I'm trying to verify my account by…

I'm trying to verify my account by uploading my ID, the ID of my colleagues.. no one work and the reason is that these IDs are not visible! Which is not true!!
I want a solution to verify my account in order to spend money as a gift for my colleague.

You pay 4% to collect money under 2000…

You pay 4% to collect money under 2000 euro.
It's better to use Lydia or Revolut to collect the original amount of money contributed by friends, or you have to spend the money online with their partners.

One Word. Terrible.

One Word. Terrible.

I have been trying to cash in a money pot for over a year. Yes. A year. The money pot was closed in Apr 2021. Nothing.

It's been one of the most MONUMENTAL wastes of my time, and I'm still trying to get the transfer out.

I've never had to spend so much time following up and asking for something that is rightfully mine. Help team is responsive, except all they are allowed to do is to let me know they can't do anything, and that there are new things I need to do to get the transfer out. Zero flexibility on changing their process to help resolve the issue.

I would not recommend this service to anyone I'd like to maintain a relationship with.

On the other hand, if you'd like to get rid of someone in your life, send them a leetchi pot.

Edit 1: After going through the comments section here and seeing so many people have a terrible experience as well, I'm beginning to suspect Leetchi has cash flow issues, which is making them delay and push back transfers under the "need to validate compliance" to maintain a positive cash balance. I'm also wondering how many people give up on asking for their money, especially for smaller pots that aren't worth all this effort and trouble, which could also fall under helping maintain said positive cash balance.

really worse service ever..

really worse service ever... We had prepared the small cagnotte with a few colleges ... However Leetchi has blocked it and we cannot use any more collected money... With no reason they're asking for proof of the money, where to spend them ... I clearly explained that we need to buy some clothes ( pdf with recipes), they keep asking for proof..it is just 150 euros ... But I'm really shocked that they take money and you cannot take them away

No ID verification, no info, no help, no money

Date of feedback: April 2022. I started a money pot for a colleagues farawell present in October, and uploaded my ID by the end of October 2021.
- no feedback since then
- ID not verified
- no chance to upload other document or enquire about verification status
- Help center does not answer "in a few minutes"
- online help is pretty useless
You are better off with putting an upside-down hut next to the company cafeteria with the colleague's name on it...

Money disappeared...!!

Just like many I had a mone pot & issued a wire transfer to an European Account to received 2 days later an email stating that the wire was refused with no explanation....
I logged into my account to see that the money is no longer available !!!
LEETCHI what is going on ?? I want my money back on my pot so i can wire it i don't seek for a reimbursment !!!!

PLEASE ADVISE.

I already contacted you through the heldesk email & on twitter.

I am shocked when i see all these comments....

STAY AWAY - DOES NOT RELEASE FUNDS

I can only confirm the negative reviews by others. I organized a birthday fundraiser to collect money, which I donated (from my personal account) to an organization to support the Ukraine in this difficult time.

However, Leetchi for whatever reason refuses to transfer the money to my account despite that I completed the ID verification before I started the fundraiser and am trying to send the money to an account in my name in a SEPA country (fully in line with their requirements).

I would not recommend anyone to use this company.

Update: After providing various additional requested documents by email that clearly proved (i) the use of the funds in line with all their regulations, including those specifically related to Ukraine and (ii) that I am the rightful owner of the account I want them to release the money to, I just received another automatic email that my transfer was refused. In this they state the same reason as initally so we are back to the beginning and they are still keeping more than EUR 2,000 without any legal grounds.

Unfortunately, they leave me no other option than to initiate legal action and I will only stop them once they released the funds and paid the legal fees.

No recommendation

I spend some time in Tanzania as a volunteer, and I tried to find out which homepage I can use to do a fundraising. A good friend of mine used Leetchi, since 3 weeks she is trying to get the money, the money is blocked (for no reason!) and she cannot even call Leetchi. She gets an answer from Leetchi per Mail once per week. And this answer doesn't even help or change anything. So still no money... She tries everything and is now about to cancel everthing, after weeks of collecting donations. I cannot understand that! This should not work like this!!

Leetchi is making me ill…

I have been trying to get the money that was raised for over a year and finally got all the information together they required. I sent the information and now no one has replied to the emails and no one answers the telephone

Eventually had a reply from Leetchi. Despite sending ID as requested (and all the other information) the ID was rejected-passport photos. Since 26th March I have been trying to resolve this issue. I have sent photos (which they want) inside flash/no flash and outside but am still being told the information isn’t visible which is categorically untrue. I have no idea what this company want-in the meantime I am not coping with the stress. This isn’t how this was supposed to be.

The worst experience

The worst experience. We collected funds for a charity in September 2021 and we STILL CANNOT access them in March 2022!! We tried to transfer the money pot straight to the charity, it failed, straight to EU and UK bank accounts to then send on to the charity, it failed too (with no explanation given), we are still trying to transfer to new accounts now, this has wasted SO MUCH of our time, never use this service. The helpline does not answer, despite many emails and calls. It is a fraud, sequestring our funds like this. I am about to report Leetchi to the Financial Ombudsman.

Hi I start to be worried because I have created the money pot, I have created profile, attached id but when I ask to transfer money the system says there is an error with my profile that cannot be validated!!!! They will not release our money!

They will not release our money!! I have been trying for a year to get someone to have a conversation with me as our bank transfer did not come through and when I try to request a new transfer they say 'sorry you cannot access this page'. Why do they not have a phone number and why does no one respond to emails. I don't know what more to do but I would not recommend anyone to use this company ever.

No reply

I have been corresponding with the help desk for over 6 months asking them to release our funds. I have tired to phone and to log in to my account but I cannot reset my password and the phone number doesn't work. I am very worried that we will not receive the funds which are a gift collectively from friends for a birthday.

Unable to get verification

I'm collecting a money pot for a leaving present for my colleague who will leave the company after 4,5 years.
I can't verify my email account and I've sent a message to them asking to fix this but so far no reply.
At this point I'm getting stressed if this is a scam and I should tell my colleagues that they should stop transferring funds to the money pot.

UPDATE: even though the help via the website itself didn't help, I was helped within a day after posting this. Thank you for your assistance!

Outraged! Where is my money !!

I am absolutely terrified and outraged. I used Leetchi for the first time after a friend recommendation, to collect a birthday pot for my partner. I requested the bank transfer over a full week ago and received an automatic communication email saying it would take up to 48 hours to reach my account. I have emailed and phone on several occasions. They have not answered any emails, the phone number on the website doesn’t ever connect or work. Is this a scam?! Have I just lost €580??? Where is my money!!

The customer service isn't answering…

The customer service isn't answering calls at all, nor emails. I can't verify my account as the links I receive lead to an error message. Even though I explained the issue several times in emails and on the website, I still haven't been helped and I keep receiving links that are not working.

Le service client ne repond pas par email et ne repond pas aux appels. je ne peux pas verifier mon compte et la cagnotte est bloquee. les liens de verification que je recois menent a un message d'erreur, et malgre mes nombreux emails. Leetchi m'envoie les memes emails avec les memes liens.

Issue resolved with professionalism and kindness

In early Feb, I wrote a negative review after having encountered an issue on the platform which was not being treated. But we forget that sometimes support teams in any business can be overwhelmed with customer requests so responses can take time. Unsuccessful bank transfer… where has the amount gone?

I used the platform in November for the first time for a birthday gift collection and because the experience went so well, I decided to use it for another birthday collection. 7 days ago, I requested that the amount get transferred to my bank. The transfer was unsuccessful however the amount never re-appeared in my money pot. Where are the €200? I check my Leetchi account on a daily basis, the amount is nowhere to be seen! I have called countless times, and cannot reach anyone. If the money wasn’t transferred to my bank account, it should have automatically been returned to the money pot. Where is it? I’m furious and stressed.

My husband died on December 28th

My husband died on December 28th, 2021 and some friends decided to give me a donation. I was really surprised by this and wasn't expecting it. I got on the site okay, no problems. I was going to do a transaction but needed information to make this happen. Few days later (today Feb 4th) I try and do the transaction as I have the info and a window pops up asking for my email and password. WHY, as I signed on with Facebook (which I shouldn't have done). So I tried to request a password, with email. Still no answer! I already feel like crap, and having to deal with something that doesn't need to be complicated to begin with, is. I want to know why? Also, I wanted to contact you on your Facebook page and that no longer exists. What kind of game is this?

this is the tribute to my husband that mutual friends set up. "Avril - Norbert Tribute" I tried doing a transaction and it was going okay, but I needed to give more information which at that moment I didn't have. Few days after, I had the info, but this time for whatever reason a pop up window came up asking for my email and password. Now, I signed onto Facebook and forgot the email attached to Facebook I have now deleted and upgraded to a protonmail account. Unfortunately I cannot change that email on Leetchi. Also, I thought I was connected to FB and so I used the old email and FB password and it never went through. With all this craziness right now I am unsure whether I made a new acct or not. I sign onto the site connecting to FB and it seems okay but I cannot do any actions. Thanks for your time and help.
