I am extremely satisfied with the customer service and after sales support that I received. Our Bifold had an issue that was handled by Richie and Owen extremely well. The customer service team on phone were very kind as well. On first visit , problem was identified and was fixed on second visit.
I really appreciate Richie and Owen's efforts to make things right for us !!

My experience with Korniche's customer services has been excellent. Customer Service Advisor, Laura Burn, was courteous, helpful, and very prompt with communications. Laura was extremely effective in sorting and progressing delivery of a replacement item, which was made and delivered within three days. A fantastic service!

Outstanding Customer Service from Korniche/Made For Trade!
I had a fantastic experience with Korniche's customer service, specifically with Laura Burn. My bifold door hinge failed, and despite being a homeowner (not a tradesman, which is their usual direct contact), Laura went above and beyond to help me.
Initially, I was having trouble getting a response from my fitter, which left me with a non-functional door. Laura quickly stepped in, guiding me through the process of identifying my doors by providing a QR barcode sticker image. She managed to trace the sale and swiftly arranged for replacement parts to be sent directly to me, including both the top and bottom roller hinges.
Her responses were always prompt, clear, and incredibly helpful. She provided an estimated delivery time and attached a hinge guide to help with the replacement of the hinges.
It's truly rare to encounter such dedicated and efficient customer support. Laura's willingness to assist, despite the initial "trade-to-trade" policy, turned a potentially stressful situation into a smooth and positive resolution. I highly recommend Korniche/Made For Trade based on this excellent service!

Yesterday I had the service team on site to carry out a handle repair. Richie and Owen were excellent from start to finish Nothing was a bother for them and they even returned to correct an install issue free of charge. I am delighted with my cortiso 4.5m 3 pane product and would certainly recommend MFT. Much Appreciated Nige

You seriously want to avoid Korniche skylights. The quality is just dreadful. Their manufacturing process is a complete joke – you'd honestly be better off with something cheap from China or even just plain plastic.
I bought my Korniche skylight system from GFD Homes, and right from the start, it was a nightmare. When I went to assemble it, the holes for the bolts to fasten the rafters were barely there. Like, no actual hole to put a bolt through! It took **two and a half weeks** of me going back and forth, sending tons of pictures and videos, before Korniche finally agreed to remake the faulty rafters and send them.
Then, after waiting nearly another two and a half weeks, I started putting it together again. And what do you know? When it came time to put the final clips on top, the plastic was so badly made that you literally couldn't clip them in. And it was just the main rafter that had this problem. It's obvious they don't have any kind of quality control when they make these things, or I just got the one made by someone who was totally out of it or on their very first day. It's absolutely shocking quality for a brand that brags about being high-quality British-built glazing. It's just appalling.
** UPDATE** 3/06/2025. ive been contacted by GFD Homes (who i purchased the skylights from) on behalf of Korniche asking me if i can change my opinion/review (which i have on voicemail) which is frankly disgraceful. why would a company try asking a customer to change their review under any circumstances???? I'm only interested in reimbursement for the cost of having installers come to fit the windows when they were faulty in the first place, i was out of pocket £350 for that.

Following my builder’s recommendation and research of my own, I specified Korniche bi-fold doors and a lantern roof-light for my new-build orangery. The Korniche website was good and the local distributor’s samples appeared well designed and manufactured (I’m a retired Chartered Engineer so know what I am looking for). It was very pleasing to be able to ‘Buy British’ for a change.
By contrast, the product delivered was very disappointing: Things started badly when the 2 – 3 week delivery schedule turned into 6 weeks. On the day of delivery to site it was discovered that no glass had been ordered (what kind of window company makes that error?!). This meant the frames had to be installed a week before being glazed hence added costs for my builder (and me) for a second visit by his window fitter.
After installation, I then discovered that the lock on the single bi-fold door would not turn. Investigation by the fitter revealed that the lock barrel had been drilled through by one of the frame securing screw holes and the screw left loose as it could not be screwed fully home. He was astonished. How did that defect pass Korniche quality control? In addition, no door stay was supplied and it was pure luck the wind did not slam the door against adjacent masonry.
The lantern roof-light should have been the jewel in the crown but the assembly supplied had four additional frame sections which completely ruin the clean lines shown on the website and in the distributor’s samples. The lantern was well below the maximum size allowed and now looks way over-designed. To add insult to injury, the cover plates for the securing screw troughs had been cut to completely the wrong sizes – in fact I’m pretty sure offcuts had been supplied. Of course, it will almost certainly be assumed that an end-customer would never notice these items unless spring cleaning up a ladder. In fact the angled glass of the lantern reflects a clear view of the sub-standard parts beneath whenever one looks through the lantern! Fortunately, the fitter was able to source some matching uPVC sections which he jointed skillfully and now look perfect – but it should not have been necessary. Worse still, Korniche flatly denied there was a problem.
I acknowledge that my builder, the local distributor and Korniche are all implicated and no doubt will all be blaming each other. However, the quality control issues can be laid at no one’s but Korniche’s own door.

The roof lantern does not pass building control.
I ordered the best possible lantern for my extension, premium Aqua 1.0 u-value version. The building control officer requested to have the proof for the building reg part Q compliance for security which is adopted in 2015. The shop Modern UPVC windows suggested it does not have any proof for its compliance and I contacted Korniche team saying it does not have any proof or any British Standards certificates either. It is totally unacceptable for an 'award-winning' product which does not comply with building reg!! It should not be selling at all! it is a big fat lie in the website. I cannot see any light in the tunnel. It is expensive and premium but not British Standards. What a joke!

Regrettably I have a Korniche roof lantern, and since installation (about 3 years) from the first winter I have been convinced that the lantern is draughty.
This year as we’ve just had some very cold and stormy weather I decided to use a smoke test to establish if my suspicions were founded.
Sadly I was correct, the lantern leaks cold air at each corner and I’ve tried unsuccessfully to get any specialist installer to take a look and find a repair solution.
There is no direct link back to Korniche only the original installer which was through the main contractor which is now out of the defects period.
My experience has been so terrible from the start and I still have no way of getting this fixed so I would very strongly suggest that you think twice before ordering a Korniche roof lantern and get a Velux instead.

Thank you for your reply. I have already reached out to Made-For-Trade and tried again this morning but it appears they need a job CTR or QTE (quote number) to proceed which I don’t have.
I just want to pay someone who knows what they are doing to fix the lanterns so it doesn’t leak cold air into my home without squirting mastic into every joint.

I had a very reassuring call from the customer services team today who were very helpful and knowledgeable about the issues I am experiencing with the roof lantern being draughty. It appears from the photos I shared with them that it’s the installation which is the issue, and not the Korniche lantern itself.
There’s still a way to go before the issue of draughts is resolved. I’ll keep this thread open until we have this resolved.

We had to have our 3 year old leaky Korniche roof lantern removed and disposed of because of the poor and potentially dangerous installation. We had the new lantern installed yesterday (so we have paid twice) and are hopeful that these fitters are better than the last. Where Korniche need to step up is to have approved Korniche trained installers to give customers like me some confidence, rather than saying their product is good and it’s the responsibility of the customer to check that the workmanship is up to scratch. How on earth would I or any other customer know?
I’ll keep you all informed next winter if the drafts come back.

Excellent bi-fold doors and lantern from Korniche. We were really pleased with our choice from day one.
There was a small issue with the door handle. While it locked as it should, the handle was loose moving slightly side to side making it more diffucult to look, and when the handle screws were tightened, the handle became too stiff. Our builder arranged for Korniche to visit.
What can I say except Korniche’s response was nothing but perfectly professional. Owen & Richie arrived when promised, and worked hard to understand the problem and resolve it, which they did.
Not only that, while here they checked all the mechanisms and measurements and even touched up some of the paint damaged by me due to leaving keys in the escape door,
Would definitely recommemd Korniche for the quality on their product and their after after sales care service.

Ritchie and Owen came to investigate a draft I had on my Tri-fold doors. They could not have done more. Came Friday to check them and were back 4 days later to replace the traffic door, removed all glass and replaced all door seals. Along with other jobs to ensure a perfect fit. Well done.
