Ordered a custom engraved ARC for my husband for Christmas. I figured it would come after Christmas since their website stated custom orders take longer to process. Ordered Dec. 12 and it came today Dec. 19. I'm very happy with the engraving and speedy delivery!

Theives!

I ordered 4 identical items from leatherman.com and was sent 1, with the packing slip showing 4 items were shipped.

Contacted customer service who could only send a message to have the items replaced in "weeks", or provide a shipping label for a refund. Shipping label never came.

Did an order again. Leatherman! I'm European, love your knives. What is happening with your German contact. Way out of pleasant business with them

High Quality Multi Tools

I purchased the P4 Freeman Multi tool and some folding knives and I love them so much that I purchased P4 Feemans for all the men in my family as Christmas Presents.

Magnificent job.
Sent the Leatherman Wave across the Atlantic from UK to Portland Oregon. And it all went like clockwork, repaired good as new.

Don't buy outside of the US. Terrible Customer Service.

Leatherman's Bit Driver Extender has been faulty for a number of years but they continue to sell it (Google: "reddit bit driver extender stuck"). I ordered one without knowing this, along with a Bit Kit and a Wave+. A bit got permanently stuck inside the extender the first time that I used it. I approached the Leatherman customer service and they would not replace or exchange any products as I am not in the USA, but gave a partial refund. I was not happy with this resolution, but any subsequent emails have been ignored for the past 5 weeks. Do not buy outside of the USA - you're taking the risk that you can't have any faulty products replaced.

Purchased a customised multi-tool as an…

Purchased a customised multi-tool as an anniversary present for my wife. It was slightly galling having to pay nearly half the cost of the item as a shipping charge but I had no choice.
Unfortunately the wrong product arrived, customised for someone else. (Sorry Palmer Hirtle, whoever you are !).
I'm in the UK so I contacted the email address on the order form, which was for Leatherman Europe. I got an automated response saying they were busy and would answer when they could but please don't bother them. No service ticket, no indication of timing or urgency.
After several emails and phone calls in subsequent days trying to get through I was eventually told that's the wrong information and I need to deal with the US customer service. Why is it on the email then?

Then it got worse. Having promised to deal with it and replace it “as soon as possible” with a discount, I returned the mis-shipped item and waited for a replacement.
Eventually I followed up to be told I had misunderstood and I was supposed to return it, get a refund, place an entirely new order at full cost and then tell them.

In the meantime I had found the person who received the tool I ordered and it turned out he had mine and was also returning it. Why Leatherman couldn’t simply send out the correct tools once they were returned is even more of a mystery.

I’ve actually given up. I would rather pay full price for a Gerber than get a 30% discount at a company with such terrible service.

I've got the Leatherman watch

I've got the Leatherman watch. It's a great watch. The only issue I've experienced is that the watch snaps open, when I start to run or do fast sudden movements with my hand.

Why on earth do i have to give one star? My sons Leatherman multi tool broke and he sent it back to Leatherman in Germany. Now even Ben Rivera (Ben.Rivera@leathermancom) refuses to send the replacement and says that Kevin Hamil (kevin.hamil@leathermancom) who had the item (and now lost it) yet sent an email saying he hopes my son dies (My son is in the British Army) Is this how a multi million dollar company works? Lower form of scum... My son will NEVER buy Leatherman again....

Rude customer service.

Placed an order for accessories (which are not sold in stores and do NOT have a warranty) and received an email explaining my order would be cancelled if I did not personally call and talk to them. Contacted through online chat and explained that I am hearing impaired and couldn't call.

Response was "normal people don't place orders like this" and "what does being deaf have to do with anything?"

AUDISM =discrimination, prejudice, or a general lack of willingness to accommodate those who cannot hear.
Honestly, why have online ordering and then require orders to still be placed by voice telephone? Was informed this is policy now if you order more than 3 items from their website. Rationing of screwdriver bits?

28 C.F.R. § 36.303(d)(1)(iv): A public accommodation shall respond to telephone calls from a telecommunications relay service established under title IV of the Americans with Disabilities Act in the same manner that it responds to other telephone calls.

If I could give zero stars, I would

If I could give zero stars, I would. Last week I tried to place an order for 20 Micra multi-tools to give as wrap gifts to my set dressers. It was a time sensitive order. The website rejected it about 10 times, telling me that my payment was not good. My bank was not flagging the purchase, but the error message implied it was a problem on my end. It took ages to get a human on the phone once they opened the next day. When I did, she sort of scoffed at me needing them "quickly" (within a week) and instead of offering to transfer me to someone who could help or place the order for me, told me someone would contact me "soon" by email.

Apparently, if you need to order more than a few of anything, you have to go through a business orders department. I've never had this be an obligatory step in placing an order with a company. The business department reached a day later, replying to the email I had also sent explaining the problem I was having, but not addressing it at all or explaining, just giving me engraving options and business prices.

I basically gave up at that point, but on a whim tried to purchase them ONE more time a few days later because they were truly what I wanted to gift. This time, the website let an order of 10 go through then the subsequent order I tried to place got kicked back multiple times with the same payment error message. It's hard to explain just how frustrating this experience was and how many hours I wasted on this. Today, a few days after placing the order that did go through and choosing rush shipping, I finally had time the time wait on the line with customer service to see where the order was, since no shipping notice or further communication had been sent. It apparently had been "held up" because it was a "large order" -- keep in mind, this is 10 $35 pocket knives being flagged as a large order. No one emailed or called to warn me the order was sitting in limbo for two days. The woman on the phone seemed annoyed that I expressed that this experience was really frustrating. Her response was "okay." She cancelled the order for me and did not seem to care that this experience lost the company an $800 order and also disappointed and lost them a customer.

I work in a position where I purchase products for a living. I deal with hundreds of customer service reps a year. This was one of my worst experiences. To lose so much time and to be treated with total apathy on top of literally not being able to purchase their product... it's kind of mind-boggling. Believe these reviews and only purchase directly from Leatherman if you have a month to spare or enjoy banging your head against the wall.

Do not trust any more

Too bad. I've been a 25 years user of these tools but lately my last one broke and I had to send it for repair... OMG... Almost 3 months without it, I called, they don't know where my $200 tool is, now I have to go through legal process.
DO NOT BUY, do not trust this company any more, not "made in the US" no more, made in China, cheap stuff, guaranteed 25 years, as long as you can wait 25 years for repair !!

The WORST service. AVOID HEADACHE and do not buy

Purchased items then a few days later went on sale 50% off. Leatherman wouldn't do anything. Said we could return products then re-purchase - which would cost more for them to do this. We'll be returning but NOT re‐buy. Horrible service. Done with this company. Not the first customer service issue I've had with them.

Worst. Company. Ever.

I am shocked that there are as many positive reviews as there are. I received a Skeletool as a gift from my wife for birthday in March, 2022. In the beginning of May I had to have the knife fixed under their warranty. I had to pay for shipping back. I was told repairs should take 10 days and i'd have the item back. After two weeks had passed, I contacted them and they told me my knife was not delivered. I provided them tracking and their story changed and they told me that it was actually lost. They put in a request for a replacement, and would expediate shipping. The They were blaming a backlog of replacements on the holiday an entire week previous. On June 6th, a package showed up at my house from Leatherman- "Great! They sent the replacement!" Wrong. They sent back the STILL broken Skeletool that they originally said was "lost", and they didn't even fix it. So, I followed up on the status to be told the request is still pending. I have officially been without the knife longer than I ever had it. Will NEVER purchase another leatherman tool again and will be sure to tell every tool-lover/maintenance mechanic to stay away from their products.

Terrible company

This new policy of their where they call you up during a business day and ask weird questions is not going to fly with me. Now they are holding me money for 3 days and refusing shipment. This company needs a boycotting for their abuse.

Bizarre Company

Unbelieveable. I placed an order for the first time and they had someone call me and asked what I intended to do with the product. I told them that;s none of their business. It was bizarre. I don't appreciate this at all and it is VERY unprofessional. I will remove this only when they apologize and send my order.
