Awful, awful, awful! I have been trying to claim the promised £30 cashback, but the help I have had from the company has been nothing short of abysmal. It is now almost a month since buying the fridge and because of their forms - which do not work online - I STILL have not managed to get the promised £30. Avoid like the plague.
Ok a £30 cash back did prompt buying a Liebherr fridge - It was expensive to start with - bought online from their website on 7th July delibvered on the 11th July - claim submitted but outside the30 day lapse - not a straight forward process - and did threaten to throw the towel in and told them to stuff their £30.
But hell no I thought - went through the difficult process a gin a good 30 days after the bought and delivered dates to be on the safe side but declined again. I wont be trusting Liebherr again.
Update - Persistence in the end did prevail and Louise has promised some satisfaction yet to validate. But what a performance. The fridge itself , having gone full IT is beyond my wife. But overall satisfied with the fridge itself. Upgraded to 3*

Further frustration when refusal notice sent to 2 email addresses despite having had a positive confirmation - computer unable to cope with replications caused by initial problems - 5* to Louise. All is forgiven
Find it noisier than my old Bosch. Also vegetable drawers become damp after about 10 days. Have to keep drying them off and also shelf. I was told to push a straw into drainage hole on regular basis by the company. Would not consider buying this brand ever again. Not impressed.

Complaint Details: We purchased two Liebherr refrigerators in 2024, to install side by side in our kitchen. One of the units has had persistent and unresolved issues with the freezer section. In less than a year, it has required approximately 10 separate service calls, including: • A broken fan • Failure to defrost • Complete freezer failure (twice) • Ongoing ice maker issues Each time, repairs are attempted but the same or similar issues recur. Despite our patience and willingness to work through the retailer and authorized service technicians, the problem persists. At this point, the unit is functionally defective, and clearly a lemon. It is still under warranty, and we are formally requesting a full replacement under Liebherr’s warranty obligations. Our attempts to resolve this with the retailer and through normal customer service channels have not produced any lasting resolution. We are now escalating to the BBB in hopes of a timely and appropriate resolution. We are happy to provide documentation of service visits and communications upon request. Resolution Requested: Replacement of the defective refrigerator unit under warranty. If replacement is not possible, we are requesting a full refund. I purchased a Liebherr fridge less than 12 months ago, and I’ve recently encountered an issue that has been quite difficult to manage. Since Friday night (today is Wednesday, 3rd September), an alarm has been sounding continuously, triggered by an error code that requires a part replacement. While the fridge itself is still cooling, the alarm cannot be muted—the only way to silence it is by turning the unit off at the wall.
I contacted Liebherr’s service partner, Andy-co, on Monday, as there was no after-hours support available over the weekend. I explained that the fridge is a pigeon pair and positioned in a way that makes it very difficult to access the power point. I also have a shoulder injury and no one available to help move or disconnect the unit safely.
Despite explaining all of this, I was told today that I will receive a call in 24–48 hours just to confirm when a technician might attend. That means I’ve had a very loud alarm sounding in my home for five days, with no clear path to resolution in the short term.
The LED display is locked on the error code, and there is no way to mute or temporarily disable the alarm. This isn’t a quiet alert like a door-open chime—it’s significantly louder, more like a life-support machine on speed, and it runs constantly.
I completely understand that faults can happen and that technicians aren’t always immediately available. But it seems reasonable to expect that once a service call is logged, the system would allow the alarm to be silenced, especially when the issue doesn’t affect cooling and isn’t an urgent safety risk.
I chose Liebherr for its reputation and quality, and I still believe the product itself has merit. But this experience has highlighted a lack of flexibility in fault handling and a gap in the support process, particularly for customers with accessibility needs. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for others in future.

The installation and set up instructions are dire. The pictures to 'help' you install are poor and don't explain in words. Even the on-line videos aren't much help. Even worse is setting the temperature. The digital display isn't explained in the handbook. There are icons on the display that don't feature in the book. We struggled to get it to set the 5C temperature. Leibherr you need to test your instructions on people who are new to the appliances

Brand new Liebherr integrated fridge, first time switched on presented with an error message & to contact service. Technician came out quickly and determined a part was required which was ordered. Technician came back 10 days later to fit the part and error not resolved, so we are now waiting on a 2nd part. To have a new, not inexpensive appliance have two parts need replacing is unacceptable. Secondly the smart device should be included initially or potential customers should be made aware this needs to be purchased separately to connect to the app. The swipe control panel is bloody awful to use. Never again will I buy Liebherr

Bought my 2nd in 21. One door is 15 years old and works perfectly. 2 door ice maker broke instantly and neither Liebherr or Cocoplum would honor the warranty till I took them to court. They wrote decent checks and paid for service from 3-4 hrs away roundtrip twice. Ice maker broke again it became easier to get ice at the gas station. It needs manual defrosting every 6 months I tend to think that's unique for 5-6k appliances. The only reason I didn't give them a 1 is because their troubleshooting is excellent. That's probably cheaper than a recall
We have had a small, apartment size Liebherr, 14" width for 18 years and although quirky, it is still going strong with occasional calls to tech support who have solved various problems over the phone! Some defrostings necessary now and then, but a very good appliance.

We bought Liebherr CTE 2131 Fridge/Freezer from AO in August 2023 and immediately noticed that the lowest part of the shelves above the veg container gets very cold and ice builds up on the back panel despite unblocked drain hole. As a result everything on the lower shelf of the fridge freezes even with the thermostat level under 4 or 3. We observed it to see if it improves but the Lowe part of the fridge turns into a freezer. In August 2024 we got it checked and their engineer changed the thermostat and in July 2025 another engineer changed the thermostat as they don't know why it happens.The manufacturer's customer service keeps blaming the blockage at the back and the drain hole but nothing is blocking it. Freezer also gets frosty easily. The manufacturer's customer service is reluctant to help even if we keep telling them it's defective. They won't replace it or fix it within their 2-year warranty. Please don't buy any fridge from this manufacturer as their warranty means no repair or replacement so you will end up having a defective fridge.

Purchased a Liebherr fridge freezer in January 2021 as I understood that they were a good brand.
The fridge freezer has worked reasonably well until this last week. The fridge is now up to 20 degrees and will not go down even with the ventilation fan on and the freezer is stubbornly at -4 degrees and will not move even with superfreeze on.
I am now using the freezer to cool food that has not already gone bad as the freezer is not working as a freezer but is still cooler than the fridge.
Awaiting visit from D & G tomorrow, Let's see what happen!

Fridge freezer started failing about a year after purchase. Suddenly stops keeping things properly frozen or cold which has resulted in a lot of food waste. Had to have engineers out twice in the time we have had it. Terrible for a new appliance. Customer Service are clearly used to issues arising with it as they advise you to do a hard reset as soon as you call. Sorry - a non- frost fridge freezer should not be freezing up. I will not be buying from this brand again. Abysmal product. Wish we had never bought it.

Apparently 'good' quality appliances let down with an appalling customer service and delivery service. If you order a fridge and ask for one to be removed, if the third party contractor (not brand) deem that it cannot be taken away then, they won't deliver the fridge. Leaving you without a fridge. You have to rearrange a delivery time, and they have no customer support out of office hours.
I recommend not going direct if you have to order a fridge, but I can say, customer service is put them last.

We had a Liebherr fridge which was OK and lasted reasonably well but died recently.
Considering replacements I looked at their website, which is borderline unuseable thanks to the massive, seemingly non-removable promotional popup that covers literally 40% of the screen area.
The website was enough to make me look elsewhere but having now seen other reviews on here having come to post mine, I'll definitely be avoiding them.

Purchased a new Fridge Freezer we have been waiting for 5 days to get a delivery confirmation date from the delivery company and started to get a little worried as the delivery time frame was meant to be 5 to 10 days. After contacting Liebherr and asking them to chase their delivery partner, Liebherr Sales responded within less than 24 hours with a list of available delivery dates. After receiving the delivery on time as promised I had to change the door hinges. I followed the instructions half way through when I came across a point which was not clear to me. I called Liebherr and my call was answered within less than one minute by the Sales department because I chose the wrong option. They kindly transferred me to the Service/Support department. Again the call was answered within less than a minute. After talking to Lionel my question was promptly and professionally answered and with accurate information. I had an additional concern which required a query to the "back office" and I was promised a call back within an hour. 10 minutes Later I received the call back with an reassuring answer addressing my concern. We also received a 10 year warranty which I suspect some other reviewers failed to purchase/obtain so I am not sure if all the negative reviews are justified??. Thanks again to the Liebherr Team and especially to Monae and Lionel.
Save yourself future heartache if you happen to buy a faulty model! Our brand new model, purchased in December 2024, was broken within 3 months. We were 8 WEEKS WITHOUT a fridge/freezer! We have been astonished at the lack of customer care at Liebherr which has been abysmal. During the whole 8 weeks we received not one apology for the product break down and the appalling service that we received. No sense of alarm that the product broke down whilst only being three month's old. No sense of dissatisfaction with the Glotech engineer who put in 2 new sensors (that didn't need replacing) and didn't correctly diagnose the fault. No ability to expedite the repairs. Thankfully our family and friends know to avoid their products in future.
Fridge broke down after 4,5 years and the cheapest spare parts are as expensive as the fridge itself. So no point of fixing it. The fridge was 50cm wide and these fridges are not sold anymore so I have to renovate the kitchen again to fit a new fridge

We have purchased this refrigerator on suggestion made by Vijay Sales India and it is not even 4 years now and the fridge is not working. We are trying to reach their customer care and they send an engineer and he just takes a photograph and leaves and we are paying them a visit charge everytime he comes. Last time he has charged Rs.3,600.00 for replacement of some part and it did not work for a week. Now the customer care just takes the call and no one comes to attend the problem. We had a Whirlpool refrigerator before and it lasted for more than 20 years. We are not able to keep any perishable goods at home as for last 2 months the refrigerator has stopped working and we do not have anyone to attend it. We request everyone reading this review not even to think of buying such a disgusting product. The problems have started almost after the warranty period was over and we have been suffering for almost 3 years now. I don't have an option but to buy another refrigerator which is well known in the market and not to fall for some salesman who has tried to push us with such a product.
