Incompetent

For some reason they decided to make the 2026 Vitality 10k event information gated content on their app - so only accessible after signing in. They also decided to make accounts invite only. I wasn't sent a working account invite so was unable to find out my start wave, start time, even the start and bag drop location. After reporting this to their help desk a week before the event I still didn't have a working account invite the day before the start, despite several failed attempts by them to resolve it.

From looking at social media this affected many other runners. It's ridiculous that essential information is only available when signed into their app.

Refundable Registration NOT Refundable

I signed up for the 2026 Vitality 10K and despite paying £50 for my bib AND £5 for refundable registration, I was not entitled to a refund when I was too ill to race on the day. Despite providing them with evidence that my bib was not used and proof that I was granted sick leave from work the following day, this was not enough to qualify for a refund. I am out of luck because my illness did not warrant a trip to the hospital. As an avid runner that has taken part in the London Marathon, it is disappointing to know that the organisation is happy to take my £50 bib AND my £5 refundable registration for an event that I was not able to take part in. This experience will make me think twice about participating in LME events in the future.
