Our experience of the Customer Service at Kong Adventure 'Escape Room' & 'Cafe' was Amazing! 🤗❤️💯. From the moment we entered the building through to ordering & enjoying our delicious lunch in their cafe 😃... Especially Mike's Bespoke Sausage Rolls! 😋❤️. If you haven't visited the Cafe yet... you will Not be disappointed. We will most certainly be visiting again when we are next in Keswick 👌🏽✨😋❤️🙏🏽.

Rude staff. Keswick struggles with staff issue during summer holidays so quality goes bad in summer months. If anyone compares review against ridgeway climbing wall in Marple or Conwy climbing wall, differences in reviews are quite visible. Also defensiveness of staff in review in kong vs other places in the country is also visible. The staff treated me rudely and refused climbing based on false safety pretence. An experienced staff could have handled situation entirely diffrently. Staff made me very nervous and determined to prove me wrong. I then went to keswick climbing wall which is situated opposite castle rigg stone circle and explained the incident at kong so I requested them to not help me but be super critical on my skills and find every fault they can. This can be verified by asking Emily at keswick climbing wall (opposite castlerig stone circle). She confirmed that she could give me 10 out of 10 and there was absolutely nothing wrong in what I was doing. Then we enjoyed 1 hour of climbing too. I must say though that this is not reflective of all staff at kong. In the past I was served by main manager (south African skilled man) to get me some decent fell running shoes and I was super pleased. But from today's incidence, I must give zero star. I think safety focus after recent death on tunnel has gone quite high but in wrong direction. I won't be surprised if there is defensive answer below. If you want your child to learn climbing and get confidence, absolutely be careful, who you go with as some people can completely destroy your confidence as they feed on putting others down instead of encouraging.

Brilliant service. Ordered an item Sunday, despatched Monday, arrived Wednesday. Well done.

Great selection of trail and fell shoes. Called in yesterday. Staff member (male with an accent , maybe african?) who served me was very helpful and knowledgeable about the different brands and models and allowed me to try on lots of different pairs after discussion my requirements. Slightly more expensive than online , however with the knowledge and care of the staff member, felt this was well worth the value.

Can’t comment on store but activities were great (upstairs). We booked the Ghyll scrambling with them. They were great, very helpful with booking and info and were patient with us in all preparation. Even better was the activity, John the instructor was excellent and we had a great time.

Terrible attitude from staff member at Keswick, asked to remove dog from shoe section, but could leave her at the front, when we said that we wouldn't leave her at the front he asked us to leave, abuse and swearing was heard when leaving the shop.

Well and truly arrogant staff. Having tried to get an exchange having purchase shoes online. He said they are not fit for re sale as they are wet. The sizing was incorrect. He even refused to give me his name, even better. What a company.

Please do not buy from these rude staff that asked me to leave because he can’t listen to your opinions.

Not even one star. Never again. Will be contacting Merrel.

Second time I've been in this year to try to get some running shoes. Got 'served' by the same person, unfortunately, and pissed me off to the point of my walking out both times. Went the second time, after a couple of months interval, in case it was something I'd done wrong that had caused the disappointing experience the first time.

Just dire. Basically said he couldn't spend much time with me because it was busy, then started giving me information and said he couldn't tell me more because he had to see other customers, then measured my feet and came up with a size I've not worn since I was about 14 years old (I'm 55) and finally looked askance when I suggested that choosing the wrong shoes for running could result in injury - a pretty uncontroversial statement!

If you're considering going there - they do have a good selection of shoes and clothing - I strongly recommend that you also take the trouble to compare the service with Needle Sports around the corner....chalk and cheese!

Booked online the climbing wall with instructor for an hour for my 2 teenagers at £25 each. Despite booking for the teenage slot, they were put into a group with 3 young kids aged 5-7. The climbing walls are only 20ft high so the climbs were over very soon. In fact I timed their climbing time: total 5 mins 30 secs out of an hour. We've been to many climbing walls over the years, this was by far the worst experience and we won't be coming here again.

Spent a long weekend near Ullswater with my three kids and on the Sunday had a great day out with Kong Adventure. Steve our vastly experienced instructor took us for both sessions - rock climbing in the morning and river Ghyll scrambling in the afternoon. Steve was absolutely first class and the whole family thoroughly enjoyed the activities.

Tuff bag is wicked and waterproof! Took it down to the beach and my towels and tech stayed safe inside whilst the tide came in! I originally ordered a red 1 but they emailed straight away to say they were outta stock but they had the grey/silver 1 instead, which, i had no qualms about. When the rucksack arrived, they even chucked in 2 fudge sticks to compensate for their error! How luffly of them!!! 🥰

Great knowledge and very helpful. Outstanding customer service and speedy delivery. Always choose to support great shops like this, who do great work in the community.

Ordered some shoes online and paid £3.99 (instead of the free alternative) for next day delivery on a friday. I received the sales invoice on the sunday and a email from dpd to say it would be delivered on Tuesday. Hardly next day and I had to delay dpd for a whole week due to being away (a trip I wanted the shoes for). Not geared up for next day delivery that is for sure. Disappointing ecommerce experience.

The staff here know what they are selling and what they are doing. They don't try and convince you to buy the most expensive item.

The staff don't hassle you either, they ask if you need any help and then let you get on with browsing.

I just wish I had the money to buy all the kit I liked.

1st class customer service!

I made a purchase from Kong of an OMM vest that turned out to have a minor fault after a few days use. Kong replied to my initial email immediately and kept my up to date throughout the process. They obtained a replacement from the manufacturer as they did not have one in stock.
Extremely helpful in every way and I will definitely be buying from them again.
