Everything is fine until you move out and want to cancel the internet.
After sending the cancellation request with a document from the gemeente and returning the equipment before I moved out, they asked for ANOTHER document (which has to be sent to you abroad on paper). After finally telling them I am not doing that, they are not replying to any e-mails and of course, keep sending new bills. It has been a month and a week now.
All the service is supposed to be by phone, which is an absolute joke in 2025, especially for a telecommunications company.
This is starting to look like a deliberate attempt to drag out the subscription and basically get "free money" and I am at the brink of contacting customer protection organizations about this.
Probably THE worst network and phone company. I was using the mobile esim package for unlimited data and 50gb abroad (within europe), however whenever I would travel outside of the Netherlands, such as to Belgium, I would have absolutely no data. I was paying so much money for nothing as I did not receive what I was paying for. I tried to get in contact with KPN employees, but no response. THEN when emigrating from the Netherlands, I provided them with 1 months notice, and requested to cancel my contract by 1st of July. I received an automated response stating that my request would be processed and I would receive confirmation within 5 working days. this day has long passed and I still have heard no response. I have tried getting in touch and contacting them but no response every time. Completely useless and unprofessional. Due to the fact that my cancellation request was not processed, I have received an invoice for this month that was supposed to be cancelled. Not only this, but when leaving the Netherlands I had a layover in Turkey. I had turned off my data roaming and connected to the airport wifi. DESPITE all of this, I received 2 messages within a minute of each other stating that I had used 80% of my limit, then 100% - resulting in a charge of 60.5 euros. Now because of this the invoice is nearly 100 euros!!?? I managed to get in contact with an employee through Facebook and they told me that it was because my phonemay have connected to a satellite, resulting in the extra charge with roaming off. This is extremely unacceptable, as I am still expected to pay this. Horrible customer service, never responds to anything, and tries to get as much money as possible. Do not recommend this company to anyone unless you enjoy being scammed and left in the dirt.
I have been user of Internet services for about 7 years with KPN, (XS4all).
Technically, they are OK, the service runs reliable both TV and Internet (DSL, later glass).
I was not so happy with:
- their customer service is not so good; long waiting times, badly informed, the app is terribly over-commercialized.
- communications in app and other: way too much advertizing, app is badly organised.
- costs: I do not use KPN modem, kpn mail, antivirus, cloud storage and prefer a provider that does not charge me for these things.
- The KPN invoicing and communication system for e.g. Changes, is outdated. You have to wait on a pending change, before changing something else, Invoicing does not know if you have cancelled subscription, so will always invoice you another month. Sometimes a change is visible, often it is not.
I’ve left them in favour of another provider, to see if the grass is greener there.
If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. It's been two weeks without internet, and KPN's customer service is the worst I have ever experienced. They are rude, unhelpful, and offer zero solutions. Instead of fixing anything, they just pass the blame and try to end the call as quickly as possible. One time, they even lied to me, saying a technician would come in a week — only to find out they already knew it would take at least three weeks. They literally misled me just to get me off the phone. We were switching from Odido, and KPN messed up the entire process, then blamed Odido. Odido later sent us proof that KPN had confirmed the switch, so the mistake is 100% on KPN. And yet, KPN still refuses to solve it any faster than three weeks from now. I only chose KPN because of a PlayStation promo, but honestly — I'd rather buy the PlayStation at full price than deal with this level of service. Avoid KPN at all costs. The internet doesn't work, their support is useless, and they lie to customers. I deeply regret switching to them.
These clowns are forcing me to send some plastic junk (aka modem) back from abroad but unable to provide an address served by any other entity than Dutch post. There are no humans to talk to on KPN side, just bots.
Ziggo told me to dump the plastic junk while KPN is making my life a horror at this point. AVOID AT ANY COST
I had difficulty finding my connection box when moving houses, so I used the KPN Dot chatbot in the app which connected me with customer service within 1 minute. Had an absolutely delightful conversation with Robin, whose wit and charm kept me entertained throughout the process. While we didn’t end up finding the connection box, he set me up with the first available appointment - the very next working day! Thanks so much Robin, you made my entire week (and weekend!)
This is honestly the festival of incompetence. I've been without internet for over a month, and the issue still hasn’t been resolved. The service is from Odido, but the network is managed by KPN, and the two companies keep blaming each other like children. It’s beyond frustrating.
In total, six technicians have come — three from one company and three from the other — and yet nothing has been fixed. How is it possible that after more than a month, I’m still without internet in 2025? It’s absolutely pathetic.
Odido sells the service, KPN owns the infrastructure, and neither of them takes real responsibility. They bounce me back and forth while I’m stuck with zero internet and no solution in sight.
Shameful. Unreliable, disorganized, and completely unprofessional from both sides.
Very bad service, I bought prepaid simcard, to port number from odido, but in the shop said I can port via klantenservice, when I called klantenservice, they said must go to their shop..hallo wake up, whats wrong to your company? Work same company, why not give same information?
Finaly I cant port number, then I cant bring back cuz I cant port number from odido, why I need to keep it, shop in WestFieldMaal dont accept return, what a bad in bad, you also not give correct information, not give free simcard, dont say its just 5 euro, but you give me for free simcard as from VODAFONE?!?

KPN is hands down one of the most dishonest and irresponsible telecom providers I’ve dealt with.
I was switching from Odido to KPN, with my new KPN contract supposed to start on 15 July. Without warning, KPN requested my line be transferred early on 30 June, which caused Odido to cut my internet.
When I called KPN, they denied everything. “We didn’t do anything,” they said. Really? Because Odido confirmed it was your request that released the line. Now I have no internet for over two weeks, and KPN refuses to help, activate early, or even acknowledge fault.
This isn’t just bad service; it’s a scam.
You break the connection early, offer zero solutions, and act like it’s not your problem.
No early activation, no temporary 4G modem, no ownership of the issue.
Totally unacceptable. KPN should not be allowed to treat customers this way and get away with it.
how long can you let people be without internet? Whole day yesterday it was out and it’s continuing today - no internet at all. People need to work and they pay for it, then fix it and do it now, it’s not normal
Would actually give them 0. I moved houses and arranged up front with them. Almost two months in and many many phone calls no resolution for connection. Every time I call I have to explain from scratch, they tell me they will call within three days to make an appointment with technician and they never do. Just started process of trying to cancel and fear it may be just as difficult.
Harrassing me everyday by ringing my doorbell. Creepy. If I ever want to switch to a different company, KPN is not the one I will be even considering
It is 3 months that they want to connect my fiber optic internet. After so long time rather than 1 Gbps it is between 70 to 400 Mbps variable. Poor customer service and ibternet quality!
The worst company I have ever seen !!!! Had to call 3 TIMES and go to the store 2 TIMES to cancel a membership. Most incompetent people ever. Everytime they confirm the cancellation and when you call again later they say 'no it's not cancelled'. Please train your employees so they actually know how to do their job.
Just pay more and choose Ziggo, ridiculously bad customer service.

Monthly payment is around 35e, I made monthly contract in March (March + April = 2 months), they charged me 191e already!!!
I have had problems with KPN for 2.5 years now. It started when I wanted to get a phone subscription, and they accidentally signed me up for two phone numbers. I had to pay the subscription cost for two phone numbers for 6 months. After that, KPN wanted to install fiber in my house. It took them 1.5 years so come back to my house to install it, only to then realize that they couldn’t install it in my house. They told me that everything would be cancelled. I ended up still paying for KPN thuis for 9 months, despite never having fiber. They scammed me out of 400 euro. I have been calling them weekly for almost a year now, and I have only managed to get 150 euro back. This is truly the worst mobile/wifi company in the NL. Go with ziggo instead, I have never had any problems with them.
Internet is down at random times for how ever long kpn wants it to be, their customer service is also absolute dog water! stay away!
I canceled my contract in December 2024, and although they confirmed the cancellation, they continued to bill me. Customer service was unhelpful and made the situation worse. This level of service and poor communication is completely unacceptable. I do not recommend KPN!
