I use this to keep and do all my collage work on, it means I can access it from anywhere and using the word web app I can edit everything on MS Word, from wherever I am! Really clear, uncluttered and no nonsense layout and 7GB of free storage is brilliant for my purposes.
I can't comment on any of the sharing features as I don't use them, but for anywhere access and editing of documents, Skydrive is absolutely awesome.
