Product is gutless too thin doesn’t dry…

Product is gutless too thin doesn’t dry quick enough even when you wipe the excess off. Spent days preparing so disappointed with the finish I had to remove from the worktops.
Since used another brand makes Liberon Danish Oil look cheap with poor quality what a waste of time and money.
I’ve been in the industry for over 40 years Liberon oil has lost it’s quality shame.

Hard wax oil

I have just used the hard wax oil and am very disappointed with it. I found it difficult to apply despite stirring thoroughly before and during use as per instructions. It clogged the brush and left a sticky residue. The information on the tin says brushes are cleanable in water but I didn't find that to be the case and warm soapy water just made the brush a tacky mess. Using white spirit did the trick. I prepared the surface as per instructions but the product raised the grain. The second and final coat was applied after ligh sanding but has still left a raised grain rough finish. The product boasts a smooth finish but despite following the instructions that's not the case. In summary, a disappointing product, not easy to apply and doesn't do what it says on the tin. I won't be using again.

Does not work

I searched for varnish remover and Liberon was one of the products that appeared. Since I had heard of the company as opposed to others that I had not heard of, I decided to buy wax and polish remover. Despite carrying out the instructions, I found that not only had I wasted money, but some valuable time as well. So I am now sanding the varnish off with the help of my Dremel. Ok it’s taking me a hell of a lot longer but I can see the results. Avoid this product.

Zero technical support, misinformation on website

I have been wood finishing for nearly 40 years, Liberon oils are good but wanted to try the hardwax oil. No detailed information on website and the information that is there is confusing and mostly incorrect, data sheet was incorrect and out of date. Took me 40 mins to get through trying 3 extensions, woman told me the ladt Director was an idiot 'from up North'! told me phone system was rubbish but they cannot change it for another year! Marketing bod contacted parent company in France who refused to give me accurate information due to 'proprietary' nature. Total farce. Their basic tung and finishing oils I would use, any other products use at your own risk, as a professional I am not risking it as zero confidence from a joke company and I have been using Liberon filking waxes since 1985!

Liberon’s v33 renovation paint is not…

Liberon’s v33 renovation paint is not consistent in colour and you end up with different shades of paint on your project when finished. I Sent emails to manager but he is not replying. We used 2 tubs of this v33 renovation paint and ended up with 2 different colour shades on kitchen doors, they now have to be re prepped and re painted, they did send out more paint but only 1 tub, we used 2 tubs to paint project so I don’t know how 1 tub is going to repaint project when it took 2 tubs of this paint. When it arrived it was covered in wet paint but box what undamaged I attach picture this company has no customer service and the management are not willing to help or take responsibility. I would definitely use an other maker of renovation paint as this company use inferior/faulty products and you will end up out of pocket and have to pay to have your renovations re done NOT A RECOMMEND COMPANY.

Wish I had read the reviews before .

Wish I had read the reviews before .
This is totally rubish.. totally ruin a very expensive bespoke piece of furniture.. how they can market such a thing.. Lifts the grain on the wood.. goes to sticky mess.. takes ages to cure then to an uneven tacky mess.. by own admission on the tin can take three weeks to properly harden..
What planet is Liberon on if they think they can market this rubbish..

Forty years a joiner and never have I…

Forty years a joiner and never have I encountered a product like this! Awful, water based wood dye. If you don't want your work ruined, use the spirit based as when it comes to putting water based varnish on top of this, the base coat is softened and spreads around. My god if this is the way forward! NEVER AGAIN and what a waste of money and time.

Hard to deal with

Tried to find a product on their own website, the website was not working as it should so I phoned them, the product Liberon Professional hard wax oil has been stopped and a replacement offered, Liberon hard wax oil, the non-professional one is very slightly cheaper and the coverage is less than half the professional item, when I mentioned therefore that the cost would be nearly double the impression I got was that is why they stopped supplying the professional one, the standard one is water based and the professional one is solvent, when you read reviews the professional one has a fantastic rating and the standard one has terrible ratings. I now asked where can I buy either oil from and was told to use the location search on their on website, after 4 phone calls to local stores none of them stocked or had even heard of any of Liberon's hard wax oils.At this point I gave up and I now will be using another companies product. Sort out your website Liberon.
