Could be a better all round hotel
Hotel is in a great location - easy to get to airport and town. Staff are really nice and friendly and did their best to accommodate my needs
The hotel itself is huge and very impressive on first viewing / the sea is a stone throw away and is a picture perfect scene
I didn’t realise they had so many different room options from swim up deluxe rooms to those wIth their own private pool
I stayed in one of their standard rooms and to be honest it was very basic - uncomfortable cheap pillows flimsy bedsheet and really rough old looking towels. The room had a musky smell and although it was relatively clean the the whole place needs updating the bathroom especially shower made me feel uncomfortable and did not want to use it ( which I’m told is happening next year)
It was unexpectedly cold the time I was there so on the first night I asked for extra blankets and we’re given ( they were not the best looking ones, but done the job) the following night I moved rooms as I felt too isolated in one of the annexes they put me in, again it was cold so asked again for blankets, however after 3 hours of waiting I went to bed in my coat. I asked what the problem was and they said as everyone is cold they ran out
A simple solution to this would be to have heating in the rooms! Never have I stayed in a hotel where you can only have cold air blown in the room!! This really infuriated me as I did not pay good money to freeze and sleep in a coat!
The water too was a problem as it was luke warm and unbearable to shower in considering how cold the rooms were
I said to the team that I know they can’t control the weather the the room temperatures they can and heating should be standard. They were very apologetic so I can’t fault them there
The food in the restaurant to me was not of good standard, yes there was plenty of it but for me it was cold and flavourless and not the best representation of Greek Cuisine- I had the most wonderful food when I was out and about
The bar they have is not well managed, they have the most ridiculous system where you have to take a seat and wait for a young boy who is already rushed off his feet with orders to take yours! Don’t go there if you’re thirsty as you’ll die of thirst. Several times I had to keep reminding them I’m waiting to be served.
Overall a ok hotel, my days were just spoilt by the cold
