The staff are usually unhelpful

The staff are usually unhelpful, with a generally dirty store. This is the carrigaline branch only. Tonight when I went in I required the toilet. I was told by staff that it was too late, 50 minutes before closing. I lost interest in shopping and just left my items on a shelf. I honestly think it the worst lidl I have been to, unfortunately the nearest to my home.

Wild Burrow Damson Gin

I purchased a bottle of Wild Burrow Damson Gin from Lidl at Newtownabbey in N.Ireland. It cost £16.99. It tasted nothing like any damson gin I have ever had before. It tasted like Parma Violets. It was horrible. I had only poured one measure. I returned it to Lidl. They said they couldn't refund me as it had been opened! I left the almost full bottle with the Manager as it was undrinkable. I wasted £16.99. Very, very poor customer service.

Went in to my local store to buy…

Went in to my local store to buy groceries and was asked for proof of age for alcohol. Im in my early 30s and find this ridiculous. I work in retail myself and you can clearly tell someone under the age of 18. Irrespective of their policy of challenge 25. some cop on is needed. Wont be shopping here again

Bad customer service

I went to lidl in castleisland as I do 3 or 4 times a week I realised I had no coin for a trolley and new the large basket wasn't big enough so I asked a member of staff if he could release a trolley for me. Reply No Are you serious I went to Aldi to be fair I didn't have to ask there as 1 was already unattached. I have on occasion had same problem in Tesco killarney where they gave me a euro and I bought in back in after shopping. Did the guy in lidl think I'd run off with his euro The Garda station is only across the if I did. So I spent 55.29 in aldi and crossed the road to supervue for potted plants which I wanted in lidl another 30 You turned Away 85 euro for fear id bolt with your euro😜

Waiting 6 months so far for Refund

Bought a Lidl Chainsaw which stopped working after 3 months. Contacted Lidl in October 2024 and was told that a company called Novatel ( Located In England)deals with warranty issues . Promised a refund in December and still waiting for the refund in May 2025. Absolute disaster to deal with . Won't be buying any Lidl tools after this experience

I bought a kettle a few months ago

I bought a kettle a few months ago, it broke and no refund or replacement was offered in the Lidl store so I have to deal with customer service my self, which wasn’t free to call, so I decided to save my time and nerves and bought new one from different store with 2 years warranty. I will never by anything like from Lidl again.

Extremely rude staff member

I was in Lidl mullingar and my lidl plus didn't work. The servers where down (neither me or the staff member realised at the time which is fine) but the woman behind the till was extremely rude about my lidl plus not working. Wouldn't go there again because of her attitude.

Bought Coca Cola 18 packs out of Lidl…

Bought Coca Cola 18 packs out of Lidl on 15/03/25 . Only realised they were recycle only when I went to return machine to get my deposit back . I was charged €8.10 return fee on my purchase. And only told to bring my cans ( which have now been recycled elsewhere) to the till for a refund . They should not have been on sale in the first place . Scammed me out of my money .

lost property

I lost my phone in Lidl on March 22, as I left it in Trolley.
I returned to the shop at around 11 a. m. I was assured it wasnt handed in. So I left 2 phone numbers to contact me if it was found. I returned to the shop Sunday 23rd and a checkout Lady asked a cleaning Lady. She replied no phone handed in. In the afternon a family member called in again. This time a helpful lady went with her to all the tills, which had a few lost phones, and my grandaughter spotted it at Till 3. Please thank that lady on my behalf. surely Lidl could have a lostproperty cupboard that the security person could show customers. A lot of elderly customers like myself would appreciate such support at a stressfull time

Lidl don't do customer service

My Father in Law bought a robot lawn mower from Lidl and I followed up on his behalf as it was faulty. The Lidl customer service is non existent, I didn't expect it to take 3 weeks or more for a response to purchase of a faulty Parkside robot lawnmower. I was referred to their agent Novo who took several months to process my complaint and refused a refund insisting all they could do was replace a faulty part. Lidl themselves referred me after multiple calls to their quality department which clearly doesn't exist. If I could give zero stars rating I would but 1 seems to be the minimum with Trustpilot. Short answer - Lidl don't do customer service

Had an experience of two faulty…

Had an experience of two faulty parkside robot lawnmowers.

Contacted Lidl service they put me in touch with their service partner,NOVO csc in the UK. They were not at all helpful, five months later nothing from NOVO only promises of a refund, because they were unable to repair the mowers and yet no sign of my refund despite sharing my full bank details.
Meanwhile got back to Lidl and this time their quality assurance team got my refund(via Lidl Digital Gift Card) sorted after I told them that I was going to take this to the small claims court...Dreadful experience..

Lidl Car Clamping

Hey Guys
Just want flag that I was in a Lidl Store earlier today and was clamped and had to pay €125 for having an out of date blue disability badge. It was out of date and I was parked in a disabled spot. I am disabled and cannot walk any distance without significant pain .
Just be careful parking in Lidl, Lucky it was Thursday and I had my disability payment , still going to be on bread and water for a week now, I wonder how much Lidl get paid to let a clamping company into their carparks.

I have been in the shop for 50 minutes

I have been in the shop for 50 minutes, waiting for the shop assistant to put the milk on the shelf... I was told that the milk is on the bottom of the pallet and since then, she's taking her time moving the pallet up and down the isle but not even attempting to get the milk... She can see me waiting but now she parked the palet and left... I'm going to speak to the manager...

The manager sent someone else to put milk on the shelf. I left the shop after an hour...
