As a volunteer for a UK-based charity I was looking for someone that might offer free hosting for a new website we needed to launch and up popped Kualo in my search. I made some enquiries where they asked me some details about the charity and I was afforded free server space and a CPanel setup into which I loaded WordPress although they support other CMS like Drupal. Free SSL also provided (why don't all hosting providers offer this?) and all they asked for in return was to put a small Kualo link on the footer and to transfer the domain name to them.
The service experience has been great with any problems responded to very promptly. I have received a few email prompts about potential issues they have detected in plugins which allowed me to correct them before other issues occurred.
Would I pay for their hosting if I was looking for something other than a charity platform? Yes absolutely they stack up very well against other hosting companies and will be my first port of call for the future.
The name Kualo sounds reminiscent of an exotic location but they are a UK/US based company and power their hosting locations with green energy so another tick in the box.
