I live in the central US, but all appointments are given in Eastern times. For example, I have an appointment at 1 PM central but the appointment says 2 PM EST. Which, its easy to read the EST, but I don't check that when I am quickly glancing at the time of the appointment. I just look at the number and move on. Because of this, I have missed appointments because I log on at 2 PM Central, not realizing that I am already an hour late. To add to this, for whatever reason, appointments are canceled immediately if you are not on time. I was having technical issues, was able to get into the appointment but I was about 2 minutes behind because of those issues, and the appointment was canceled and I was charged for missing it. I cannot say this enough, if you can, stay away from MDLIVE. truly, the worst experience for medical care Ive ever had and I am a veteran who deals with the VA on a regular basis. They make the VA look like 5 star treatment.

The app doent work well at all. Lags ,buffer, logs you out while trying to schedule appointments. Cancelled visits are frequent and they charge you for missed appts when they dont show up to the visit. Save yourself the time and hassle and just find an in person doc

DO NOT USE MD LIVE! If a medical service was a pure money-grabbing scam, it would be called MD Live. I had my telehealth annual physical done with a PCP after getting a blood panel done at Quest Labs. The PCP was curt, rude, and had a very obvious "I don't care about you. I just want to get this call over with. Don't ask me any questions" attitude. She couldn't give me any definitive answers regarding abnormal levels in my blood panel, and just used the blanket statement "drink more fluids" without explaining or discussing anything (There's nothing wrong with my hydration levels). Just very generic answers that didn't give me a lot of confidence in her knowledge. I told her I was taking creatine, but she didn't seem to acknowledge that creatine usually causes increased creatinine levels, but is not harmful. You have a much better chance of getting your questions answered using google or AI. These doctors are useless and just act like they don't want to be bothered. (the MD's name is Silwana Sidorczuk, if you wanted to know. Do not use her.). When I asked her more about creatine and if I could continue taking creatine after abstaining and retesting my creatinine levels, she got tired of my questions and blocked the chat box on the app. Incredibly unprofessional. This was my first experience with MD Live and will definitely be my last. Useless service and so upsetting when I just have questions about my health!

This is by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after everything I have gone through with MDLIVE, I cannot let this go without sharing my experience.
MDLIVE was having technical issues verifying my insurance eligibility. However, a representative verbally confirmed my eligibility through my insurance company and created a ticket to resolve the technical issue. I was specifically told that I could still proceed with the consultation because my coverage had already been confirmed. I was also told that if I was charged, I would receive a refund because I was covered.
I trusted what their representatives told me and used the service.
For weeks, I called MDLIVE repeatedly to follow up on the ticket. Every time, I was basically told there was nothing they could do and that I needed to continue waiting. Then, despite the open ticket and the fact that my eligibility had already been confirmed, MDLIVE suddenly charged my card for the FULL amount without even submitting the claim to my insurance first.
I contacted both my insurance company and MDLIVE again, only to find out that there is STILL an ongoing technical issue between them. Now MDLIVE is refusing to refund my money while they continue having problems with THEIR OWN SYSTEM.
How is that acceptable?
I followed MDLIVE's instructions. I confirmed my coverage. Their representative confirmed my eligibility. They opened the ticket. They told me it was okay to proceed with the service. They told me I would be refunded if I was charged because I was covered. Yet somehow, I am the one stuck paying the price for a technical problem that I had absolutely no control over.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I have a toddler and an infant. I chose a virtual consultation because it was supposed to be convenient. Instead, I have spent weeks calling back and forth between Cigna and MDLIVE, trying to fix a problem that should never have become my responsibility in the first place.
This has been an unbelievable inconvenience and an absolute mess. A virtual healthcare service is supposed to make accessing care easier—not create weeks of phone calls, unexpected charges, and unnecessary stress because of its own technical problems.
I am extremely disappointed with how MDLIVE handled this situation. After this experience, I have completely lost confidence in their service and will not use MDLIVE again.

I had a very disappointing and uncomfortable virtual appointment with Dr. Tahera Azharuddin.
I scheduled this appointment because I needed refills for medications I have been taking for approximately 10 years as part of my treatment for generalized anxiety disorder.
From the beginning of the medication discussion, I felt as though my treatment was being judged rather than simply reviewed. Dr. Azharuddin questioned why I was taking my medication and stated that it was used for weight loss, seizures/convulsions, and other purposes rather than generalized anxiety disorder. She also commented that my dosage was “too much.”
Then, as she began reading my medications and dosages aloud, her reactions became visibly judgmental. When she read “Topiramate, 200 mg,” she made a pronounced facial expression and verbal reaction. When she got to “Desvenlafaxine, 100 mg,” she reacted again.
After everything she had already said about my treatment, the facial expressions were the point where I finally felt I had to say something. I stopped her and asked, “What’s up with the face? Why are you making those faces? Please stop making those faces.”
I told her that I felt she was judging me and that, as a medical physician, she should not be making a patient feel that way. Her response was, “I’m not a psychiatrist.” I replied, “Indeed, you are not, but you are still a medical physician, and you should not be judging me.” She laughed during this exchange.
That was probably the most upsetting part of the appointment. I had directly told a medical provider that her behavior was making me uncomfortable, and instead of acknowledging my concern, she laughed.
She also asked me to take pictures of my prescription bottles, which I provided. I understand the need to verify medications, and I have no objection to appropriate medical verification. However, combined with the way the rest of the conversation was handled, it made me feel as though she doubted that I was actually taking medications that have been part of my treatment for years.
Dr. Azharuddin ultimately prescribed a 30-day supply and told me that I would need to see a psychiatrist for continued treatment. I want to emphasize that I have no problem with that decision. If she was not comfortable managing these medications long-term, she could simply have explained that professionally. I would have respected her decision and moved on.
My complaint is about HOW I was treated—not the fact that she recommended a psychiatrist or limited the prescription to 30 days.
There was also a strange part of the conversation in which she repeatedly asked what languages I speak while discussing referrals to other providers. I am fluent in English, conducted the entire appointment in English, and never requested language assistance, so I did not understand why my language became relevant.
A physician has every right to review a patient’s medications, question a dosage, verify prescriptions, or disagree with another provider’s treatment plan. What I found unacceptable was being made to feel judged and ridiculed while those concerns were being discussed.
Unfortunately, my experience with MDLIVE after the appointment only added to my disappointment. I reached out specifically because I wanted to report what happened and speak with someone about how I had been treated. Instead, I received what appeared to be a generic response thanking me and directing me to customer service. There was no meaningful acknowledgment of what I had described or any indication in that response that my concerns about the provider’s conduct were being taken seriously.
After such an upsetting encounter, receiving what felt like an automated response made me feel as though MDLIVE could not have cared less about my experience.
It also left me questioning how seriously complaints about provider conduct are handled on this platform. When a patient reports that they felt openly judged by a physician, that they had to ask the physician to stop making judgmental facial expressions, and that the physician laughed during that confrontation, I would expect something more meaningful than what appeared to be a generic customer-service response.
The appointment itself was horrible, but MDLIVE’s response afterward made the overall experience even worse. At this point, I have very little confidence that my complaint will be meaningfully addressed.
I would not see this provider again, and based on both the appointment and the response I received afterward, I would not choose MDLIVE again.

Useless service. They are just there to steal your insurance money while almost always redirecting your care to an ER or urgent care. Thieves.

Awful service. Cannot contact my prescriber directly, and scheduling requests are not returned. Phone service is abysmal. Takes 10 minutes to reach live person, who simply has clerical role.
The business model makes sense, but EverNorth and MD Live fail miserably in execution.

I had an appointment with m d live. My first appointment, I was on a video cam. When I dialed into m d live. My next appointment with the same doctor for some reason. I couldn't video chat with them so they called me on the phone
Unfortunately, my phone does not get outside calls. So I called in to try and get someone to talk to, and they told me they have no connection to the doctors. They then charge me for a no show appointment.

The doctors are useless. Had a minor toe abscess due to an obvious problem - ingrown nail. I had the same issue on the other side of the nail previously and was prescribed an antibiotic to prevent infection from spreading before a podiatrist appointment to fix the KNOWN issue. He "respectfully declined" my request and said it needed to be seen in an urgent care. So I can pay $400 for them to give me the same antibiotic I am requesting from you until I can see my podiatrist? Ridiculous. No more telehealth visits for me. A total waste of money for feckless doctors.

I didn't even want to give it one star...this is basically insurance fraud. You pay $35 to see a Dr. by phone, who doesn't listen when you explain that your entire family has the same thing and is on antibiotics...then refuses to give your son an antibiotic, telling him to call in a few days when it is worse, or if he tests positive for COVID. When asked if we have to pay again, he said "I don't do the billing..." (convenient). Well, I called asking for a refund, because he got nothing and the girl said "The Dr. gave him a diagnosis, so we can't refund..." What diagnosis was given? Nothing but take Tylenol and get a Covid test was given. Waste of my money and time. I was also told that when we have to call again for the same issue, we will have a copay AGAIN. How many time do they kick the can for people and get money for double-booking people for the same issues? Sounds like insurance fraud to me! SCAM! Do not use this service. 100% NOT HELPFUL!

Useless. They just tell you to see a doctor in person and then end the call on you.

Impossible to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Cancellation is not possible, rescheduler is not loading. Nobody will help even over the phone. Now I have to physically go to the appointment to let them know that I need to reschedule this. What kind of service is this?

The mental health care is an absolute joke. They do not tell you in advance that the psychiatrists are limited on what they can and can’t do and they’re also extremely limited on what medications they can and can’t prescribe. My doctor told me I needed a certain medication but she couldn’t prescribe it so I’d have to see someone else to get that medication prescribed. My experience was a complete waist of time. I was completely balling my eyes out during my appointment and my psychiatrist Heather Hudson showed absolutely zero sympathy. I don’t know why there is a mental health option on this site since the psychiatrists are so limited. If I could leave no star at all I would.

Terrible. I have used this in the past and was happy, actually talked to a doctor on the phone, described my symptoms and got a prescription. All good.
Today, I tried this again for a minor infection. I know myself pretty well, had a congestion for a week or so. Today my throat was sore, hurt to swallow and ears were clogged. Had this before, a sinus infection. Happens about once a year, I normally get a short round of antibiotics and done. Today, I couldn’t speak with a doctor. Filled out a bunch of non-pertaining questions and got an email about an hour later saying take over the counter meds. Waste of time and $48. Called to complain and girl said they couldn’t do anything, there was no recourse. Called another service got antibiotics ($2 at pharmacy) and already starting to feel better. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I will not be back.

Terrible company! They refuse to see patients as a primary care provider unless you have medical insurance. When you pay to be seen they will write minimal tabs for what is typical a 90 day supply in my experience only providing 12 tablets. The company then request that you pay a higher amount to see a primary care provider which is more expensive. They now state you can not pay privately to see a primary care provider as they can not bill the @$300 they bill medical insurance for the visit to the consumer so private pay customers are forced to pay for multiple visits to try to get the same quantity we would receive if we were allowed to see a primary care doctor. In my example at $89 a visit and 12 tablets a visit I would have to pay $667 to receive a 90 day supply of my medication. They are not doctors they are drug dealers they don’t care about patient care they care about fee structures. Please go to Sesame Care for your tel health needs. This company will only provide care once unsustainable fees are collected.

MDLIVE is so bad—they don't actually write prescriptions; they just recommend buying over-the-counter medications... the kind of information anyone at the pharmacy could give you! You call customer service and they don't resolve anything... don't waste your energy, time, and money...

**Disappointing Experience**
I had two appointments with a psychiatrist named Dr. Sayonara Baez through MD Live and unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. Both appointments felt rushed, and I left feeling like there wasn't much genuine effort to understand what I was actually going through or what was behind the issues I was experiencing.
Based on my experience with MD Live, it seemed like providers already had access to information about my history, so I assumed she was familiar with my medical background. Because of that, I didn't realize I needed to explain every detail of my history during our very limited time together.
She ultimately decided that she no longer wanted to continue treating me because she felt that trust had been broken. I found that extremely upsetting, especially after only having two conversations with her. I had personal reasons for not immediately disclosing everything that was happening in my life, and I don't feel those reasons were understood or given much consideration.
When you're already struggling and have reasons for being hesitant to open up, being met with a rushed appointment and then having your care discontinued after only two visits can feel incredibly invalidating. I know what I've experienced and why I've made certain decisions, and I believe patients deserve to feel heard and understood before judgments are made about them.
Overall, I did not feel that this provider took the time to understand me as a person or what was actually going on beneath the surface. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling more discouraged about seeking help rather than supported by it.

# MDLive Urgent Care Review
I am incredibly disappointed with the urgent care service I received from MDLive. I turned to this platform for timely medical help after a known exposure to strep throat, explicitly detailing that I was experiencing a headache, stomach pain, and visible pus/pustules on the back of my throat.
Despite providing these clear, textbook symptoms alongside a confirmed exposure, the provider failed to give me proper evaluation or treatment. Because they did not take my symptoms seriously or prescribe the necessary medication, my illness remains unresolved, and I am completely unable to safely return to work.
The primary goal of telehealth urgent care should be accessible, accurate diagnosis and treatment, but this experience felt incredibly dismissive and left me stranded without the care or medical clearance I needed. I do not recommend MDLive for anyone dealing with acute illness or clear bacterial exposure.

I made and paid for the appointment. The instructions said to wait for a call from the physician, which never came. I happened to look at my computer and saw a button that asked me to join the appointment. When I did, I was told that the appointment had ended. Now I'm out $90 and still need care.
