New chair
Two men have just dropped off my new chair from Medequip, they called to let me know when they would arrive and were on time, they were friendly, polite and took great care during the delivery. I would just like to thank you all, excellent service from start to finish.
Fantastic and friendly service
Fantastic and friendly service.
Charlie and Malcom were courteous and very helpful with efficiency.
Swift delivery and assembly of the equipment.
I could not have asked for a better customer service.
Thank you very much
Great job!!
Today we had Medequip fitting some equipment by Imran.
Imran did a great job and, he was very friendly and kept everything clean so hardly any mess to clear up.
Delivering Misery and Despair across the UK
Medequip are delivering misery and despair across the UK. They need to improve communications, listen to service users and take some action. Good Manners would be a useful place to start. Followed by acknowledging and apologising for service failures.
This organisation is supposed to be delivering equipment to people in poor health, some of whom are ageing and vulnerable.
The service is a shambles. The disrespectful way they treat service users is a disgrace.
Medequip is not fit for purpose.
The customer service is appalling
The customer service is appalling. My 90 year old father had a profile bed delivered which was faulty and did not lift up. Having rung the company they agreed it was urgent and would deal with it that morning as he needed to be in bed and was sat in a chair.
It took 37 hours from the first phone call of which there were several to actual repair. At this point we were nearing 7 days from first delivery. There was little help or advice as to when this would be repaired. This coupled with a lack of communication and vulnerable adults left without the correct equipment is concerning. It begs the question whether this is considered a Safeguarding issue. Such a shame for those who have nobody to speak on their behalf about this poor service.
Could not care less about patient's pain
Our District Nurse ordered a special anti bedsore mattress for today's delivery as my wife was in such pain. We told Medequip that delivery needed to be between 5 and 6 pm and it was put on the order.
Despite that info the mattress was delivered at 4.15 pm and the driver did not even ring the doorbell just threw a "sorry we missed you" card into the porch. This delivery needs to have a nurse present and Medequip will not even give a time for the nurse to attend.
This is a classic case of "could not care less" and the medequip systems do not allow for attending with other professionals.
I see from this review that 87% of reviewers have had the same or similar "could not care less" attitude and it is clear that Medequip are not meeting their basic contract requirements. I notice that the company will respond to the few good reviews but they ignore criticism.
So if others have similar experience write to your MP suggesting that their contract should be taken from them.
So my wife will have another painful night just because of the could not care less attitude of this company
So last week I called this Mediquip!!!
So last week I called this Mediquip!!!! To have a replacement shower chair delivered today!!! So I received a text message this morning saying they would deliver between 8am - 9am 👀 so it’s 10am NO DELIVERY so I called the office I was told that I am not there system, and the reason why because they have my postcode wrong!!! This business is not professional at all they lie!!! People have real medical issues and you have this company that are just don’t care at all. So I’m not in your system!!! How are you texting me!!! So then I was told the job was completed by a technician called Steven. NO DELIVERY from the Woolwich branch!!! Awful useless company
Little wonder the NHS is loosing money…
Little wonder the NHS is loosing money to private companies. This one is one of the worst companies to get contracts from NHS. Slow to collect equipment - if they collect at all And they never keep an appointment Still waiting since 11.30 for them to collect equipment - that has been left in a house unused for 5 months . Including a new hospital bed
Disappointed
I purchased a four wheel rollator/walker from this company via their website two years ago, and the wheels are worn-out and the brakes needed adjusting. I contacted them as regards to servicing it and I had a reply from Aisha and Patrick who said that they only service equipment that has been obtained via the local authority. This is a disgusting state of customer relations and they really shouldn't offer equipment for private purchase on their website if they aren't going to follow up with servicing and aftercare. I am very disappointed and angry with this, and will now have to consider an addedexpense of purchasing a new rollator/walker from a different company who offer servicing and aftercare which I was prepared to pay for. AVOID!!!
Terrible Customer Service
Received a text message saying Technician Michael would be making a delivery today.
When delivery was made he at first placed the shower chair replacement seat (in a very large cardboard box 2feet cubed), I said are you Michael the technician and are you going to replace the seat, which he did not seem to happy to fit but he did.
As he was about to leave I mentioned that he had forgotten to take the box and packaging with him, His reply was that they did not have a skip at their premises so I would have to dispose of the box etc.
As he was leaving my house he said that "I had bad attitude"
As a man aged 79 I now have to dispose of the leftover packaging.
Great Customer Service Ido NOT think
Raise Height of sofa
My wife returned home from hospital after major surgery to her leg, the community nurse then checked our home to advise on any possible assistance she could have to improve mobility, the recommendation was to increase height of the sofa and a foot stool to rest leg we agreed to this and Mediquip was to carry out this task. Mediquip arrived today, the driver dropped off the foot stool looked at the sofa and stated it could not be raised but could provide a cushion. My sofas are ordinary two seater and three seater sofas, I had already raised the three seater with a few blocks of wood but not really high enough, for this man to now state that they could not be raised and, without any discussion completely dumbfounded me, this is not rocket science. I went on to the Mediquip website and, guess what? they advertise furniture raisers suitable for sofas etc that can be fitted without causing any damage, looks like I have a do it yourself job coming up because obviously Mediquip do not have the skill level to do this complex operation. Update, although I am no spring chicken I have now humped and dumped the sofa around and did the job myself, done my back in but at least it saved the young men from Mediquip the trouble.
Unbelievably poor attitude…
Unbelievably poor attitude from delivery driver. Barely grunted a single word, no help, no care taken, didn't want to know, very uncomfortable to have him in the house. Their "customer service charter" on the website really couldn't be any further from the real experience! What if this was for a single vulnerable person, it'd be almost criminal to send this driver.
The only other previous delivery we had from them was equally bad, a young lad shoved an item at me (that we'd be told would be set up for us) and said I don't know how to set it up, there's instructions inside.
If you have ANY CHOICE at all, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I would never buy from them and it's sad this is the appalling service our NHS has to pay for.
Terrible service
Very poor service first they hadn't logged my son or his equipment so I took a whole day to sort out the Medequip service in N yorks wouldn't do it had to go through another service to register it to send to medequip to register then wanted collected - a day given then a time frame stayed in all day they didn't come in time frame then several hours later had a text to say would be with us in 6 minutes -never came called medequip who said driver had ran out of time - WHAT?? and no help re when they will ever turn up to collect
Rubbish service
Unfortunately we don’t get a choice about using this company. They are appalling they post a card through the door saying unable to deliver despite the fact we were in all day, the door bell never rang! They ring to say they will rearrange for the following morning but don’t, They send a text at 7.00 pm saying they will be with us in 10 mins, they never showed up! Utterly and consistently rubbish.
Absolutely shocking way that this firm…
Absolutely shocking way that this firm deals with the collection of equipment after our father died we made arrangements 4 separate times and on each occasion they failed to turn up at the time slots we were given only to be told on last phone call they don't give time slots so for us to have to wait in my deceased father's house all day and night waiting for a collection is discusting especially when they have been informed that the property is empty and no one lives there so in the end we dismantled the equipment and put it outside in the garden and informed them that scrap people are always in the area but to be honest we have given up and not bothered shouldn't be allowed to still operate no compassion when you are at your most vulnerable had to give a 1 star but it doesn't deserve it
Heartless People
Appalling company. My husband died in one of their beds whilst I held his hand and told him I loved him. After almost a week the bed is still in my front room and I can't bear to be there whilst it's looming large. Firstly they said it would be 10 days before they picked it up, although if the district nurses rang (they did) they would pick it up in 3 days. Now, after 3 days and having rung them, they say they will only pick up when it will be 2 weeks after his death and the receptionist was so unsympathetic and smug in her replies. She was horrible. She said that if I didn't agree to the booking it would stay there longer. I'm afraid I was so distraught (in tears) that I called her a heartless "". I still don't know when it will be collected. If they haven't the space to store them (she said that) then they shouldn't be overstretching themselves to make a profit from others suffering. My heart is broken and people like this do NOT help. It makes me wonder whether one day's use wasn't enough money for them ??
Mediqup unable to keep appointments
I’ve now arranged with Mediquip customer services 3 times over the past few weeks for them to fix the brake on my mums armchair for safety reasons as the chair slides back each time I or her carer get my mum up or sit her down. Mediquip arrived twice in the morning To fix the brake except I was out at work as I’d asked for an afternoon appointment and had not received any text or confirmation that they had chosen to come to my house when I would be out! The 3rd visit which Charlene the customer service advisor promised me would be Sunday afternoon never turned up. I rang them Charlene the person who’d promised me this visit would go ahead who told me in a real I don’t give a monkey’s patronising voice “oh yeah. Sam the driver rang me to say they’d allocated another morning appointment so he wasn’t coming as he knew that would be a waste of time. Charlene told me I had to ring back today Monday 14th to rearrange another appointment first she said ring us at 9 then she said no make it 11 or they will give you another morning appointment! I said this is dangerous for my mum. She said she knew that and it was terrible! I said it is such a waste of everyone’s time and money; Charlene told me Mediquip get paid for missed calls! WHY when they are deliberately coming to my house when they know I’m out! To my understanding that says this company is completely wasting the public purses money. Unfortunately the only place I can find outside Mediquip to complain too is NHS Yorkshire.
Does anyone know if there is someone I can complain too about my concerns in Lancashire other than Mediquip as I’m clearly getting nowhere talking to Mediquip
