I purchased four emerald-coloured…

I purchased four emerald-coloured blackout curtains last year in May 2024 at Foir'fouille in Bergerac. By September 2024, they were completely faded.

Yesterday, 4 July 2025, I went to buy four more ivory-coloured blackout curtains.

This morning, 5 July 2025, when I unpacked them, I was surprised to find that two eyelets were damaged and that there were imperfections on all four curtains.

I called the store and one of the sales assistants said to me: "Madam, you can come and exchange them in the store. Would you like me to reserve them for you? ‘I replied, ’Yes, if possible, four curtains please. Thank you."

When I arrived at the store, I spoke to a young man at the cash register, then to the manager, who told me that she could not take back the four curtains because the packaging boxes were damaged.

Unfortunately, I knew I should have paid more attention to the packaging boxes, because two of the four curtains were damaged.

She said, ‘Madam, I can only take two curtains.’ I replied, "I understand, I should have been more careful, but I didn't know the curtains were damaged.

The eyelets and imperfections in the fabric are visible. "I'D RATHER BUY FOUR OTHER CURTAINS, MORE EXPENSIVE ONES, MADAM. IS IT POSSIBLE TO RETURN THESE SO I CAN CHOOSE OTHER, MORE EXPENSIVE ONES? THE ANSWER IS “NO, MADAM”.

She replied, "Madam, you can sell them on websites, because I sell them myself.

She said, ‘As for the imperfections in the fabric, rub them with your fingers and they will disappear,’ then she turned her back on me. WHICH MEANS I DON'T CARE.

THE SUPEVISOR OF YOUR STORE IN BERGERAC IS NOT FRIENDLY, SHE IS A BITTER AND UNPLEASANT PERSON.

I spoke to another ‘young sales assistant at the checkout’ who was much friendlier. I told her, "If I had known, I would have unpacked the four curtains from your store before going home.

WHAT IS THE POINT OF A LOYALTY CARD.

I SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT MY CURTAINS IN ANOTHER STORE.
