Never had a worse experience with a delivery company than Matkahuolto. In the past month we have had 3 parcels being delivered with them and each time they claim to have attempted a delivery, which is a complete lie. Each time someone was home and the doorbell did not ring, the doorbell works perfectly because Posti delivered another parcel using it just fine.
Avoid using this terrible delivery service at all costs.

I would give zero stars if the option were available.
My package was marked as delivered to the stated address. My building's reception has no record of it arriving. When I attempted to resolve this, I discovered that the customer service infrastructure is, to put it charitably, non-functional: the chatbot cycles through irrelevant scripts and closes the conversation without resolving anything, there is no email address available for contact, and both listed phone numbers are unallocated.
A delivery company whose core promise is delivering parcels, and which provides no viable means of recourse when that promise is not met, has failed at both its primary function and its basic customer service obligations.

delivery package, automatic box delivery are working only with Bluetooth and dedicated app, so if you do not have the app or Bluetooth you could not pick up the delivery. Even more, the delivery was agree with the sender home delivery. i wrote 3 times a mail to ask to move my delivery to pick up point with human service .... no ant reply, i will loose the delivery.

I was about to travel so i want to receive package in friday and on app it showed package will be delivered that day but later they moved to monday saying not free space available. I emailed them earlier requesting that if possible deliver early they deliberately moved to monday. If someone wants to receive package earlier they should keep in priority then other who doesnot care about delivery time.
This company is a total mess
This company is a total mess; all my packages were left in their Kamppi storage place in Helsinki instead of even trying to deliver it to the my home address area which is several km far from Kamppi.
Of course it is better for them if the customer comes to pick up their items instead of using any company resources.

I was expecting a parcel from the USA to Finland.
Everything went well until a local courier, Matkahuolto, delivered it as far as our nearest large town. The courier held it there for a long time, and the courier’s app said that they had informed me twice about the incoming delivery. I never received emails or text messages from them, and the parcel never came to our town.
After a long time waiting for delivery, they sent me a message that “As the consignment could not be delivered to the recipient on time, we returned it to the sender.”
I tried to contact them to rearrange the delivery, but it was not possible to get in touch with them. Even if I made a new order, there is no guarantee that this behaviour would not happen again.
Incidentally, I was informed that all returned parcels are destroyed.
Maybe in future I should restrict ordering to sellers which have their own delivery service.

Instead of sending my parcel to my local post office as has been standard for decades they send me an email (in finnish only, so my eyes glossed over it and thought it was the standard we have sent your parcel here is the tracking code).
But instead they have changed how they work and now I have to actively go in and select that I want my parcel delivered to my post office (I selected this in the checkout of the shop!!!!!) and when I failed to notice this they sent it to a place 30km away from me instead and I never got an SMS saying the package was waiting.
Now I am told the parcel has been returned because I haven't collected it!

Matkahuolto lost package and literally lied about package delivery to parcel point. Support just told me that I should be patient and wait message because parcel alredy in parcel point. But parcel point told me that they don't see any parcels from Matkahuolto today... Outrageous lie from Matkahuolto

They ask for a preferred delivery time and don't turn up , some poor excuse about leaving my packages at the depot, like it's my problem someone is too lazy to load the vehicle. Then I arrange a new time a week later they don't turn up again.
I'm still waiting , no message to say sorry or when it might come just silence. I ring customer service then 20 mins of elevator music and no answer

My parcel arrived but I didn’t receive the phone message unlike how other companies always send me notifications through both email and phone messages. But from matkahuolto I only received the reminder today that I can still get it until tomorrow, just when I’m away for 2 days. Ofcourse I didn’t think being out of the town for 2 days would hurt me since usually I’ve several days to pick up packages after they arrived. I’ll pay some amount to extend the storing time but it’s annoying that I have to pay extra when I could’ve picked up the package if i knew it earlier. I’ve gotten parcels from Matkahuolto before and I know that they would send you the text message as a reminder only and mainly send you email of the arrival. And it wouldn’t be problem if I don’t travel around. But just now when I made 5 different orders through different delivery companies, only package from Matkahuolto were about to get away from me. I’m not satisfied and find this system quite poor compared to other.

Try not use this company, indifference and mess, lack of support. Ordered via this company parcel, courier just make one phone call, after 2 minute I'm calling back, didn't pick up phone and decided send my parcel to pick up point in 40km away, I'm living in Lapland, far away, for me this is critical point. But who care in this company?

Hello. I was buying bus ticket trough this company. They have a carousel of system instead of just looking at the calendar for selecting dates. I know I selected a particular date, but when i was about to pay they payment froze and bounced back. It showed as it didn’t go through I pressed pay again only to have a look at my bank account where I have been charged twice and worst of all it’s not the date I selected. I got In touch with the company and expressed my concern and asked if all can be refunded. She said ok and she was very polite. I check my account and they have only refunded me one ticket not two of them. And the system wasn’t even showing I have two tickets same day same time. I have written to them again to request a refund and I’m not hopeful. I red the T&Cs and it looks like I’ll be getting nothing more than Iv got probably even lucky to get refunded one of the tickets. Bad way to do business.

The most horrible service I have ever had. My parcel from Shein was sent to Finland at the beginning of December. It have been delivering by Matkahuolto for the first time, I was happy at first cause their points really suit me well. Then I received the message that my parcel is in the point near my house (10 dec). Okay. I was really shocked when I opened the box, but there was NOT MINE parcel, lol. It was -15 in my city. I spent 30 mins calling the support outside, then no one answered. I decided to chat with the service. Fortunately a girl answered and asked me to deliver this another person's parcel by myself to Posti office (around 5 km from me). Okay I am not a bad person, I delivered it (I hope this man is happy receiving his parcel). Now it's 6.01.2025, my parcel is still missing, no one knows where it is. I was so mad, cause I needed this parcel before my flight. Thank u Matkahuolto............
The worst service for buying bus tickets! Never use!
Never ever buy any kind of service from them. They cancelled my bus ticket and now that I am asking for refund, they tell me that they just communicate in Finnish and Swedish!

Parcels never get delivered to where I want them delivered. They always pick the most inconvenient outlets. If I could give negative stars I would.
App not connecting, no way to retrieve the package.
My package was sent to an automated box instead of the noutopiste near my house. I had to download an app, I did and registered. I get to the unmanned location and the app can't connect. I had no idea which box my package was in. There's no good customer service, the chat is just an automated bot.
