My experience with Magnet's sales and installation process was extremely disappointing. The kitchen itself is satisfactory, but there are plenty of other suppliers offering comparable products with perhaps better customer service.

Here's what went wrong:

After I signed the contract and paid the deposit, the price increased because the sales assistant had forgotten to include several items. My kitchen design had not changed.
After I paid the balance in full, the installer refused to connect one of the appliances and did not sand or oil the wooden worktop, despite this being part of the agreed service.
Obtaining a refund for the services that were not delivered took several months and required me to repeatedly chase the store for updates.
Several small items were missing, and one door was supplied in the wrong colour. Due to poor communication from the store, it took six months to receive the replacement door, and I had to collect it myself.
The final straw was when I went to collect the replacement door and the remaining small items. The store's storage area was so disorganised that staff claimed they couldn't find my items. I was simply told to come back another day, wasting another two hours of my time and additional travel costs. When I asked whether they could instead deliver the missing touch-up pen, the manager replied, "We don't do things that way here." It felt like I was expected to bear the consequences of their mistakes.

In short, if you choose Magnet, I would strongly recommend getting every promise and quotation in writing rather than relying on verbal assurances. I would also seriously consider using an independent installer instead of Magnet's installation service.

We have had our new kitchen from magnet Leicester and had a great experience. Jon Allen from the Leicester showroom really helped and guided us and nothing was too much trouble when we wanted to make changes to the initial design. The rest of the team was also great and always helpful. I would absolutely recommend magnet for new kitchens.

Went back into the Galashiels branch to get an idea for internal doors. Ryan Mann (Sales) was very good and gave us a brochure away to help.

We bought a kitchen over the winter 2026 in magnet Wimbledon and we chose magnet after having gone through all the other main shops ( Wickes, B&q, wren, etc). We chose magnet for various reasons one was for the exceptional service we received from one of their employees Santa Astrauskaite. We had an appointment with the branch to go through what we thought we wanted. She spent around 2 hours with us, patiently listen to what we dreamed our kitchen to be and then drawing that dream on the computer. Exactly as we wanted it with extra modern features that she added on her own interpretation of our ideal kitchen and all of this within our very low budget. She gave us idea on how to make our ideas fit into out budget with small tweaks here and there. She made sure our quote was no more than what we asked and followed us throughout all the process. Came home herself, took the measurements and then adjusted the project a little bit to make sure all was done properly. When the kitchen was fitted in from our own builders and they had made a mistake she called us immediately and discussed with us what we could do at that point. Overall we could not be any happier and we have our kitchen for around 6 months now and it's just as beautiful as day one! Thank you ❣️

I cannot recommend Dan Jones at Magnet Kitchens, Sheepscar, Leeds highly enough. From the very first appointment Dan was incredibly knowledgeable, patient and listened to what I wanted. He took the time to design my new kitchen with such care and attention to detail, offering helpful advice and great ideas while always making sure it reflected my vision. Dan has been amazing throughout the entire process, nothing was too much trouble and was always there to answer any questions or concerns that I had. Thanks to Dan, I now have my long awaited dream kitchen, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Myself and my Husband are truly grateful for all his support. Thank you Dan for your outstanding service. Amazing. Won’t hesitate in recommending you and Magnet to anyone who needs a truly beautiful new kitchen. Thanks again.

This is my third Magnet kitchen over the last 40 years in three different properties I’ve lived in. Every kitchen has withstood the test of time. My latest one was again from the St Austell branch of Magnet where Jack & Ross were so helpful in helping me to design what I could fit into the area I had. I was kept informed on delivery dates & the ready assembled units were delivered on the day & time given. A slight tweak on one of the units was organised by Jack & a different unit was exchange within a few days so as not to hold up the fitting. I also purchased the integrated white goods & I am also very pleased with those. The St Austell showroom had a good selection to view & the staff are so friendly, welcoming & helpful & will work around your budget, nothing was rushed. I also liked that you can sign into your Magnet account & view your order, send & receive messages about you order with a good response time.

After considering products from other manufacturers in the Plymouth area (including Wrens) we found the kitchens offered by Magnet to be of superior quality. In addition the Senior Kitchen Designer David was extremely experienced and patiently discussed several changes to our design with no pressure for a sale. In fact all the staff in the Plymouth branch were friendly and helpful whenever we went in and we would 100% recommend Magnet for kitchens to friends and family in the future.

From Charlie in Magnet everything has been perfect always in contact with James and a pleasure working with Charlie the purchase went smoothly, thanks Charlie.

As for James and his team, what a team everybody turned up and we’re sitting on my drive before 8 O.Clock every day. The first contractor to arrive on time in Gloucester.

The work has been excellent, James and his team are professionals and covered every small detail, sorry to see them go.

From start to finish the service at Magnet was excellent. We appreciated the personal service from Alice and the team as well as Jim and his team of fitters. When minor things needed organising or attending to through the design and fitting process someone was always on hand to take care of everything. Thanks to everyone for a great experience.

We chose Plymouth branch for our kitchen because of David . He has so much knowledge about it all . He was a real help , any problems were solved really quickly. He was a great help and top notch service . I’m loving my new kitchen , thanks Dave .

Charlie Burgess in the Gloucester retail park store was incredibly helpful in assisting me with my design and listening to what we required. I wouldn’t hesitate to use her again when we need more working undertaken.

Our experience was because when we first walked through the door there was no ‘hard sell’, which we really appreciated. The staff just left us be, they were there if we needed them. We eventually chose our kitchen, then arranged to have a’design’ appointment. Throughout we were looked after by Paulina and Cameron from the Crewe branch, Cheshire. They were so helpful, friendly and approachable. This is very rare for me to do a review but for recognising these 2 colleagues, they deserve a special thank you.
