Absolute crooks. Trying to charge a tenancy renewal fee that was not disclosed upon the first tenancy. Said they would waive just this once but would charge in future. Highlighted the consumer law in this respect, and plus I was a property lawyer for 13 years so I know my stuff, but yet they are still trying to charge it! Saying that they will now amend the tenancy to include the fee, because now I know about it. Again referred them to consumer law that they can't change the terms of original tenancy on renewal as this is deemed to be aggressive trading but their blatant disregard to the law is outrageous and, quite frankly, worrying. Now instructing solicitors and I will be contacting trading standards about this! And I will certainly stay away from any letting that uses this company!! Plus they are crap with the maintenance- 6 months of damp issues and I'm having to liaise with the contractor myself...! What is my landlord paying them to do again? Oh wait, I'm paying for that in the extra £180 a year in fees they are trying to scam out of me!!!!!
