Deposit stealers! I lived in 45 Claremont Place with this estate agents and when we left we got a £3500 quote for damages. I looked at all of this and where a few were reasonable, the vast majority were either false or grossly exaggerated. When I questioned this the landlord himself demanded the full deposit and otherwise threatened us with court without so much as a discussion. They knew that as young adults/students we are not within the financial point to risk court and had to concede but I made very clear my opinion on what has been happening. So all in all whatever you do, avoid this company and specifically this house, especially as a student or a not so wealthy individual as they seem to prey on the weak!

Received an amazing fast service. They always attend call and very quick to answer calls and emails. We love the company indeed and their service. Thank you Rachel and William for helping us effectively and efficiently. We would say they are an asset indeed for Martin & Co.

I have been a landlord with Martin & Co for over 10 years and have always received helpful and courteous service. Recently Dean has been extremely diligent and conscientious in resolving issues with another landlord and letting agent. I am very grateful to him and his team.

Since the new team took over - Dean (Manager) and William - the Canterbury office has been really good. I was a tenant for 18 months and saw a dramatic improvement with them in place. They knew I was a responsible tenant who kept the apartment in good order and they treated me with respect. When I had a shattered window pane in the apartment, they were very helpful and responsive and sorted the whole thing out.

Before them, I'm afraid the team was not that good. The staff had a bit of an 'attitude problem' and did not go out of their way to help.

The good news is that things have changed for the better under the new manager. The whole culture is different and the people are very friendly and efficient.

I can recommend Martin & Co Canterbury.

We were shown around the property with Megan who seemed very nice, but did most of our interactions with William. He was excellent and patient with us as we are first time renters. He always made us feel like there were no silly questions and that he was available for us to contact whenever we needed.

Was shown a place by a lovely lady called Megan. Viewing was arranged very quickly after my showing interest.
Then went on to deal with Will who was absolutely brilliant. Went the extra mile to smooth any bumps in the road and saw me through the whole process brilliantly. Can’t fault them.

I recently leased a property through Martin & Co, and I must say that Megan and William were absolutely exceptional. Megan played a crucial role in making the entire process incredibly seamless. Her responsiveness and approachability made it easy to get in touch with her whenever needed.

William was also highly efficient in handling the reference checks, ensuring a swift and hassle-free experience. Together, they were both attentive to ensuring that I could move into my new property as planned. As a result, I am now happily settled in my new home and couldn't be more satisfied with it.

I recently rented a second property from Martin & co. Megan has been fantastic. She made the process really smooth. She is responsive if you need to contact her, as well as approachable.
William was also great & dealt with the references swiftly. Even though there was delays on my end, he was really attentive to make sure I was in the new property for the intended date.
I do think it makes a huge difference having a great landlord now too. Much happier with the property I am in now.
