Had a great experience with 3 different employers from mbna. I was politely answered waiting only a few minutes. Shaheen was 1st employee i dealt with she was very patient and understanding on my situation and helped me to the beat of her knowledge then I spoke yo Lidia who was also very helpful and polite then I was transferred to the dispute department unfortunately did not get that person name.but she was very helpful also. Great job all.
Thanks
Worst website and app ever
Worst website and app ever. Cannot log in on either one, even if I re set my password.
It will NOT accept passwords from a password locker so you have to type in your 12 digit password manually every time. Also, you have to access the site from a search engine, not a bookmark or again it will not work. Fed up and disgusted.
I never accepted insurance protection…
I never accepted insurance protection plan never gave my consent but these criminals took off balance protection fees every month since last years I didn't know.
Now they refuse to refund me saying that it was a valid request.

MBNA has taken 5-6 months (and counting) to email me the link for the gift card I earned through points. MBNA has taken zero responsibility for this, has provided no satisfactory explanation, no timeline, no initiative in correcting this issue. Depending on which way the court swings, this could definitely be considered fraudulent under Canadian law. I am not in my 59th minute of "continuing to hold." This is unacceptable and they should be kicked out of the market.
Misleading Promotional Balance Transfer with a Bigger Trap
I would give it a zero if I can but then I cannot write a review.
I had an agent called me in June 2025 regarding a promotion of a balance transfer. At the time, I thought what a great deal because for a 2% fee I can utilize the money for investment purposes especially with 0% interest for 6months. My understanding is that because I had a zero prior to the balance transfer, there is no minimum payment so I did not bother to check my monthly statement knowing that I have under Feb 2026 to pay it off which was my plan. Luckily I decided to check my statement last week and noted that they had been charging me 16.99% interest on that balance transfer on top of the fees that I had paid because they said I haven't made the minimal monthly payment. In my opinion, this is very misleading to consumers and is a trap to take advantage of the poor innocent consumers whom they think will struggle with minimal payment and then get them on the hook for a 40yrs payment plan. Luckily for me, I am in a position to pay off the full amount. But thinking out loud, what if the consumers do not understand english well, or had hearing issues, and difficulty with someone speaking too quickly.... and their agents are constantly calling you about their promotion, but only to mislead you into a life long trap. Their trap is to wait for you to miss that 1 minimal payment then the promotion expires immediately and a higher interest rate will kick in for that balance transfer you have made. then you will locked into this payment plan for the next 40yrs....VERY VERY BAD! I had been a loyal consumer / customer of MBNA for the past 24yrs and now I know the truth behind their mask. Very terrible company and sounds very similar to their parent company practice as well. EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED LOYAL MBNA CUSTOMER....for another 2wks before I close my account and promised myself that I would never nor will I recommend them to any of my business colleagues, friends, or families. I hope a good hearted lawyer will take on a class action lawsuit against their practice / this practice as many consumers will suffer. This is not the first time they have been in a class action lawsuit as I noted on google that they have been involved with many going back to 2012 with similar practices. I will be the first to sign that petition if a good hearted lawyer is willing to take stand for innocent consumers.
NBNA is a joke
NBNA is a joke told me I'm not old enough didnt make enough money credit score to low. I'm 59 make 143k a year an my credit score is 843
offered no real protection when something goes wrong
I’m extremely disappointed with how MBNA handled a clear case of misrepresentation on my credit card.
I disputed a one‑time ticket purchase (through StubHub) where the seats I received were nowhere near what was advertised. I provided screenshots, seating charts, and detailed proof that the tickets were misrepresented.
MBNA then sent me a letter dated November 8 that incorrectly labeled my complaint as a “recurring membership” issue. When I called in, the agent basically told me to ignore the letter because it didn’t really match my dispute.
On the phone, the agent explained that MBNA “cannot assist” because I attended the event.
Their position, based on MasterCard rules, is that to qualify for a dispute you must refuse the service entirely (i.e., leave the event), even if the service was clearly not as advertised. In other words, if you try to make the best of a bad situation rather than walking out, you effectively give up your rights.
So from my experience:
- MBNA misclassified my dispute in writing, causing confusion.
- They acknowledged the letter was irrelevant and didn’t fix or clarify it proactively.
- They refused to help purely because I stayed at the event, despite clear evidence of misrepresentation.
- Their “protection” doesn’t seem to extend to real‑world situations where merchants mislead you but you still use the service in some form.
This experience has really shaken my trust in MBNA as a credit card provider. I no longer feel confident that they will stand behind me as a customer when something clearly goes wrong with a purchase.
MBNA Canada has the worst customer…
MBNA Canada has the worst customer service of any credit card company I have ever dealt with. It is impossible to contact them. You will find a statement saying that their phones are answered 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. When you call, a recording tells you that the office is closed and will open at 7 a.m. Or maybe 9 a.m., depending on which recording you reach. If you want to report a potential fraud, you are told to “contact this number immediately,” but either the office is closed or the phone never connects to a representative. You can be on hold for literally hours. Also, the recorded message tells you how to connect with a live agent by logging into on-line banking and tapping the Chat icon. THERE IS NO CHAT ICON. Who is in charge of programming the darn recording? My card is linked to Amazon Rewards MasterCard. You’d think there would be enough money circulating through there to hire enough people who know how to do their jobs. Apparently not. Listen up MBNA: your customers are frustrated and angry and you are not the only game in town.

This week alone I’ve spent 8 hours on phone with them waiting because my card was blocked due to security concerns even though I’ve contacted them numerous times before about those transactions being made by me. If you’re planning on reaching to customer service, plan days to reach them
ongoing issues with this company
ongoing issues with this company. I have been waiting for 25 business days now for the card to arrive. I have checked in weekly with a " Its in the mail and should be there soon" response every time. I asked every time " has it left your building yet?" to which i get a response " Yes" Today I called yet again. The agent dug a bit and found out it has actually NEVER BEEN ISSUED!!!! 4 agents lied previously. She said she " guarantees me this time it will leave and should be to me in 7-10 business days". She was so apologetic and polite I couldn't even get annoyed with her. Anyone want to place a bet on if I ever actually get the card?? Update- finally got the card!!! Oct 8-dec 1!!!

Worst banking experience. Do not get the MBNA Amazon Credit Card.
Probably the worst banking experience I've ever had. TLDR:
- signed up via Amazon $100 giftcard offer and the mbna credit card synced all my Amazon accounts, and switched over the payments
- no credit card number was provided, but charges were being added automatically
- no credit credit received with 2.5 weeks. I called to ask for it. I was told it will come within a month
- 6.5 weeks later - no credit card and I CANNOT pay the bill because I DO NOT have the credit card number still. So stressful
- I called mnba again. 5 min wait ,20 min conversation, agent cannot help me and suggests a security phone number to call: 1800-379-2744 (which ends up being a main line)
- I call the number - waiting on hold for 55 mins!!! and still holding. I NEED the credit card number so I can pay it off. I couldn't keep waiting because I don't have time for this, and this is the worst customer experience and credit card process i've ever experienced
Absolutely furious with this company. I'm stressed because I can't pay the bill and the interest rate it 19%+ and I can't get ahold of anyone who can help me!!!
Legacy to the max company. I don't think I've been more frustrated than this before.

Has to be the worst service of any CC service I've ever had. Call me for a random fraud check for some purchases, all good and that's the way it should be . But , call the number back to verify and no one answered the phone . Five attempts and each one , after 15 minutes on hold , voice comes in and says there's no one here to take your call , please call back later . This is their fraud department !
Terrible service !

Not impressed with this company
Not impressed with this company, already had a card with them, they offered me a credit limit increase which I tried to accept, I had to go through a request for the increase to which they did a hard credit check on my credit! I am already with them, what are you checking my credit again and dropping my score??
I'll be paying them off the amount I owe them and canceling my card, this company is a clown show, shouldn't be surprised being a TD card.
Never shipped me my card
Never shipped me my card, cannot pay off card due too them never sending me card, contacted many times and told it shipped but never received
