DO NOT INVITE THIS EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL COMPANY INTO YOUR PROJECT.
We used them to design and supply a full MVHR system into our home that was under renovation. A site visit was conducted and a design was given, products were purchased as recommended by Lindab.
Firstly the products arrived in 4 or 5 different deliveries meaning we could not move forward with the project until we had what was needed in it’s entirety, a few of the products were damaged, missing and incorrect quantities were sent.
Secondly it didn’t take too long to realise that the unit positions on the designs would not work give their size and the size of the space given which was measured prior to the design being given, this caused us great concern and problems because not only would they not fit as per the design it meant we alone had to redesign the project our selves as the after care was not as described which also meant the pipe and fittings were in the wrong quantities to facilitate changing the design that wouldn’t work by LINDAB.
Numerous unanswered emails and calls led us to having to employ an installation team from another company to redesign and to install the system. This increased our costs 3.5k plus additional materials had to be purchased from the install company who equally pointed out the design given by Lindab would never have worked.
We then asked for the design sales rep to come out and meet us and the installer on site to discuss the issues we were facing, this was a reasonable ask given the situation but instead of agreeing to meet us and discuss, I received an email saying that she wasn’t going to come because she didn’t want to be in her words ‘blind sided’ I’m not to this day sure what that even meant. Lindab knew the design was bad, they knew we’d been misinformed and yet we were the ones blind siding them!!
What happened next… well I had to call to ensure that no blind siding was on the agenda and could we please arrange a site visit to discuss with me all of the materials we had that were incorrect and needed to be credited, for instance we had over 15 meters of large metal ducting delivered, endless amounts of clips and elbows etc that would never had been needed even if we were able to use their design, sorry FREE design as they keep reminding me of ( I interpret this as because it’s free it doesn’t have to actually work).
The rep came out, apologised for the insane experience we had commented that I doubt we’d ever use them again (Correct), and she said the items left would be credited and an agreed collection time to pick them up would be arranged. I commented we were going away to Italy for the next 2 weeks so it would need to be after this.
What LINDAB did was to trespass onto my property without agreement, gain access to my property without agreement or permission or actually even making me aware and took items that did not belong to them, items I had purchased from the install company along with all the second fix items needed to complete the install which I had purchased from Lindab. They left behind all of the items they should’ve have collected at an agreed time).
They then denied taking the second fix items and were still trying to bill be for them, given I was disputing the invoice their next step was not to rationally work this out, their next step was to send the bill to a debt collector who sent me an email with an additional £1000 added for non payment of a bill. The very same bill that was still charging me for items they had helped themselves to out of my house (just to be clear, we were not there at the time).
Totally shocked when they told me they had entered my property that I said you’ve essentially trespassed, entered a property without permission and lifted materials you are trying to charge me for through a debt collector with £1000 added.
I’ve reported this to the police and filed with them, I have asked Lindab to arrange to collect the goods that they should’ve collected but they will not collect and are making up fictitious statements saying they refuse to come and collect because they won’t have their staff intimidated by me! Never have I intimidated them. I now have kit I can’t store nor want.
They are the most unprofessional company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
I have paid everything I owe with regards to the materials I was able to use yet they are treating like this.
Do not use, honestly they are nice until you agree to use them in my experience.
They even had the nerve to call my installer to verify what we were saying about the issue with the design and asked them not to tell us they had called. What kinda company does that!
The response received that I have left on the wrong review account is very strange given the review is written under trust pilot Uk.
