Fantastic lettings agent
We rented a flat through Maxwell White for around 18 months, and had a great experience - Bruce is really helpful, and any issues were dealt with very quickly. We'd definitely recommend them!

The best agent ever!
We have rented out several flats through Maxwellwhite over the past 15+ years. Bruce is always super-efficient and the service he provides goes well beyond what we could ever have expected. He is an expert in so many things from legal processes, contracts and finding and dealing with tenants to repairs and sourcing white goods. He has saved us so much money and stress and I would highly recommend him.

Incompetent.
No inventory was completed before we moved in - therefore it was not noticed that the previous tenants had left rotting food in the cupboards before they vacated, which we had to deal with.
Floor boards sticking up in the kitchen, the living room had mould/damp from the windows.
Cannot even keep track of which tenant has paid what, as he tried to claim all of our deposit for 'unpaid rent' when in fact he did not keep track of his finances properly. Made us send him a list of every payment we made, to prove that we had been paying our rent, because he couldn't even simply keep track of payments each month.

Reconciliation of rent payments at the end of a tenancy is usual practice and following that, your deposit was returned in full with no deductions sought whatsoever.
Your review, left some 10 months after the end of your tenancy (during which none of these complaints were made) has more to do with an erroneous council tax bill you received in March this year, which somehow you felt we were at fault for. Instead of, as suggested, simply contacting the council to swiftly and easily rectify, you decided to leave this review instead. Obvious for what it is and not remotely damaging (as intended to be).
