix it. The soonest someone could come fix it was 11/17/25, and when the tech looked at the oven, he said he needed to order parts. He came back on 11/21/25 and spent 2 hours "fixing" the oven. I tried to turn the oven on shortly after he left to cook dinner, and I received two error codes- one about the cooling fans and a new one that I had not seen before. So with it being Friday night, I had to wait until Monday 11/24/25 to call customer service again. I was told that they could send out another repair person on 12/1/25 to look at the oven again. At this point, I feel like they should replace the oven since it's had so many issues, but the lady on the phone said they don't do that. Thanksgiving is ruined, and I'm not sure what I'll be serving the 20 people coming to my house on Thursday. The KitchenAid and the Whirlpool websites make it impossible to find a person to escalate any issues to.
