Either they don't honor the warranty or the items are of poor quality.
Purchased an enameled kettle which was used according to the instructions (never heated empty, never over heated) and only used it on an induction hob. The enamel peeled off in concentric rings and they told me the warranty was void because we must have over-heated it or heated an empty kettle.
The warranty is a joke! We used a pan in accordance with all the instructions, never over heated and used only wooden utensils and yet, the pan lost its non-stick properties just after a couple of months! And of course the customer service blamed it on an improper use - such a joke! If you use your pans/pots often, do not buy Le creuset as it seems this brand is only good for display not the actual use.
In October, a chip came off the inside base of my Le Creuset Pot. I have had it for 10 years and expected to keep it for a lifetime. After interacting with their customer service several times and answering all their questions, they disappeared and will not reply to any follow ups. I do believe I have a warranty claim because this should not happen but they will not reply to me. It has been 5 months.
