Stronger and Healthier with Gianmaria

I have been training in Knaap for the last 2 years, with the goal of loosing weight. So far I have lost 16kg and not gaining anything back. This year I got Gianmaria as my trainer. He helped me to lose those stubborn last kilos. He prepared a detailed training and food plan for me, accommodating to my needs and wants. He is super dynamic, and gets the best out of you. I can definitely say I am much stronger and healthier now. Grazie mille Gianmaria!

Great coaching for healthy lifestyle

With Daniel I was able to reach my weight loss and fitness goals fairly fast - without feeling hungry. His program focused on adopting sustainable habits to lose and retain a healthy weight and lifestyle. I feel way stronger and healthier in only 4 months and I can see the positive impact on my life. I strongly recommend to anyone who is interested in picking up regular exercises for a healthier lifestyle.

I got more than I expected

If you're looking for motivation, good results, and tips on how to balance life and fitness, this is the right place for you! It was a pleasure to work with Daniel. He is professional and dedicated, well educated and experienced. As a former athlete, I knew how to train and what nutrition should be, but my biggest problem was a lack of motivation. Through our meetings, we created strong motivation and shifted the focus from simply losing weight to a more active and healthy lifestyle, where there was room for fitness, walking, different activities and more joy in life. And as a result, I not only lost weight, but also gained energy, fell in love with long walks and built a system that I try to follow. Summarizing all of the above in two words - highly recommend.

Good experience at knaap

I have been really happy with my experience at Knaap with Nicoline. She helped me a lot getting better habits around food and hydration. She also helped me feeling confident with weight training. All this helped me to lose weight.

I had an awesome experience with Knaap

I had an awesome experience with Knaap. I was taken care by Nicoline, who was extremely accommodating to my rather complicated needs. She showed a lot of patience and made an effort to make sure I was eating the correct amount of calories, the right amount of protein and the right nutrients in order for me to reach my target, which she helped me determine.
I highly recommend Knaap and want to shout out to Nicoline who deserves kudos for putting up with such a complex case like mine.

Life changing experience :)

I can only recommend and talk in superlatives about Knaap. I started in February’22 with initial aim of getting more fit and maybe losing some weight. Very soon I stopped focusing on kilograms as much but started enjoying how my body was changing, shaping and becoming stronger. I also discovered how much I like weight trainings and I started embracing an idea that I could be going to gym myself. Which, until now, had always seem very intimidating as I had no idea what to do with all this crazy equipment…

My coach is Anders and he is extremely professional and dedicated. He shares enormous amount of knowledge regarding the trainings, always checks that I do the excersises correctly so I don’t harm myself and keeps on challenging me with adding kilos here and there. I can really see improvement from week to week. He has also helped me massively with my preparations for 4.18.4 triathlon, sharing tips and tricks and his own experiences on the matter.

All in all, whether you want to lose kilos, change your life habits, get stronger, learn how to use gym/equipment, improve your training skills or all of the above: Knaap is the place to go. :)

Hands Down - best coaching ever

I enrolled to the medium package and had 8 session. I had a session every second week.
Knaap coach Anders made my insecurity about my food intake shameful. Small adjustment to my diet made all the difference.
Coach Anders contributed to a meal plan that included having meals with my family.
Training sessions with Anders were fun and challenging.
It’s clear that Anders have in depth knowledge and best praxis of all that workouts I performed at the gym. I developed a stronger body and higher level of endurance. I basically perfected my form performing weightlifting body weight exercises.
I did not have a 100% motivation but where all on board after just a few sessions.
Standing on the advanced weighing machine assured me that I was going in the right direction.

Excellent trainer with great knowledge and advice to help you reach your goals

I reached out to Daniel initially at the beginning of 2020, having been through years of false starts and limited progress in terms of improving my health, fitness and body shape. I'd already been to other personal trainers before and not had the best experience, so I was a little wary of trying again. However, I figured I needed some professional help to make sure I understood exactly how I could reach my goals in a safe and sustainable way.

After a long chat about my personal health, daily routines, exercise and nutrition, we agreed on a plan to a) recover from some lingering injuries which I suspected could be physiological b) ensure I was eating the right foods (including managing issues with certain food groups) and c) moving towards a reduction of body fat and increase in fitness. As someone who works from home at a desk most days, this was going to be a big change again, but I felt ready to try to help take control under his guidance.

Daniel demonstrated real insight and understanding of my particular challenges with certain food groups (like being unable to eat bread, pasta, rice and other grains easily) and he also helped me understand some of the good and bad decisions I'd been making before, based on my own limited understanding of the human body and what it needs. He also had a lot of feedback and information about what the purpose of and impact of eating certain foods and performing certain exercises has on the body - in other words, my ideas of what was 'healthy' and what types of exercise would have the best impact were not very accurate!

Over the course of this year, I have found myself improving my health considerably. My weight at one point was up to 108Kg, but I had 'dieted' down to around 102-105Kg by the time Daniel got involved. I'm now around 92Kg (August 2020) with a goal weight of around 85Kg which now feels very achievable over the next few months. In that time I lost about 10Kg of body fat and I gained 1Kg of muscle, roughly. Certainly, it's not been plain sailing, but it does take time to understand your body and make the adjustments required to keep progress and discipline.

I have made various changes to my food intake (when I eat, and what I eat), my exercise regime (cardio and weight training) and my mentality around food, which was something I didn't really think about before.

The good news is that Daniel helped me feel like I now have control over what goals I can achieve, and as long as I keep disciplined, eat properly and keep up my training, I am in no doubt that I will reach those goals. Daniel has done a great job managing me as a slightly difficult client, and I am seeing all the typical changes you hope to see when you start such a journey. I recently had to donate a huge bag full of clothes that don't fit me any more, and I typically wear M size shirts/t-shirt instead of L/XL.

My journey is not over yet, but for the first time in 10 years I think that it is within my grasp. I can wholeheartedly recommend Daniel - my only advice is to be honest, give him all the information he needs to help educate you and help you make the right decisions so that you can meet your health and fitness goals too.
