I cannot recommend MedConnect Europe Ltd based on our experience.

We approached MedConnect for help with our son’s application to study medicine at Plovdiv Medical University in Bulgaria and paid an initial fee of £850 to begin the process.

Around June, we were told to arrange the entrance examination with the university. However, Plovdiv Medical University claimed that it had not received the entrance examination payment. We repeatedly provided evidence from Halifax, including bank statements, screenshots and transaction details, but the university continued to insist that the money had not arrived.

We contacted MedConnect numerous times and were told that they were looking into the problem, but months passed without a proper resolution. By that point, we had become extremely frustrated and had lost confidence in both MedConnect and Plovdiv Medical University. I therefore made a formal complaint and asked MedConnect to refund the £850 we had paid them.

They refused. One of the company’s founders called me and was adamant that the money would not be returned. He also told me that MedConnect was doing us a favour by trying to resolve the payment issue. I found this response dismissive and unprofessional, particularly after we had spent months trying to provide evidence and obtain a clear answer.

Several months later, MedConnect contacted us to say that Plovdiv had finally accepted the entrance examination payment and that our son could book the test. By then, however, the delays, poor communication and lack of a satisfactory explanation had destroyed our trust in both organisations. We no longer wished to continue with the application.

To date, MedConnect has not refunded our £850, and our recent emails requesting the return of the money have gone unanswered.

This review reflects our personal experience. Based on what happened to us, I would strongly advise prospective students and their families to be extremely cautious before paying MedConnect Europe Ltd or applying to Plovdiv through them. Make sure you understand exactly what every payment covers, obtain all terms in writing and be aware that, if something goes wrong, you may struggle to recover your money.

Extremely unprofessional behaviour on the phone once rejected their offer. Lady on the phone kept laughing saying the other agencies who are quoting less is a scam when this company is charging extremely more. Ended the phone with sarcasm wishing best of luck with the journey. Really would not recommend and heavily disappointed with this interaction - a complaint will be put in formally.

Rachel, Krupa and friends helped guide us after we arrived in Riga. They were super helpful and went above and beyond in answering our questions and putting our mind at ease. I’m really grateful for their support and look forward to staying in touch with them. Thank you! :)

Definitely recommend them best for helping students through out the journey and process of studies in europe.I was at peace of mind they did all the paperwork and even in the country where we got admission helped us all, guided very well in every single situation. Hamza and Hussain were with us through out the whole journey they were very cooperative sorted everything in the University,Showed all the places around for shopping ,helped us with accommodation. Excellent service and really helped me with relocation Dr Hamza especially with the process of moving to Malta and finding accomodation. If I had any issues with the application process they were always ready at hand to help me and assist me.

Medconnect has been extremely helpful in helping me settle in to Bulgaria where I will be going to Pleven University to study medicine and also really helpful with finding accommodation and getting my visa.

Really smooth experience. From when I first talked to them and from the first time I landed, the whole process was made ten times easier. They help out with every step. Any questions you have just ask them and they will give guidance.

The Medconnect relocation team for Burgas Medical University in Bulgaria have been very professional, organised and responsible in guiding the students. They have been approachable and patient to answer any queries in a timely manner. Desilava and Bogdana especially have been incredibly helpful, and supportive to us, and made sure that we had everything sorted without any problems at all. They were efficient to anticipate potential needs and acted in advance. I would definitely recommend Medconnect to further students and parents!
