A number of issues were encountered…
A number of issues were encountered with our new kitchen fitment, be sure to check and double check everything is according to your order and be wary of what can be covered up whilst you do not see it, my experience may have been an unlucky one, we had an electrical issue immediately after the fitter drilled into my ring main, I had to arrange an electrician pay for repairs and then the company deny any responsibility, we have lived here for 41 years with no electrical issues. I cleared the rubbish left under the units behind the plinths and noticed some of the support feet had not been wound down to touch the flooring, one was just wedged under the unit and another had been burnt during the pipework soldering, i also noticed that my wall behind the unit was damp, I traced a leak on the water main which had been bent to fit,I had to remove the casing for the extractor hood in order to paint the wall, the fitment of the trunking was very slapdash and was fouling the internal flap, i put it right by buying a reducer from Screwfix. We had 8 down lights on the plans and yet the fitter decided he would fit 6, I have been offered the other 2 for spares !!. i had a waste pipe leak in the under sink cupboard which ruined the cupboard, a new one was ordered and a fitting date agreed, when unboxed one of the panels was cracked, the fitter decided to use the other side so now i have an under sink cupboard with no peg holes in one side and the back panel is not secured as there was no rebate groove for the back panel to slot into.Admittedly I have held back £250 from the payment and are now being asked to substantiate that amount.The business owner and the fitter are both very pleasant people but I feel they lack the importance of customer satisfaction and how to compensate when it is clearly the companies fault.
