I Object to Being Lied to by Staff at Lumus Imaging

About seven years ago I received a steroid injection at this business. It was the most agonizing experience of my life, leaving me trembling in my chair for minutes afterwards from the shock of the experience. I believe the treating doctor forgot to add the needed anesthetic to the steroid, despite that the injection record states an anesthetic was used. Fast forward to last week, when I needed two steroid injections between my toes. With a vivid recollection of the previous experience, I made it clear to the receptionist at Lumus - (probably too much so), that I would take it further if I was subjected to similar treatment again. After a while she informed me by telephone that Lumus didn't do injections in certain parts of the body so I would have to obtain treatment elsewhere. I do not for a second believe that Lumus cannot do a steroid injection in a foot. What obviously happened is that the receptionist and treating staff colluded to create an excuse for not treating me. Basically they were covering their backsides. I can accept a straightforward refusal to provide the treatment, although that seems to me to conflict with medical ethics, but I cannot accept being lied to. It is obviously patently untrue that they couldn't do the injections, so fabricated a reason instead of being honest. Given the obvious lie, and the possible lie after the original injection, I don't trust the staff at this business anymore, so I must reluctantly go elsewhere in future for any treatment or imaging that I otherwise would have obtained from Lumus. Finally, I emailed Lumus' head office to complain about this situation, and received an acknowledgment but nothing subsequently. Apparently they either couldn't care less or have taken their receptionist's side and left it at that.
