i had a little doubt to plug a microphone on my bodhran. but what a difference in playing and hearing diffetent sounds so well! i should have done this a long time ago….
the mute control clip on your belt is a must have in life performances.

although the connectors, plugs can be more solid ( avoid cracks and noisy disturbance sounds)

I bought the whistle for my 9 year old granddaughter who will be doing her grade 2 shortly, to say she was happy was an understatement, she loves the tone/sound, the weight in her hand, in fact it's never out of her hand, she just loves it. I have to say it was a great fast turnaround from I ordered it until I received it, great service .

I recently ordered a bodhrán from McNeela. It has been a good experience. The online order process was smooth. Delivery to the US was excellent. I received the instrument a week ahead of expected. The Bodran packaging was excellent. It arrived in perfect condition. Though I am but a beginner, I believe the sound is very good. It is a quality instrument.

Excellent service & product! Just a shame there was an additional charge for VAT by the UK government! Not sure if I payed Eire tax as well though :(

McNeela's website contained enough information so that I could make a good purchasing decision, the ordering process was straightforward, and I was looking forward to getting my hands on my new bodhran. I did not have to wait long - my new drum arrived at my doorstep in the middle of the USA within four days!

The bodhran itself is well made and sounds fantastic. The entire transaction, from perusing their website to making my first sounds on the drum, was 100% positive and I could not be more pleased!

Oh my gosh what a wonderful tin whistle I was fortunate to come across! I was surprised by the weight of it…solid, well crafted and beautiful. Customer service…exceptional! It arrived quickly, very well packaged, I was kept up to date every step of the way, and I truly appreciate the follow-up emails of encouragement and new songs. I still have to try the master class but even on my own, I was able to pick up the fingering techniques, rolls, and I’m getting pretty good on my first song and am dabbling with some new ones. And this is after having my whistle for only two weeks! BUT, like any instrument, you must practice, lol. I played the clarinet for years so it was a bit easier for me to pick up on playing the tin whistle. I absolutely recommend the purchase of the Wild Tin Whistle and I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I do!

Fast fulfillment and shipping, excellent quality instrument. I bought the Wren Concertina and I absolutely love it. The notes play smooth and easy and you can tell the construction is precision and uses quality materials.

I purchased an Irish Tenor Banjo, The Viking, and it arrived without a problem. However, the thorough inspection of the instrument, according to the website, missed a loose J hook and loose arm rest. While these are minor issues, it takes little more than a wiggle of each J hook and bolt to ensure they are secure. Finally, remember that if you use their "try at home" return policy, you will pay a high shipping fee. McNeela ships the instruments at 1 kg, keeping their shipping costs low while charging the customer full shipping. If you're in the U.S., you're better off buying a Deering or even a Gold Tone. The latter may be built in China, but McNeela won't say where their banjos originate. It very well could be China.

I decided to buy tuneable whistles after years of playing non-tuneable types. I researched and found Wild Whistles. I live in Canada and the selection available is limited. I had to order sight unseen from Ireland let alone handle or play any. I corresponded with McNeela Instruments as I had questions and they are so pleasant to deal with. I took the plunge and ordered the 5 pack (4 get 1 free) . They were promptly delivered in the timeframe they promised. As a matter of fact they arrived by courier 1 hour before my afternoon gig. I was grateful for the well padded package. I quickly checked the tuning ( I am familiar with wind instrument tuning from my school days) and decided to use them right away. What wonderful sounds came from the easy to play Wild Whistles! Lots of compliments from my bandmates about the amazing quality of the whistles. I am so glad I found McNeela Instruments. Now to upgrade my bodhran (it's actually on order now)

Quite disappointed with the experience. I purchased an accordion and was told 4-5 days later that the item was out of stock, however, I checked and it was still in stock. I was offered no alternative and when I wrote to them via email I received no response.

You can count on top quality instruments (I've purchased four) and the customer service is exceptional.

I was inspired by the many YouTube videos from both Mcneela people and private players… specifically Shaun Laverty playing Slan le Maigh. When I received the Wild D whistle, I was not dissapointed with what really matters, tone quality, playability and ease of use. The quality of manufacture is exceptional which simply adds to the pleasure of ownership

I tried to get some info on the specifications of one of their mandolins; they do not disclose them on their homepage, which is quite unique (not to say a total failure for someone selling musical instruments over the internet). I got a reply to my inquiry very quickly, but the information I asked (nut width of a specific model) was apparently not really known to them either. I would not recommend buying musical instruments at a store where people don't really know what they sell.

I tried the Irish Whistle with an inexpensive one. What a MISTAKE! The McNeela instrument feels solid and substantial and the experience was incredible. Jumping to the higher octave without squeaking comes far more effortlessly . . . even for the beginner! Definitely worth the price!
