I ordered a pair of shoes to the UK

I ordered a pair of shoes to the UK, but they turned out to be too small, so I needed to return them. The returns portal on their website doesn’t actually work for UK customers, which I only discovered after trying to use it.

When I contacted customer support, I was told I’d have to arrange the return myself using a DDP service. As a private customer, that’s either extremely expensive or simply not available. I haven’t been able to find any realistic way to send the item back.

I’m not expecting free returns, but I do expect a company to provide a workable and accessible returns process. At the moment, they seem set up to sell to UK customers, but not to support returns at all.

If you’re based in the UK, I would strongly advise against buying from this shop. I’d also suggest checking other reviews, as it seems I’m not the only one who has run into this issue.

Ordered a pair of shoes to the UK

Ordered a pair of shoes to the UK. The shoes are too small and I needed to return them. Went on their English returns portal which does not work for UK returns. Then emailed the company who informed me that I needed to figure out how to return the shoes DDP to them. Even non DDP services as a non-business customer are very expensive but I have not been able to find any courier who provides a DDP service for private customers. So now I am stuck with shoes that do not fit.
I don’t expect returns to be free but I do expect a business to at least provide you with a feasible way to return goods.

Do not buy from here. They won’t send you your shoes

I ordered a pair of shoes on preorder in late December due to be shipped on 28 January. 28 January rolls past and I hear nothing from customer services. After inquiring multiple times I was informed that that model had been delayed and that they were currently preparing my parcel. Two more weeks roll by and I hear nothing. I then email back to ask for a refund and that takes another week! Altogether nearly two months of waiting all for nothing. I do not recommend this business at all.

Beautiful shoes and fast service

Beautiful shoes, very good quality. Also, the sizing indication they give online is very accurate. I live in the Netherlands and their service was very fast and kind. Would recommend 10/10. Especially if you have narrow feet.

Beautiful and well crafted.

I discovered Odaje through Alice in Paris, a YouTuber who focuses on Parisian fashion, and I’m so glad I did. The shoes are not only beautiful but exceptionally well made. I’ve purchased about five pairs so far, and I’m continually impressed by the new designs they release. At this point, I can confidently say I’m a customer for life.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THE UK!

I made the mistake of ordering from the UK. They state "Free Shipping" and "Free Returns" though shipping does not include import taxes / customs, and free returns is only for orders from France!

To return will be very expensive as any duties also need to be prepaid with the already expensive shipping that I would need to cover the cost of. This is on top of the hassle of reclaiming import duties / customs that I paid to import it from HMRC.

I messaged them via website, multiple email addresses and WhatsApp 10 minutes after ordering to cancel my order, and they simply ignored it. 3 days later the order shipped.

In the end, I had to refuse the delivery from FedEx (three times!), and raise a case via Paypal to get my money back as customer service is does not respond.

Save yourself the headache!

Don't buy if you live outside of France

I bought a very expensive pair of boots that were too uncomfortable for me to then discover I couldn't return them. They don't cover returns outside of France and even if you cover the costs, you have to make sure it is you who pays for taxes and not them, which is basically imposible and very expensive for an individual. I now have to keep them and resale them for a fraction of the price. I would never buy from them again. They told me this information in on their website, but like any normal person, I didn't read all the small print who knows where on the website.

We were greeted very warmly by Desiree, who proceeded to be very professional, helpful and offered comfort suggestions. Desiree quickly brought a new pair of the shoe I had chosen which were perfect. She informed me of the Tax refund and how to apply at the train station. An added bonus to Odaje was their recycle ethos, which is very ingenious. Overall my experience at Odaje was perfect, I love my shoes.

Haven't received my order

Ordered a product 14 days ago and, although the delivery was set to 1-3 business days, the pack still didn’t arrive. Seems like it got held at the shipping company and not leaving from there, but I am not sure why. I tried contacting the company multiple times through all their channels and didn’t get any feedback yet. This was the first time I ordered there and I;m afraid I'm not getting my shoes or my money back.

Lack of customer support and issues with delivery

Ordered a product 12 days ago and, although the delivery was set to 1-3 business days, the pack still didn’t arrive. I would not advise ordering from the UK

I would not advise ordering from the UK. It's not clear on their website but they won't cover any returns fees. You have to email to make a return, customer service told me they couldn't do anything about it (it took them a long time to respond) then I had to pay £12 to return the order myself. Of course if it was clearly stated returns were to the purchaser's expenses I would have not placed any orders. They received my return but still no news from them and no refunds in sights.

I bought shoes for £200, I returned them, tracked return, received by them on 30th May, still no refund. Really disappointed.

Wrongful delivery without problem solved!

Update: After a month of late backs and forths, today the problem was finally solved, with the best way Odaje could do for a client. So, I have edited my review for a better ranking.

No customer service AT ALL! I have ordered from the site a pair of shoes within the EU (Greece), paid €161 and I received a completely different model and wrong number of shoes, in fact they have sent me cheaper sandals that cost in the site €145, and which I never ordered! And now I am trying to contact Odaje to fix their mistake and no one responds to my various e mails and calls! The return button in Odaje site says that this is not available for my country, despite the fact that a leaflet in the shoe box says that returns are available.
