I have delayed writing this review as I thought that the company will try and fix the issues with our new roof.
I have given one star rating, however if I could I wouldn't give any. Our experience with this company has been shocking! We had new roof fitted at the end of 2019, and soon after (around a month or two) after some heavy rain we had a massive leak into our bedroom and it turned out that there was issues with it around chimney. We had called Lomond and they have sent someone out, who sealed it around chimney and though that this would do the job. The roof continued to leak, however we were unable to get anyone in due to Covid. We also had issues around end of the roof, the tiles there started to come off a few times and we had to get Lomond guys to come out at least twice to fix. Again, the roof continues to leak, but they are refusing to come and fix it as its outside their 12 month workmanship warranty, which is insane given that the roof was never fitted properly and we had ongoing issues, which they know about.
Please avoid this company at any cost!

Scaffold up the Friday before the late May bank holiday, work started on the Tueday. Solar panels removed, roof stripped, new sarking on, covering membrane, slate battens done. On Wednesday, new tiles on and new flashing done, panels refitted and reconnected. Noone on site Thursday. On Friday, our front porch was renewed. My only niggle was the time it took to get the skip uplifted and the scaffold removed, which didn't happen until the following Thursday. Overall, a quick job well done.

Very professional straight from the salesman at the start to the clean up at the end. Excellent explanation of the product and what would be done. I asked for it to be done as soon as they could as I wanted it to be completed before I went back to sea, this was achieved with no fuss at all.
The guys who done my roughcasting were very professional, friendly and hard working. I have a decking with roof attached to property and they had to work around this. They went above and beyond what was required and worked very efficiently. Overall a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend this company.

I'm happy with our experience with Lomond Improvements. From the sales person, Lewis, Tom the foreman and his team, to Steven and office staff - all were helpful and considerate. Our roughcast renewal was performed to a high standard and looks fantastic.

This is my 2nd time writing my review on trust pilot because nothing has been done since my first message apart from a phonecall the next day after my last review to say someone will come out and have a look at my roughcasting and if we repair it will you take down your review, I never did because they have done NOTHING! Patchy roughcasting that is clearly noticeable, I agree that it can look patchy but this is very noticeable and looks odd. Guy came out to check it, (after my review) called me and agreed that it looked patchy under my bedroom window never heard from them again since. The roughcasting been up a year and 2 months yet I’m still having to pay monthly payments that have never been rectified!! So can I ask what are you’s going to do about it, am I stuck with this now??? Read my first review dated 14th February 2023 which explains this in more detail! I don’t seem to be getting anywhere so I will continue to leave reviews until you do something about it.

From initially seeing the advert on FB, I was a bit dubious to begin with. However, having made an enquiry an appointment with their salesman Billy was made. Billy took us through the whole process and explained everything. The work then took place a few weeks later. Chas and the others carried out the work in a very professional manner in 3 and a half days. We are delighted with the end product and our house looks like new. I have just received the 10 year guarantee certificate which gives me comfort. If asked, I would thoroughly recommend Lomond Improvements

work was done professionally and very quick the guyas just worked away for 4 days however the only point i would like to make is they do not clean up after themselves i has to get everything jet washed to tidy up

Lomond quoted and were very competitive in price. Shaun helped exposing the whole process making picking lomond an easy decision. From the survey to install was very quick. With stevie managing to get me a start date much sooner than I thought. the guys Chaz & Gary who done the job were outstanding doing it to a very high standard in only a couple of days. I am very happy with the work and would recommend them to anyone looking for roughcasting to be done. The 10 year warranty on the work is also great giving piece of mind 👍

I recently wrote a review about this company and to say I was unhappy about their customer service and care was the understatement , but today I received a call from Steve. He was following up the work done and to be honest I wasn’t too kind to him with my list of complaints and moans. He listened , took on board what I was saying and agreed with me. The salesman has moved on , good move and the other problems about after care are being addressed. If only the office staff had lifted a phone in the first place , a lot of this anger and upset could have been avoided. The roof itself I had no problem, it was a great job and the surveyor who signed it off said it was an excellent job. After speaking to Steve, problems resolved and faith in the company has been restored.

My list of complaints is far too long to write a full review. Just heartbreakingly awful experience. Eventually we signed off the work just so that we wouldn’t have to deal with Lomond any more and are paying actual professionals to clear up the mess. This company are charlatans.

Avoid at all costs.

Efficient scaffolding guys were superb. Very respectful to my gardens making sure all loose nails were picked up from the ground. Would definitely recommend this company. Thankyou 👍

Lomond Improvements

We’re always suspicious when someone doorsteps you trying to flog something. However our roof was leaking and I was going to look for a roofer in the new year, so I agreed to a salesman booking an appointment.
The guy that came round, Chris, was very knowledgeable, polite and friendly.

My intention was to get a quote and leave it at that. I had a figure in my head, so I knew what to expect. We both had a look in the loft and although I knew about the leaks he literally shone a torch on some others.

As expected, we got into the ‘hard sell’ territory and I started to think cowboys and Indians but Chris’s professionalism changed my preconceptions. We agreed on a price, which three months down the line I still think is fair.

Work started about two months later and I’m more than impressed with the quality of the work and the friendly demeanour of the men, John and Jock in particular.

The only negative comment is that I never knew when the guys would show up (we had some gaps due to inclement weather) and how many people would be on the job. It ranged from two (most days) to four. This inconsistency naturally drew the job out longer and I felt for John and Jock when they had to lift three and a half pallets worth of tiles up the ladder, without any extra bodies to help. Saying that the work was completed quickly and to a very high standard.

I’ve had to phone a couple of times because the scaffolding was still up, just over a week after completion, but this was due to a lorry being broken down and was no fault of Lomond Improvements.

To summarise, good job, done well at a fair price with top rate materials.

Would I use them again? Well, if I need a new roof on this house obviously not because I shouldn’t need to replace the roof in my lifetime. If it’s another house then I’d definitely give them a call.

Would I recommend them? Yes I would.

New roof in September 2022 , the skip was outside of my house for two weeks but not one slate went into it. Piled up in garden, tiles and nails everywhere, the skip was removed empty! Finally got that cleared only to get a leak which was reported in December. After many ignored calls and promises to call me back to get it sorted we are now coming up to April and I still have a bucket under the window, plaster ruined and still no word from Lomond improvements.
Avoid at all costs,

Got lomond in to do our rough casting. Choose them because they also done my sons new roof. So I knew what there work ethics were. Great experience from start to finish we were always kept up to date when work would start. Highly recommend this company.

Lomond were brilliant from the sales team straight through to the final product..my roof is 10/10..thanks so much..especially to Steve for doing such a fantastic job in organising the project....

Just had my new roof fitted by Lomond and from the very first conversation with their team we were greatly informed of every information we needed to use them to carry out the works. Everyone was so helpful from start to finish, the team helped me secure funding to get this project done in the comfort of my own home it was just all very comfortable and professional. The workmanship from the roofers was nothing short of perfection and they were very clean and tidy and left no mess. I know in the future I will probably be looking for my rough cast to get done and I will be a returning customer to Lomond. Exceptional service and thanks again
