Absolutely horrific

Absolutely horrific. I haven't been able to get my agent on the phone since my initial sign up. He was very active with emailing me when trying to cross sell an overpriced life insurance policy. Ever since, I cannot get an email response for anything related to my policy. The lady who answers the phone when I call the office always sounds clueless. Apparently Farm bureau is so stupid and gate kept that they don't even give her access to basic policy information like if a policy is still active. My agent has an assistant who is definitely more helpful then him. I can never reach her in a direct call either, but she will callback and/or email. The system itself is stupid because it would save the agency time and save us members time, if we could simply make minor changes ourselves online. I was told that I would get a refund from my prior policy as either a check or a credit towards the next month's payment. Never being able to reach anyone about the matter, and having related emails ignored, I didn't make my payment 1.5 weeks ago and now I'm not even able to find out if my policy is still active. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY with Farm Bureau. IF you do, definitely AVOID Sean Hartgrove, as he only cares about that initial sale. I would give negative 1 star if I could.

Membership is non-refundable

Applied for health insurance and was required to pay membership dues to be considered. Received a denial due to height and weight. Reached out to get a refund on the membership dues since I won't be a member after all, and they are non-refundable.
Also, know that they do not cover pre-existing conditions of any kind and does not mention any length of time gone by that it might be considered (some companies will say if you've not had signs or symptoms for 12 months, then you will be considered for coverage - Farm Bureau does not allow any)

Extremely Disappointed: Unprofessional and Unreliable Service

I purchased insurance through a local Farm Bureau agent last year, including paying for a membership that was supposed to come with several benefits. Throughout the year, I repeatedly asked for access to those benefits and followed up with the agent multiple times for other requests. The responses were excessively slow, and despite all the outreach, I never received any of the promised benefits.

Due to their lack of professionalism and failure to deliver on their commitments, I asked this year if they would at least cover the membership fee. Their response? A big “screw you” – they abruptly dropped our insurance policy without warning.

This left us uninsured and forced us to shut down our business until we could secure coverage with another company. Their actions were not only unprofessional but also harmful to our livelihood. I would strongly caution anyone considering Farm Bureau Insurance to look elsewhere. They do not stand by their word, and their customer service is severely lacking.

Good old Colorado farm bureau no longer good

over last 10+_ years 3 agents that i had my policies with quit farm bureau. I have called The centennial office 5 times asking to speak with a customer service manager as well as the corporate office. promised 3 times a ph manager would call back in 24 hrs. I have caller id , voice mail. No calls. the new assigned agent was unable to figure out how to take my payment as she was too busy . I had to figure out how to keep myself covered.  IF you can't find a honest agent who likes FB go elsewhere Our family ranch had been with FB 60 yrs wow- managers and officers unreachable even thou we have paid a membership fee for decades
