DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY – IT IS BOGUS

The published phone number is permanently unreachable. Emails sent to the published email address are routinely ignored. The published company number isn’t even their own, it is fake and belonged to a car business in Birmingham that has been dissolved.

This business takes customers' money and then refuses to follow distance selling regulations and the legal 14 day "cooling off period". The company tries every dirty trick to get around the rules and deduct fees.

It is a bogus company hiding behind a plethora of other bogus companies such as: Makesure Holiday Insurance, Makesure Travel Insurance, Makesure Insurance Services Limited, GoodToGo Insurance, Ancile Insurance Limited, Ancile Insurance Group Limited. Good luck trying to contact any one of these businesses, most of the phone numbers either don’t work, instantly hang up, or are expensive premium rate. Emails are ignored.

I found Makesure Insurance Services Limited to be a mixed bag. Their premiums are competitive and the website is user-friendly. However, when it came to a claim, the process took months, with poor communication and repetitive document requests. They paid out a minor sum, which didn’t fully resolve my issue.

If I could give minus stars I would

Poor communication right from the start

Lost documents 4 or 5 times

Ended up paying out £20 for a cancelled flight that cost £200

Had reason to claim due to cancellation, all handled professionally and very prompt payment given
You judge insurance by claims and this company could not be faulted. Will probably renew for the next year. First class service.

First time I bought travel insurance with this company. I haven’t travelled yet but was a good price compared to other travel companies

Link in email reminder was broken. Website did not have a "renew" option had to start new quotation although 10 % discount for renewing was applied.
Other than that it was fine although 65% price increase from last year disappointing

The second year of annual travel insurance and a very good level of cover for a very reasonable price.

Makesure provided a very competitive quote for travel insurance with a medical condition. The cover was more generous than quotes from an insurance comparison website. When I rang with a query the assistant was very helpful. I will use them again.

Renewed our travel insurance over the phone the lady was very helpfull.

Insurance is easy to buy, it's when you come to claim is when you find out how good it is!

Good insurance company and good pricing and coverage but a bit of a pain when renewing as details are not held and you have to start a new quote from scratch.
