Review — Lexmark MB2200 Overall, it’s a very good little printer, especially considering it offers automatic duplex (double-sided) printing in such a compact size. Print quality and day-to-day use... See more

Lexmark is crap
I would have to concur with my colleagues that Lexmark printers are crap. I spend too much time fighting with it to scan and print, it being offline more than it being online. If you can't create a printer that works with Windows 10, stop making printers. This is my second replacement printer with Lexmark. Never again.

Bought a new C3326dw and had printing problems right out of the box! Contacted support and though I was being taken care of quickly and efficiently, but haven't received everything I was told I would get to fix the situation and no response back from the support agent. Support ticket # 1-348264657971
Am now packing it up to return the printer and buy something else....Not Lexmark!!
called lexmark for a toner cart
I called lexmark to give me a part number for a toner cart so I could order it online. I then ordered the cart online. The cart showed up and it was the wrong part. I called and Lexmark admitted that they gave me the wrong part number. They required me to send proof of purchase of my PRINTER, along with photos of the printer itself. I did this in an email. The correct toner cart was promptly sent to my home and a return pack list was sent with it. I packaged up the wrong part and sent it back. There is a difference in price between the cart I paid for and the cart that I needed. My last email to them was an inquiry of how to get the difference refunded to me. I did not get a response to that email. I waited for the month end to check my bank account for the refund, did not see it and waited a couple weeks longer. Finally I called in asking about my refund. I will say at this point, that every phone call to Lexmark is a minimum one-hour expenditure. I first spoke to customer service, and after painfully explalining my problem, the rep finally understood what I was saying, and then transferred my to customer service. Again having to explain myself to tech support I was given a phone number to customer service. at that time I was getting angry and asked the tech support rep if he knew that customer support transferred me to him. frustrated, I accepted the transfer to customer service and was promised a call back by a manager within 24 hours. I never received that call. I called back a few days later, went through the exact same B.S. and was promised a call back. I never received that call. After a couple of days I called again and finally managed to get someone on the phone that cared, this was Steven. He understood my problem and told me I would get a call back. guess what..no call. I called back again, spoke with Dana and this woman was wonderful. She understands my issue and gets Tech support on the phone in a conference call. Tech support wanted more photos of my printer and my proof of purchase of the printer (again, i had returned a printer cart). Dana had this info on her monitor and explained to andres that it's legit and advocated for a refund for me. Tech support did not want to take her word for it, so Dana emailed my purchase history to Andres. I was promised a refund and a call back within 24 hours. NO CALL BACK. I called the next day, explained my problem and was told that Dana was not there and was offered a call back from a manager, which of course I did not
- receive. I called back the next day, Friday, July 10 and got a recorded message saying they were closed for a holiday. Today, Monday I have been on the phone for 2 hours, phone disconnected 3x, the management absolutely refused to give my money back, instead offering me more toner. This is a home printer, it will take me years to use all the toner. Management refused to speak with me. The service reps really wanted to help me, but management put their foot down. They gave me a wrong part number and would not give me a refund. Theives.
Horrible customer service
I own a lexmark printer and recently had to order a black laser cartridge. Not only did the $69.95 seem extremely high but I had to send the used cartridge back. To my surprise there was no prepaid label and I had to pay another $19.95 to ship it back. That put the cartridge at around $90. I tried to voice my concern on their website and just got some stupd automated chat that kept asking me if they'd solved my problem. I will never use another Lexmark product not will I ever recommend a lexmark product to my customers. Avoid lexmark they are a total ripoff.
No customer service or warranty.

Its bad Jim but not as we know it. (Its worse Jim)
Lexmark printer = poor. Customer services = Good.
Our colour laser multi-function printer started having issues after 18 months of light use. We contacted Lexmark and even though it was out of warranty, they did send out a component for us to fit.
We think that the Lexmark printer was probably of poor quality at the manufacture stage and for that we can only give ONE STAR!
But, for their customer service, we will give them 5 Stars!
Useless guarantee. Useless app. Useless printer
Their ‘guarantee’ is a return to base one. Ie you have to pay for a 10kg machine to be posted to them. With it being insured it probably costs half the printers value instead. Not worth the paper it’s written on.
As for the printer. I’ve had issues since day 1. Constantly losing connection in a network. Conflicting drivers with windows. The Wi-Fi printing app is useless.
Stick with brother
Lexmark MC2640
I recently purchased a Lexmark Lazer color printer MC2640,it worked great for 3 months with light use. I had a small problem with misaligned paper after a paper jam, the phone technical assistance was not good and they sent a technician to repair the printer. The technician was horrible and dropped my printer on the floor in multiple pieces with wires loosely connecting and further damaging the printer. The frame of the printer is bent and it is completely inoperable. Lexmark is dragging their feet on further repairs caused by their technician! The printer is not functional. The worst customer service I have experienced possibly ever.
No scanning driver solution for MacOS10.14 and MB2442
I have a printer/scanner, which is deemed compatible with MacOS Mojave. The scanner worked fine with MacOS Sierra, unfortunately when I had to upgrade to Mojave, it is no longer working. The Support team had me fill out an entire questionnaire I added some screenshots and described the issue and as feedback/solution I received an e-mail saying well if you have further questions you can also call our technical support.
Man I will not buy another Lexmark printer anytime soon! This is really poor.
MB2442 printer was a nightmare to set…
MB2442 printer was a nightmare to set up and get working. Useless pictogram and no instructions. On the phone to Portugal for an hour but could not get the drivers to work properly. No option than to enlist the help of my own IT guys at £50 per hour but at least I can print. Prints nicely too but it is ridiculously hard to set up and work. Seems to do just about everything but i only want to print and scan and I cannot scan without using the scan centre when I just want to put the document on the glass and press scan. Is that too much to ask? Wish i had read the reviews on here first but who does supply a printer that is easy to set up and cheap to run? Nobody thats who!

We bought a Lexmark printer with a 4 year warranty, after 3 months it broke down I was told to read terms and conditions they don't come out to fix the printers If I had known I would not have purchased this printer.
I was told to post the printer at my expense. Not happy with their customer services either not helpful.
a good printer for a great price, but
a good printer for a great price, but,
I have installed hundreds of printers, mainly from lexmark or IBM.
This one came with no informatiojn about how to install it except for pictures on what shipping pieces to remove. The problem started when I was halfway through the installation and the menus on its screen froze up on me. I did everything possible. I also looked up all documentation available but it still did not work. Finally I
removed the plug, came back after 24 hours. The menu was then discharged form the system and then it worked. I can't imagine what Lexmark was thinking when they made this device. It shows real care in Engineering, but to not include a basic troubleshooting guide is beyond reproach.

I don't know why they have so many bad reviews but I'm satisfied. I bought 1 from them and everything was fine!
Lexmark printers are absolutely…
Lexmark printers are absolutely terrible. The menu screen on the device is terrible and stuck in "tech" language from 1990. There is no easy way to use them. Now after 1 month of it working, it is constantly offline and it doesn't connect to any laptop or phone. It is the worst printer I have ever owned. Am going back to HP.
CS727DN
CS727DN. A commercial-grade printer, heavy as hell but excellent performance. Overkill for home use, but I occasionally need to do big print runs and wife prints a lot of stuff for school so worth it for us. Extended warranty offered and accepted, all good.
Until it went wrong.
11 months old and it displayed an error message relating to the Fuser and stopped working. I contacted customer support via the web form and heard nothing within the specified period, so I spoke to the reseller and they got me a telephone number. I called, went through tons of BS which seemed to take forever only to be told that the fuser was not covered by warranty as it is a consumable item. This I can understand, but in this case it is 11 months old and has only done 10% of its rated duty.
Overall it has taken nearer to 3 weeks than the 3 days specified in the warranty to get to this point.
If I had purchased direct I would be heading to the small claims court for a replacement and compensation for consequential losses, but this is not an option as I will not punish the reseller for a Lexmark failing.
I will return this junk
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Over a month with a brand new printer that has not worked from day one and the service department takes weeks to sort out a technician visit claiming "complicated" processes. At this stage it looks like I was sold a faulty printer. Do not buy Lexmark.
My printer is affordable and worked…
My printer is affordable and worked okay for 18 months and then packed in. They quoted me double the cost of the machine to come out and fix it. I found it cheaper to buy a new one, have it delivered from Germany to Ireland, come with 3 months of free ink and a 4 year warranty compared to no ink and a 3 month warranty from Lexmark themselves. And double the cost!
Shame on me but I dropped my perfectly good printer off at the recycling centre as opposed to paying double for them to fix it. Their business model wrecks the planet and infuriates customers.
On a separate note, their scanner software with a Mac is 1980's quality.

Totally agree on Alicia's Weston review. Lexmark worst customer services I have experienced too. I opened three service tickets on same issue . Still no answer more for than a month. They just auto acknowledgement "We are working to assist you as soon as possible". It was last time i bought something with Lexmark logo.
C734dn printer - good product, terrible support and customer treatment
I purchased a C734dn printer. Got a very good deal, and was happy with the printer in every way until I bought replacement cartridges. I looked up the information on the web and saw two choices for each color and Black cartridge. One high yield and the other normal size. I of course purchased the high yield cartridges. The cartridges were an exact fit, but the printer displayed incorrect cartridge. I contacted Lexmark customer service to find out if there was a firmware update, or some way to bypass the cartridge error. Lexmark customer service response "Wrong cartridge". Now I know why the printer was cheap. Good product, terrible support and customer insulting service.
