There were busted light fixtures , stains on the sofa, the internet was out for 2 of the 4 days and the toilet flush was not working properly. There also were no instructions on how to use any of the appliances, which are not the same as what is in the US.
The location is awesome but the property leaves much to be desired.

We rented the Bellavista Grande apartment in Menaggio by Lake Como.
I can not recommend this appartment, nor Lake Como Holiday - really poor service.

It was possible to pay directly to Lake Como Holiday through the link they sent, so we made a bank transfer to them. But the money is also withdrawn via booking.com and this resulted in us paying for the apartment twice. And here 23 working days later, we have just gotten our money back.

The appartment looks worn out and the pictures do not correspond to reality at all.
It was very dirty and there were many things that did not work.

WIFI did not work the whole week we stayed there - despite 2 inquiries to the office they did not solve the problem. Didn't seem like they took it very seriously. Said to send someone but nobody came.

Dishwasher lacked salt and rinse. You shouldn't have to go out and buy something like that yourself.
We couldn't get the entertainment center to work and the remote control lacked batteries. This must also be okay if it is stated in the description of the apartment.

It would be nice to have access to a broom and dustpan.

There were only 3 bathrooms - not 4 as described. There is mold in one bathroom. Only 1 bathroom has the possibility of ventilation.

There is not enough power plugs in the apartment that fits the devices. Many of the devices only fit into the power strip that was installed inside the living room.

Seems like it's the local elderly who have apartments in the area. When we were swimming in the pool one day (we were standing quietly 2 adults and 4 big children aged 13 and 16) at one end an elderly lady came and had to swim lanes and asked us to move. It is not right when we have rented the apartment and just as much right to the pool. Very uncomfortable.

The view was fantastic.
The pool area was nice and well maintained.
Nicely close to the harbor promenade and restaurants and small shops.
You get swimming caps at the office when you pick up the key (and they must be worn in the pool).
1 parking space (in a closed garage) belongs to the apartment. Cars in addition to that must park in a small parking space close to the apartment.

We booked appartment in Varenna. Came to an appartment which were not clean and waited 3 hours before the cleaning team were done. We finally had the appartment but the appartment were not all clean after 3 hours waiting.
Also the couch was dirty and not a place any of us liked to sit!
Free Wi-Fi was offered when booking but it didn’t work in the appartment and it worked only poorly in the garden.
After many time’s trying to contact and get in dialog with Lake Como Holiday, we have had no response.
We will for sure not book with Lake Como Holiday again and can NOT recommend booking through this company.
