I am beyond frustrated with Makro…

I am beyond frustrated with Makro Netherlands and would strongly advise anyone to steer clear of this company. I placed an order on 27 August 2025, and after waiting over a week, I received an email claiming my item had been delivered. It never arrived. When I contacted customer service, it took multiple attempts to even get a response, only for them to admit the item had never left their store in the first place. Every interaction with their customer service has been a nightmare. Each time, they claim my query has been "passed to the concerned department," but I never hear back. It’s as if my complaints vanish into a black hole. After weeks of chasing, they finally asked if I wanted a refund or a reshipment. I chose to have the item sent again, hoping for a resolution, but this led to yet another spiral of empty promises and zero communication. As of today, 11 September 2025, I still have no news about my order, and the item remains undelivered. Makro’s incompetence is staggering. The complete lack of accountability, responsiveness, and basic customer care makes this the worst company I have ever dealt with. Save yourself the stress and shop elsewhere.

Solid quality.

DRAMA DRAMA and once again DRAMA!!
don't buy anything because you don't buy from Makro but from external companies that Makro has no influence on!!!! I bought a fridge and what? AND I DIDN'T GET IT!!! and why? I don't know, now the dramatic search begins where it is!

I won't even mention that today is 12-08-2024 and I still don't know where my BOUGHT and PAID fridge is, because it's definitely not at my house!!!

As I see you waited until the end for it to be delivered, congratulations on the delivery time which was almost two weeks!!!

I don't have it at home yet, and pray to God that the courier brings this fridge in one piece, not damaged or scratched, because I think I'll go crazy!!!

Worst service and no overview of invoices!

Following a sales meeting during which Makro showcased their impressive delivery system, I find myself in a situation where I am still awaiting invoices and a comprehensive overview of the deliveries. Despite a span of five months, where I have actively addressed this issue, Makro has yet to provide any information regarding my order history or issue invoices. To my dismay, they have now resorted to involving a collection agency instead of addressing my concerns. This experience has undoubtedly been the epitome of poor company service. Even my bookkeeper, who sought an overview, has been met with a lack of cooperation and information from Makro.

How do they expect me to pay invoices when they have never issued them to me? Not via their portal or via the email address we agreed upon with their sales meeting.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful! I understand that you have been hacked (not customers problem) however, the “discount” that is being offered is ridiculous low. I will give you some examples. Today, Makro Amsterdam I have bought bolognese sauce (6,99 euro- note no sale or discount, that is the price) at the cashier I have payed 8,75 for 1 bag. The difference in price is huge. When tried to let them know that the price is wrong, and for me is 100% fraud, is very easy to say that the systems are not working because have been hacked. No, has nothing to do because that was always the price, no sale and nothing. Nonetheless, feta cheese exactly the same (and I found out before even being hacked or having system issues). The difference in prices between different locations is also really odd. Nonetheless, when asked the managers at the shop is literally “the system says error” and very rude and not even listen to you. Shameful
