Excellent customer focused service from…

Excellent customer focused service from MB. It's the first time I've used these guys after being recommend by a friend. Booked online and had lots of communication to ensure the appointment was still booked and a pre visit check in. The staff were great on arrival and I left my car with them for a service and MOT. I received automated updates on the jobs and options to carry out works for MOT advisories through a web page with thorough information about them . When I collected the vehicle it had also been cleaned inside and out, which I wasn't expecting. Would highly recommend and will use again.

Outstanding From Start to Finish

Well what can I say apart from if you’ve never used this garage before then you MUST!
They had my car for over 2 months with a very complicated issue, MB Motors have gone above and beyond to really solve the issues I was dealt with. I would recommend the team 100% to care for your premium vehicle, the honesty and communication goes a long way!

Excellent experience from initial call…

Excellent experience from initial call all the way through to completion. Modern clean workplace and very competitive quote. I went after personal recommendation and will definitely be returning and telling friends and colleagues to at least get quoted for any required work.

Back again to MB motors rugeley

Back again to MB motors rugeley.
Just a couple of small problems coolant leak and air conditioning not working.
The work was done quickly and very professional. I picked up my motor on a Friday afternoon and drove home. Over the weekend I noticed that the air conditioning was not working quite as it should I popped in to the first thing Monday morning to have it checked (with no appointment)they checked it over and reported back to me that the miner fault was fixed and all was good. I would like to give all the staff a big thanks for their help and support.

I recently took my car to MB Motors for…

Update due to the reply below.
I had to return the car twice for the correct window wiper to be fitted. The Monday after picking it up on the Friday when the original work was done as it was hanging over the side of the car, and then a few days later when I dropped it back in for your garage to inspect the other issue I raised as the other wiper blade you put on was to short and wasn’t clearing the windshield correctly leaving an area in the drivers views.
It is also true you called me once on a Sunday, but to ask me to remove my review, and when I refused you asked if I would come and see you. We made an appointment for 11am the following Friday. I arrive at 10:55, your receptionist said she would let you know I had arrived. She then told me you would be with me within a few minutes, then after waiting a while she later told me you would not be able to make the meeting. I gave your garage the opportunity to look at the issues I had, I gave you the opportunity to put it right and gave you the opportunity to meet me on your request. All of which you didn’t do.

I recently took my car to MB Motors for a wet belt replacement. During the process, additional work was recommended and carried out, bringing the total bill to around £3,500 from just under £1700.

There were issues with work carried out. It took three attempts to fit the correct windscreen wiper: the first was too long and overlapped the passenger-side A-pillar, and the second was too small.

More concerning was an issue with the steering and a new noise from the car that was not present before the work was done. When I returned to the garage, they suggested the steering rack needed replacing, which would have been another major repair.

Instead, I took the car to a different garage for a second opinion. They found that a track rod end had been left loose following work carried out by MB Motors, which is a serious safety issue.
Prior to being able to get it into a different garage I had to take the car off the road, which being self employed and the car is part of my business it meant I lost additional earning and had to pay a different garage to under go the work to put the car right.

After searching the internet and speaking to a few different garages as I was concerned about the noise, it would seem, the Ford wet belt kit normally includes a water pump, yet mine was not replaced as part of the job. This was my fault for not checking what was part of the package. So will definitely be checking in the future if OEM Parts are used and what the package includes. I’m not saying OEM parts were not used as I have no way of knowing, but it’s worth checking before booking your car into any garage.

Based on my experience, I would not trust them to work on my vehicle again.

We take all feedback seriously, however a number of the points raised are factually incorrect and require clarification.

The initial work carried out on your vehicle, including the wet belt replacement, was completed following correct diagnostic procedures and with your authorisation. Any additional work was clearly communicated and approved prior to being undertaken.

Regarding the windscreen wiper, this was a minor parts supply issue which was rectified promptly. It was not a repeated or ongoing issue as suggested.

With reference to the allegation of a loose track rod end, this is categorically denied. As part of our standard quality control process, all work is documented and photographed upon completion, and there is no evidence to support this claim. We have operated this process consistently for years to ensure the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

You also reported additional noise post-repair. We investigated this and provided professional advice based on our findings. It is important to note that vehicles of this age and condition can present multiple underlying issues, particularly following major engine work.

In relation to the wet belt kit, components such as water pumps are not always included as standard and are replaced based on manufacturer guidance, condition, and customer authorisation at the time.

We also made multiple attempts to resolve this matter professionally, including inviting you to attend the workshop to review and discuss the concerns. Unfortunately, two arranged appointments were not attended following agreement over the phone.

We strongly refute any suggestion that unsafe work was carried out. MB Motors Rugeley operates to a high standard, with strict processes in place to ensure vehicle safety, transparency, and quality workmanship.

If you wish to resolve this matter constructively, we remain open to discussing this further.

Excellent service from booking, adding tyres (which were also very competitive) through to MOT and tyres all fitted and back on my hands within 1 hour, and a free drink and make to work in comfort at the clean waiting area
