Too little, too Leatt

It was only a few weeks after I got my Leatt 4.0 Lite gloves that the left one riiiiippppped. A loud nasty tear! I quickly contacted Leatt and they quickly told me that they would replace the gloves under warranty, all I had to do was provide a receipt. I couldn’t, I said. They were a gift. A receipt or a bank statement would do it, Leatt insisted. Sorry, I’m not going to ask for either of those docs from my gift-giver.
So, here’s some things I’ve learnt from all this.
Make sure the gloves size and type are right. These were M. In hindsight, an L might not have ripped so easily.
Check the type of glove. Leatt told me these were moto gloves, not mtb which I use them for.
And thirdly… get hold of a brand that’s less likely to split/rip after a couple of uses.
