Google keeps flagging my review, so here:
Since Google keeps taking down my Reviews of Lake Jackson Property Management, I will be posting it here so future, vigilant tenants can avoid renting from those people:
The house I have been renting from them for a little over a year now in Danbury, has had nonstop maintenance issues. Most of which, I've had to submit more than one maintenance request for them to take seriously, and even then, most of the "repairs" they've made, do not get to the root of the issue - they just slap band-aids over them. For example, this house has had a rampant tree roach and rodent issue that has spanned across at least 3 years from 3 different tenants (myself included). And there's a leaky pipe in the 1st Floor Bathroom, which has been causing a rampant mold issue in there.
Another thing, is the mold issue that is prevalent. Now to be fair, most of the mold in the house is not entirely their fault, as the type of house I am renting from them? These houses were not built with central A/C in mind and the foundation type does not allow enough air to circulate underneath the house. Regardless, it's mold. It's bad to breathe in all the time.
They also have failed to fix Hurricane Beryl damage, which is pushing a whole year ago: shingles blown off from the roof and several holes that have punctured through the siding.
When paying rent, they do not allow you to pay in cash/check. You HAVE to use their online tool, which charges you a "9.99$" service fee. EXTREMELY scummy. Because what do you mean I have to pay you, TO pay you?
One last gripe, is that they have raised the rent by 55$ on me despite me being the ONLY tenant in the last several years to my knowledge, that has actually stuck around for the entire Lease and always paying rent on time. Raising the rent when y'all haven't gotten to the root cause of the mold in the bathroom for over a year, and not fully repairing Hurricane Beryl damage, is crazy work. Tenant loyalty means nothing to these people.
Once my current Lease with them runs out, I will be moving out. Do yourselves a favor and do NOT rent from them. Let them go bankrupt as they deserve.
The only two good things I can say about them, is that communication has always been respectful, concise, and quick, and the same goes for the repairmen they've sent my way.
