Prompt friendly knowledgable service with my employment settlement agreement
Continuous paperwork errors. Still unresolved incorrect land registry documentation provided by this solicitor 10 month later. Very poor customer service and overal experience during purchase of property.
I’ve never known a company take so long to sort out a house move yes there was a few problems but it is now 6 months and still no keys all party’s involved in the move are totally fed up I would never recommend you
We had an appointment to make our wills and our solicitor was extremely helpful explaining what needed to be done, asking us questions on how we wanted our estates divided amongst the family.
Can't recommend them any less.
From day one we have had nothing but stress from Marshall Hall Levy.
We originally went with Berkeley Legal group but they passed us on to these carefree clowns.
After a few weeks of nothing, we found out that Vicki, who had been assigned to us, had gone on maternity leave and hadn't communicated our case to the next person.
Every stage to the last has been like pulling teeth, constant chasing of these people for every little detail.
Kimberley Hall finally replaced Vicki and her attitude to us has been nothing less than contemptuous. Emails are short and sharp or not at all and we are at the stage as I write this, where she only has to send one email back to the other sides solicitors and we can exchange the keys. Still has to be chased for that.
Never use these people!
We were referred to MHL by our estate agent during our purchase process.
They were useless from day one. We never once spoke or heard from our actual conveyancer. All her work was passed through a paralegal who did her best but seemed like the only person who was ever allowed to have any communication with the outside world (and was the only person who did any work by the feel of it).
The paperwork was wrong: wrong address and wrong sale price. When we flagged it they didn't even bother sending out a corrected version. We were told to just amend it and initial it in pen before signing. We had two postcodes at the address and were just told to pick whichever one we fancied and it wasn't an issue (by comparison, within 2 weeks of moving to our new conveyancer she had contacted land registry and fixed the issue).
We withdrew our LISA in anticipation of a sale which was then held up. Our money sat in MHL's account for weeks while I chased and chased for it to be sent back to our LISA provider within the 90 day window it was permitted. They would rarely pick up the phone or reply to emails. The 1 in 5 times I did get through, I'd be told that our conveyancer was working from home but our case was right at the top of her pile...
The LISA was eventually paid back over a week later than the 90 day deadline. Thankfully the provider accepted it without additional cost after I'd spent much of the previous month explaining how bad our conveyancer was and pleading with them to find alternative ways of extending or waiving any penalties and/or to push for the money back from their end.
We ended up following their complaints process and sent a formal complaint to the MD who simply didn't reply.
After this we decided to pull the plug and move our case across to a much more competent outfit. We told the estate agent who then let us know that she'd pulled it from her list of preferred suppliers due to how useless they had been with other cases as well.
please see the previous review i wrote about nightmare experience I had with them. The personal involved in my case, named John Webster and Laurie Meeks. Upon dropping my case , Laurie sent me an email saying that they were terminating the conveyancing service ( the reason was due to my friend being aggressive, arguably!). however, they would refund my engagement fee.
I have since written 5 emails to this company for the money, but have been ignored again and again. This demonstrates how bad it is! I have not received my money at the time of writing review.
I have never encountered solicitors of this calibre, the worst ever no client interest and no professionalism, I would never recommend them to anyone and advise everyone to stay away from them, they are nothing but stress!!!!
I was also signed up to Berkeley Legal Group for conveyancing service in Feb this year. My case was also delegated to one of their sub-group law firm called Marshall Hall Levy by a lady called Jane Green who constantly harassed me to pay a deposit but stopped communicating when I was not getting any acknowledgement from Marshall Hall Levy. They did not acknowledge my case and never updated me and continued to ignore my emails. Thank god I paid using my credit card I am looking to claim back my money via a chargeback. PLEASE PEOPLE AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
I was signed up to Berkeley Legal Group for conveyancing service in Feb this year. Little did I knew, my case was delegated to one of their sub-group law firm called Marshall Hall Levy. They did not acknowledge my case and never updated with me after I signed and paid part of the fee. I thought I was scammed one stage. As anxious as i was I asked my friend's help, who rang John Webster, the lawyer and his assistant Laurie Meeks on my behalf while I was busy working for NHS. To my shock, I received an email from Laurie Meeks on that day, saying they would not deal with my case any more because my friend was aggressive to them on the phone. My friend used to work in high position in a company. He is used to be assertive with his telephone manner. But he is highly educated man but not aggressive and rude person by nature as I know him for many years. All in all, they dropped my case on this ground ( my friend being rude to them) after WASTING FIVE WEEKs of precious time! What's more, they have NOT refunded the fee they said they were going to so far after 3 time asking in the past 2 months. In general, my experience tells me, they are very unprofessional, self-regulated, to the extent of childish behaviour. They have no sense of client care or obligation.
There is no concept of customer services please donot waste your time and money .
No one picks up fone and i have to wait 14 days for reply on email , please dont lose money like me .
