Honestly I have always found the legal world rather scary, mostly due to lack of understanding and too much TV.
The thought of being put on the spot and answering lots of questions sounded horrific.
How wrong was I.
I was contacted by Clare at Lyon’s Davidson (Bristol)and was immediately put at ease. She was friendly ( a normal human being!) and had the ability to keep the conversation relaxed and flowing while getting the information she needed and remaining professional at all times.
She gave me confidence with her expert knowledge and experience. She answered my questions clearly, to the point with ease and in a way I could understand without feeling dumbed down.
Equally Clare had the patience of a Saint as at times she needed to repeat conversations over again as the weeks progressed and the situation evolved and changed its path.
It was clear that Clare worked very much as part of a team who communicated between each other on cases to ensure the best outcome was reached.
Clare’s communication was excellent . I was always well informed of any updates and felt very much up to date with all that was happening.
If I needed to email Clare she would reply very quickly and resolve issues quickly.
It was obvious through out that Clare really cared about outcomes and she nurtured us through some very difficult decision making by ensuring we had all the information we required to make an informed choice. I can’t thank Clare enough.
When it came to the “crunch time” Clare was so invested in our case that she was keeping me up to date beyond her office hours. This cemented my feeling as to how amazing she had been and how Clare had put us, her Clients first.

Absolutely appalling customer service! After complaining to supervisor then partner then complaints dept about no communication and then been apologised to and promised we would get replies to emails within the company's timeframe of 5days not the 5 weeks we had experienced we then don't get a response from our email sent last Tuesday! Appalling and if our insurer will change companies we will be asking them to do

Sophie made what was a terrible situation, following me being the victim of a road accident, as painless as she possibly could. She was professional, proficient and above all caring in all my dealings with her. Within a couple of days of the accident I was comforted to know that I was not going to have to complete lots of daunting official forms or be floundering around looking for help & support by myself.
She was always timely and efficient with correspondence and when we were almost at a point of being able to conclude the case I threw a curveball which delayed conclusion by many months. This did not phase her at all and she swung into action to move things forward and provide a satisfactory solution to my problem. Even when there was a threat of court action she was able to allay my concerns and I had complete faith in her advice and actions.

Lyons Davidson Solicitors proved to be experts in preparing a court hearing following a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) for which I was not blameworthy. From onset my point of contact was an Elizabeth Wardlow who not only kept me updated, but more importantly provided sound and impartial advice. I would not hesitate to recommend her services to anyone in a similar position to myself.

Received a threatening, demanding letter telling me they want £2000 in 7 days or I'm being taken to court, the inadequate operative who was named on the letterhead was on holiday when I tried to contact him/her/it. My insurance company had already actioned the payment 2 days earlier, the over zealous Lyons Davidson communication caused me
stress, upset and sleepless nights. I wonder if they realise what distress they cause by sending innocent people demanding, threatening, untrue letters.😡

I was invited to provide further information that might affect the prospects of my case. I responded promptly and was explicitly told my comments were under review and that I would receive further advice.

No follow-up ever came. Months later, my file was closed without any response to my questions or explanation.

Regardless of the legal merits, this fell well below a reasonable standard of communication and client care.

Overall experience and communication level provided by Tyrell Blake who took an effort even though our communication was via emails explained step by step what his argument was, that I didn't have any cause to question his decisions.

hi, my case handler was monika, i was rather nervous from the start of my claim as i have absolutely no computer skills and have no wifi in my house.
Not understanding a thing regarding legal disputes i totally relied on monika to guide me through each stage of my claim, and she often took the trouble to explain in more detail if i was not understanding properly, monika listened carefully to all of my questions and explained to me in simple easy to understand terms what my main chances were of securing a satisfactory outcome regarding my legal claim, basically monika held my hand and guided me through the whole process from start to finish, kindest regards and thanks to monika

Left us in the lurch! Lyons were contacted on the 9th of December to assist us in a legal matter for our court case on the 19th of January 2026. Told us 1 working day before that they wouldn't represent us and left us to represent ourselves subsequently we lost the court case due to not being legally trained. As you can imagine we are massively out of pocket and this could have been dealt with properly and we could potentially have won the case if we had had proper representation. So far their only comment is to offer us £50 compensation which is verging on insulting due to their negligence

They have customer portal but they dont actively use. so me a a claimant don know what to do next. no updates for the last 2 months. messages are being ignored. gathering evidence was already complete and yet the portal has no update and its stuck on that status for 2 months

The process overall does take time (as these cases do), but I felt supported throughout. I have no idea where to start, my case handler Sophie Miller has been nothing short but outstanding for the entire duration of my claim. She has constantly kept me updated, there was never a point where I felt in the dark, she was open and honest about the whole claim process and where in her professional opinion where she thought the claim was going to go. If I ever had any questions, I could email Sophie and she would reply to me usually within either the same day or at max a few days later. She always picked up her phone if I ever called and always made time to speak to me about me questions regardless of the fact she was likey very busy. She has worked tirelessly on my specific claim, arranging medical assessments, and liaising with third party companies for evidence, once she received the evidence she requested she always would phone me or send me a copy of documents so I knew where the case was progressing and what she had. My case went on for just short of two years, the fees that have been charged by Sophie for her time are extremely fair, and the sum of money that she had obtained for my successful claim is going to be a massive help to me. Words fail me for how thankful I am to Sophie and her colleague Oliver who have acted for me on this claim, and I would highly recommend her and this company to anybody who is looking to go through this process.
