Ordering was easy through the company’s site and the offers were reasonable priced. Placed my order and was given a delivery date by a company that they use, but delivery was delayed for 24 hrs from the date given. I was concerned that the meat would not be edible because of the delay and contacted the seller who replied and said my order was ok for around 50 odd hours. Meat arrived and was well packed and still fresh so would definitely recommend.

I am on the carnivore diet, eaten alot of Steak in my time 😋 I was ready hoping this steak was of good quality! And I'd found my new supplier, But its just not, very disappointed.
From ordering to delivery fantastic, packed well, meat look good, I have just cooked 1 filet and 1 serlion within the first 10mins of delivery.. this is where the disappointment starts! All i could taste was liver! Filet steak is what i eat all the time, I have tried every supermarket you can think of, never have i had a livery taste ever. I could not eat it. My dogs loved it (I always cook them one each) they will be having the rest of them I'm sorry to say.
I agree with the other comments on here there is definitely a funny smell coming from them. Once cooked the smell had gone tho.
From what I know a fillet steak can taste like liver because of high myoglobin levels, extended wet-aging in vacuum packs, or a lack of intramuscular fat (marbling).
This could be the reason why it livery! storage issue! Wonder how long they have been vacuum packed. I can not stand liver so won't be eating them or ordering again.

A stronger, mineral-like flavour can sometimes occur naturally in beef because of variations in myoglobin, maturation and the leanness of the cut. It does not necessarily indicate a storage issue, and all our meat is handled, packed and stored under strict food-safety controls. A slight odour can also occur when vacuum packaging is first opened and should dissipate after the meat has been exposed to air for a short time.
Nevertheless, we take concerns about quality very seriously.

Within two days of ordering, I received my box of top quality meat. Steaks are amazing both beef and pork, and the tomahawk was the best I have ever tried. Defiantly order again.

Great experience. Easy to order with good offers. Communication regarding delivery was spot on. Meat received with ice packs and still cold on receipt with no issues. Steaks were delicious. We had fillet and sirloin. Will definitely be ordering again

Massive let down
Massive let down first order all 20 steaks massively under weight, complained had to send back to be checked , I can only presume you get lots of issues , you acknowledge that my order was in fact massively underweight , what are your butchers doing ?
Second order arrived in replacement and it’s of poor quality , I can’t be dealing with your poor service and product hence the review .

I made an order for products. I had a scam email saying they tried to deliver, but there was no one in. I was asked to pay for a redelivery. I was shocked as I was at home. I contacted the farm by email asking if they had tried to deliver. They advised me not to click any link and definitely pay any money. Michael told me that he was looking at my order which was ready to be shipped. It arrived on time and delivered directly to myself early next morning. Perfect packaging, beautiful steaks. Melts in your mouth and very tasty. Excellent customer service. I totally recommend you give Malpas Farm Shop a try. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks again Michael.

Great experience. First time ordering won’t be the last either. Ordered Friday afternoon received Tuesday morning. Very well packed very quick delivery. Got steak pack with free tomahawk fantastic value amazing quality and absolutely delicious. Best part for me though was knowing the slaughter method. Would highly recommend this company.

Absolutely first class meat
Absolutely first class meat, I have had tomahawk, T bone, sirloin steaks plus wagu and normal burgers and sausages and I can honestly say every product has been superb, and great value for money, you would pay nearly double at my local butchers and the meat would not be no where near as good.

Quick delivery
The meat pack was delivered quickly but looked little like the promotional photographs.
The fillet steaks were very odd cuts whereas the photograph implied almost centre cut steaks.
Likewise the medallions looked like flat beef cuts rather than the centre cut photographs promoting the packs.
I tried a fillet and it was okay, nothing special. More Lidl than butchers! Don't think we'll use again.

I ordered a caveman 60oz stead a 420oz…
I ordered a caveman 60oz stead a 420oz tomahawk some chops bacon and gamon steaks. It cost me over £100 which is a lot for me. It turned up and i put the bacon and caveman in the fridge. The rest went in the freezer. I was very excited to cook my steak and lit my bbq ready for the sear. I opened the steak and there was a punjent fishy vomit smell. I cooked it hoping that it would be ok but the meat was rancid. I contacted the farm and they asked me to send the rest of the meat back which i did. They gave me a refund minus the bacon which we had eaten. Very disapounted and couldnt trust their meat. Wouldnt recomend and deffo wouldnt use them again myself. Somehow spent £20 on a pack of bacon.

We believe the exceptionally warm weather may have affected one particular item within your order. As a precaution, however, we treated the matter as though the entire order may have been affected. For both your safety and to allow us to investigate fully, we immediately arranged for all of the remaining products to be returned to us.
You chose to receive a refund rather than replacement products, and we processed that refund promptly upon receipt of the returned goods. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to put matters right.
The only item not refunded was the pack of bacon, as this had already been consumed and you advised us that you were very happy with it.
Although the caveman steak had already been disposed of and therefore could not be examined, we did thoroughly inspect every other product that was returned. None of those items showed any evidence that they had been affected, suggesting that if there was an issue, it was isolated to the caveman steak itself. Unfortunately, as that particular item had already been disposed of, we were unable to carry out an inspection of it.
We’re sorry that you experienced this issue, but we’re pleased we were able to resolve the matter promptly in accordance with your wishes.

The steaks I received were brilliant for the price. I started with the fillet steak and this was so tender once cooked. I also ordered sirloin steak I have not cooked this yet but as a retired chef I can see the quality and the thickness of the steak it’s going to be good
