Zero customer service

Almost all of the filament I have gotten from these guys has been great, but I got one spool where the color got very inconsistent halfway through the roll. I sent them an email and got no response. A few weeks later I sent them another email and still no response, so my problem isn’t with their product as much as their lack of customer service. I’ve since moved on to a better supplier with better quality, service, and prices.

Makeshaper is the absolute worst…

Makeshaper is the absolute worst plastic filament we have ever tried.
I am the owner of 3D Scribble, one of the largest FDM print farms in the the east bay San Francisco area.
We print nearly 50kg of plastic each day so I feel safe in telling you we have tried most plastics on the market. As I don't know exactly how they extrude their filament, all I can tell you is my opinion.

We ordered $1000 of plastic as a test.
The order was delivered 4 weeks later.
(Big red flag)

Within 2 hours of loading our printer pods with MakeShaper PLA nearly every machine had a problem. Most of the problems were heat break freezes and nozzle clogs. In my opinion the plastic they shipped us had so many impurities that the melt temperature was 20-30C below spec.

Many of the rolls bonded the filament to itself in the filament pre-heaters (90-100F)

The first layer adhesion was awful. I don't know why, but it would not bind well to PEI sheets.

Nearly 3/4 of the order was sealed in plastic bags without any vacuum.

I called/emailed the company multiple times to discuss the situation.

After a dozen calls and six weeks later.
I finally got a call back from a young women who told me that if UPS opened the plastic bags that they were not responsible.

After asking her a couple questions about the plastic, she got flustered and said "I don't know, I am from the furniture division"

She told be to send another email.

Lesson learn:
DON'T BUY PLASTIC FILAMENT FROM A FURNITURE COMPANY.
