From time to time, like all retailers, we do unfortunately encounter items going out of stock unexpectedly. Whilst we appreciate this is frustrating, we did immediately process a refund for the unavailable items as soon as your order was dispatched.

In relation to the sirloin steaks, we are genuinely disappointed to hear your comments, as this is a product that receives enormously positive feedback from the vast majority of our customers. We would very much have welcomed the opportunity to discuss your concerns directly and try to resolve the issue for you. However, from what we can see, we haven’t received any direct contact regarding the steaks themselves.

We always encourage open dialogue with our customers because customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. Whilst occasional issues can arise with any company, we are always very keen to investigate concerns and do everything we reasonably can to put matters right.

It sounds like you put together an amazing feast there. The short bone tomahawks are always a real showstopper, but we’re especially pleased to hear the Chinese chicken thighs stole the show. They’ve become a huge favourite with so many of our customers.

We also really appreciate you mentioning the packaging and insulation. A great deal of care goes into making sure our parcels arrive in optimal condition, so it’s fantastic to hear the ice pack was still frozen on arrival.

We are, however, very sorry to hear about your experience with the courier deliveries. We absolutely understand your frustration, particularly given the weight of the parcels and the importance of having sufficient time to answer the door. Whilst the vast majority of DPD deliveries are carried out excellently, we completely appreciate your concerns regarding the occasions where the parcel has been left too quickly on the doorstep and we are actively engaging with DPD to help improve that.

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that this particular order did not meet your expectations in the same way as your previous experiences have. As all beef is a natural product, there can inevitably be variation in fat content, marbling, and overall appearance from one animal to another and from cut to cut. Having reviewed the photographs sent through, we do stand by the advice provided that the fat covering and marbling shown were completely normal for the cuts supplied. In fact, the steaks photographed looked excellent and very much in keeping with what many customers specifically look for in well flavoured beef.

That said, we do completely appreciate that personal preference varies considerably. Some customers prefer heavier marbling and fat coverage for flavour and tenderness, whilst others understandably prefer a much leaner finish. We offer a wide variety of cuts and specifications to suit different preferences and we are always more than happy to guide customers towards leaner options where requested.

We are, of course, disappointed that this order did not align with your personal preference, particularly as you have previously enjoyed orders from us, and we do genuinely appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
